My husband and I recently had our wedding at Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm, and we could not be happier with our experience. We are so grateful that we chose to have our wedding here ...and that we were able to celebrate at such a beautiful venue.
One of the things we appreciated most was how attentive and accommodating the entire team was throughout the planning process. They were always willing to meet with us as much or as little as we needed and were incredibly helpful without ever making the process feel overwhelming. My husband and I were actually a little hesitant about having a wedding in general because we are not big “center of attention” or party people, but the team at Locust Hall Farm — and especially our coordinator, Avery — did an amazing job of making the entire experience feel easy and low-stress.
Avery was wonderful to work with from start to finish. She was always quick to respond to our questions and calls, and on the wedding day itself, she did an incredible job keeping everything running smoothly. She always made sure we knew where we needed to be and what was happening next, which allowed us to relax and actually enjoy the day. She even helped us during our pre-ceremony photos and suggested areas of the farm where the flowers were looking especially beautiful that day. She was incredibly kind and attentive, and she set up all of the smaller decorations we had brought with us beautifully. She also helped move some of our decorations from cocktail hour into the reception hall, which was such a thoughtful detail and one less thing for us to worry about.
The rest of the staff on the wedding day were equally kind, helpful, and attentive. Everyone seemed to know what needed to happen and worked together seamlessly to keep the day moving. The team also coordinated very well with all of our vendors, including our DJ, photographer, florist, and caterer, Toscano’s, who regularly works with the farm. Having everyone work so well together made a huge difference and helped the day feel effortless from our perspective.
And, of course, the venue itself is beautiful. Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm was exactly what we were looking for: rustic, beautiful, and connected to the outdoors. We were able to have our ceremony outside at the end of August, which was incredibly special. From the Morning House on-site, to the ceremony lawn, to the Stone Barn and reception barn, every part of the property was beautiful and fit the atmosphere we had envisioned for our wedding.
We also loved that our guests could actually enjoy the farm throughout the day rather than being confined to one space. People could spend time outside on the lawn, play games, sit on the patio, and enjoy the scenery. Those were all things that were important to us when looking for a venue, and Locust Hall Farm gave us exactly that.
Overall, we had an absolutely wonderful experience at Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm. The beautiful setting was exactly what we wanted, but it was really the people who made the experience so special. The entire team was professional, responsive, kind, and genuinely helpful, and they made what could have been a stressful process feel incredibly manageable. We are extremely happy with our decision to get married here and would wholeheartedly recommend Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with an amazing team behind it.
