Joe was extremely professional and a pleasure to work with on our wedding day. He was very knowledgable about the correct lighting and poses to make for some incredible photos. He also made sure to take any specific photos we requested, and had no problem extending our session by an extra hour at the last minute. We also always received quick replies to any of our emails or questions.

Joe and Vickie were amazing to work with! From the very beginning I loved how affordable they were and they never pushed me to spend extra money. We even got an engagement shoot included when we booked for the wedding! Joe was awesome to work with for the engagement photos and on the day of the wedding. The communication beforehand was great, they answered all of my questions and we had a meeting before the wedding to go over the timeline so there was nothing to worry about the day of. Joe is extremely skilled and was able to work efficiently with our small window of time to take pictures during cocktail hour. We also had Teresa for half of the time and they worked so well together. They made us feel comfortable and it was clear to see their strong knowledge in photography. A really nice surprise was that we got all of our pictures back (about 2,000) only two weeks after the wedding date! They are all truly breathtaking and I am SO happy that I chose Joie Elie to work with, I highly recommend booking with them!

Remarkable, professional, high-quality photographers! We used their photography services for our wedding. We met with them twice before the event to go over the schedule, and they even sent us a questionnaire to clarify exactly what we wanted to have happen. Joe captured every moment of our outdoor intimate wedding. He made even a little backyard wedding beautiful and memorable. He processed all the pictures he took and sent us a USB of the day. We spent $1300 for a 6-hr day for a ceremony, reception, and bride-groom solo session without venue change. I believe their packages are remarkably competitive for the quality you recieve. You will not regret getting a photographer for such a special occasion, and Joie Elie captured the moment perfectly.

Our Wedding was this past Saturday. Joe went above and beyond to get creative and beautiful shots! We had an outdoor wedding and It rained on and off and his creativity incorporating the weather and the environment was unbelievable! His eye for detail and creativity is second to none! It was an absolute pleasure working with Vickie and Joe this past year for our engagement photoshoot and wedding day photography and cinematography! Joie Elie photographed both our engagement and wedding photos in September and did an amazing job! We chose to have only one photographer (Joe) and we still received roughly 2000 photos of our special day. His photo styling is very artistic and natural - he is a wizard with lighting! We also received our edits very quickly which was fantastic. We received a sampling of edits online within one week after the wedding and a flash drive of all 2000 edited photos within 4-5 weeks. I would definitely recommend him for your special day.

Joie Elie went above and beyond our expectations as our wedding photographer and cinematographer at Woodcliffe Lake Manor. Being that we requested only one of each, they were still able to capture every single important moment in our wedding! Joe and Vickie were amazing for our wedding. They have an amazing eye for composition and light and are able to direct bodies as needed. They snap posed and candid shots exquisitely, capturing the feel of our entire wedding party. Joe's intuition for weddings is unmatched. My husband and I left the wedding for a couple a minutes to step away from all the hustle and bustle, and he was able to sniff us out! It was honestly a blessing because he capture some amazing couple shots of us in the nighttime with a beautiful background. Wow! Joe, Vickie, and the rest of the Joie Elie team were incredible from beginning to end. Initial interactions were with Vickie for planning and booking, and she was always available via email, call, or text. We were able to figure out the whole day with her experience in addition to our own vision. On the day of, the entire team was so excited and involved, which made it easy to get through so much photography (and videography!). We did a same-day edit, which blew our expectations away. Our guests were similarly wowed by the work they did when we showed the video at the reception. It's crazy how much they can do in only a few hours of filming and editing! Both my wife and I had a great experience with the entire team; Joe was so funny and relaxed, making it simple for us and our bridal party to be just as relaxed and engaged with the work. I found Joie Elie Photography through my mother in law. I am very grateful for the recommendation as it is one of the best decisions for my wedding planning. They went with us on the trolley on the wedding day so we had a fabulous time traveling around the downtown philly for photo session on my wedding day. I am amazed when I receive thousands of photos in a USB drive 4 weeks after the wedding. I also saw my wedding movie trailer at the same time and we are so pleased. My sister used Joie Elie Photography for her wedding video service two years ago and she regretted not using their photography service. So she made sure that I signed up both at the same time and get my complimentary engagement photo shoot as well. From the engagement photo shoot, I am impressed already. We went to TCNJ where my husband and I first met and Joe took "tons" of great pictures there. It is really hard to choose what to go into the photo guest book. On the wedding day, they flew a drone to capture our beach side ceremony and all the guests were raving about how beautiful these shots are when Joie Elie put together a same day edit for us later at the reception. My sister is expecting and very close to her due date so she can only join us from ipad but Joe also got a shot of her during reception dancing from her home. I have no idea when and where Joe took those shots but he and his entire team did capture all the essence of the events and we feel that it is money well spent. Two thumbs up!

My sister-in -aw who used JoIe Elie Photography last year for her wedding and she gave me Vickie's contact. When I talked with Vickie over the phone, she is very friendly and knowledgeable and directing me to choose the best package for me immediately. My husband and I are both optometrists and we would like to work with the photographers that are creative and efficient since we don't have much time to plan for our wedding due to our busy work schedule. Both Joe and Vickie showed up early on my wedding day and start working immediately. Even things are running late here and there, they simply go with the flow and cool. Their entire team is very courteous and our family and guests feel so comfortable and we have so many wonderful pictures from the wedding. Their work speak for themselves! Throughout the event, I notice that Joe is very diligent in taking the photos and he carried three cameras with different lens and constantly lowering down so he won't block anyone's view. My older sister used Joie Elie Photography seven years ago and we had great experience with them. It is a no brainer to stick to someone we already know. When Joe and Vickie entered my room, our entire family felt so relaxed knowing what to expect and consider them as our family friends already. When working with Joe from Joie Elie Photography, I never need to pretend, pose or stage any of the shots. Their entire team is like ninja, very lowkey and able to capture all the important moments and true family reaction at the right timing. Again, I was being forewarned by my sister, there are too many good pictures after the wedding to select for the album. It did take me a while to decide what to go into the album. From the cover to inside layout, what they recommended is based on their professional judgement and they don't do any pressure sale at all. Joie Elie Photography is superb. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I found Joie Elie Photography through my best friend. Half of my wedding parties already used Joe as their photographer so it is an easy decision for me. Joe is very patient and creative. He calmed me down on my wedding day by letting me know what to expect. When I saw the sneak preview pictures after returning from my honeymoon, my husband and I are beyond ecstatic. Every one keeps raving about the pictures even my tough parents who are not easily pleased. I received my photo USB drive two weeks after the wedding and was given very clear direction as to how to select my pictures online to make an album. I receive my album last week, which is two month after the wedding, faster than all my friends who use other photographers instead. Joe and his associate photographer Matt are beyond amazing. Too many excellent photos after the wedding ad I have hard time narrowing them down. I receive my photos within 3 weeks after the wedding after I return from honeymoon. I cant wait to share with my family & friends immediately! Joe is very hands on and friendly. He not only takes great photos but also help the groomsmen pin their boutonniere nicely. Joe's work is very unique and they stand out immediately when I was doing my photographer's research and I knew he is the one I need for my wedding. This is hands down the best decision ever made. Wow!! Joie Elie blew us away with our same day edit, video and album. We were lucky to get married on the day of the blizzard of 2016 ! They booked a room the night before the wedding knowing the storm was fast approaching. A few days before the wedding they captured some great ariel video & photos with their drone knowing the pending storm would make that type of cinematography difficult on the day of. They had meticulously planned for the day and their team was strategically positioned to capture every moment, angle, perspective of the video. We still have guests complimenting us on the same day edit. We are constantly told how it was one of the best people have seen. They did an amazing job editing their video during our break between the wedding and reception to enable us to show the same day edit at the beginning of our reception before we walked out. The video for the overall day was put together in a 30 minute format which was just perfect. They really captured the memory of that day brilliantly. HIGHLY recommended.

Although my review is a bit late, I did not want to go without letting everyone know how pleased I am to have chosen Joie Elie as my wedding photographer! Making decisions for a wedding can be extremely stressful, especially when you cannot redo them if they don't come out the way you expect them to the day of. I looked at a ton of photographers online and read even more reviews, but when I came across Joie Elie, I knew I needed to schedule a meeting. Since day one, Vickie was such a pleasure to work with! She calmed all my fears, showed me lots of options and samples of work and I knew that the level of work, her and her team were able to create, was the level I wanted for my wedding. She walked me through every step and kept in touch frequently along the way. The day of the wedding Joe Kuan and the rest of the team arrived early and started working immediately. So many of my guests complimented me on my photographers because they were so professional and unobtrusive. Seriously! I usually don't pay attention to photographers at weddings I've been too, unless they are annoying and in the way! (Not Joie Elie!) They were also pretty cool! I chose both photography and cinematography and don't regret it for a second. I love everything about my photos and video! They are absolutely perfect! My wedding was back in April but just moved to Texas so this review is a little late. However, I did not want to miss the opportunity to praise the Joie Elie team for their cinematography. I’m not sure if many brides feel the same way but I was initially very nervous and dreaded booking the wedding videographer. I knew they are expensive and didn’t want the video to become one of those things that you watch once and never watch again. But once my mom showed me a video from Joie Elie, I knew that it was the kind of wedding film that I wanted. Working with Vickie was very easy and professional. Over the phone, she very sincerely told me that she wanted to make my wedding video beautiful. Vickie, Joe and their team did just that! First, we received the trailer just a couple days after the wedding and it beautifully captured the day in just 2.5 minutes – the amazing setting and timeless moments. My mother-in-law told me she watched the wedding trailer everyday after the wedding and she may still to this day! I loved my wedding day and the trailer and video captured it perfectly. I have no regrets about hiring the Joie Elie team and every dollar was well spent. They are cinematographers so made our wedding day into a movie that made me laugh and cry. I even later requested the raw footage and Vickie arranged to send it after I provided a hard drive for it. Originally, I was a hesitant bride about wedding videos but now a very happy one. Thank you Joie Elie!

Cannot speak highly enough about Joie Elie. We are absolutely amazed with our wedding photos and had a great experience working with them. They are professional and fun and they quickly blend into the background to capture the candid moments you only get one chance at. Each one is as clear as the next. We are completely blown away. We looked at many photographers (some much more expensive) and are VERY glad with our choice. Their use of light, adaptability, and framing is top of the line. We were married at Stonehouse at Stirling Ridge and decided to do a "first look" in a park about 15 minutes away that they had never been to before. Within two weeks of our suggesting it they had driven there on their own time to scope it out for us. Amazing. Did I mention we received our photos very quickly? Thank you Joie Elie!!!

Vickie and Joe were great to work with. They are both very pleasant and professional. Joie Elie was truly amazing. It brought back so many memories and feelings while watching it. It really plays like a movie. Pictures are like straight from magazines. There were also some really funny parts that they captured. Not to sound conceited, but it really is the best wedding film & pictures I’ve ever seen. I worked with Joie Elie for my wedding photography in New Jersey and had an amazing experience with them. They are very creative and effortlessly blend into your wedding day to capture stunning shots. Joe and Yunika were such a pleasure to work with and Joe's easy sense of humor made my wedding day all that more special. We had many little traditions and even without explaining them, Joe and Yunika captured every detail beautifully. Their use of lighting is especially noteworthy. Vickie, Joe and their team at Joie Elie are wonderful. I found Vickie very punctual and detail oriented before the ceremony -- she asked me for details on the venue and a list of persons for portraits before we even started. Joe arrived on time, and was very energetic taking photos for 5-6 hours during the reception. He caught a bunch of really wonderful detail shots that I hadn't even imaged could be taken! The best part of Joie Elie, however, is their service after the event. Lots of photographers can take good pictures, but oftentimes people wait months and months to get them, and even longer to produce an album. From soup to nuts, I was done with Joie Elie 6 weeks after the event. The quality of the photos and the album are unmatched. For 10 years now, Joie Elie has been the photographer at every family and family friend's wedding. They didn't disappoint at mine, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them again.

Turns out the venue was beautiful the day was wonderful. The pictures are amazing. Ours was a day time event. Pictures are good enough for a wedding magazine. Joie Elie Photography provide such good work. My husband and I had our engagement photos and wedding photos done by Joe and they came out amazing. Everyone was raving about them. When we started our search to find a great wedding photographer, we knew we really didn't want the typical portrait photos. We found Joie Elie on the Knot and knowing nothing about photography, we took a gamble and set up a meeting with Vickie Kuan. From the moment we walked into the office, we felt such a connection with her. She made us feel like a guest in her home, not just a client in need of service. She was overjoyed for us regarding our engagement and happy to fulfill any request. After some small talk, the room went silent and she allowed their work to speak for itself. We were blown away by the beautiful photos in the albums we saw and the world-class detail in every picture. We also had an opportunity to view clips from previous weddings. On Saturday morning, Yunika and Phillipe arrived early and to our great surprise, Vickie arrived a short while later. We booked 12 hours of photography and videography and are so grateful that we did. All night long, they worked tirelessly to capture every possible moment on film. We are really happy with the entire process of photo shooting and the results. Both my husband and I are not used to the photography experience and felt awkward in the beginning. The professionalism, patience, and sweet nature of Joe and Vickie were only exceeded by their photography. We had a 13 hour wedding that started with two looong & very different religious ceremonies followed by 7 of hours of partying that all commenced AFTER our morning family photo-shoot. They took the time to understand all that was meant to happen during this day and somehow seamlessly captured EVERY important moment without missing a beat. Their ability to tell a story in pictures is flawless and the videography was even better. Of all the vendors we used Joie Elie is one that we find ourselves recommending over and over again to anyone looking. Somehow they also managed to satisfy very hard to please and hyper-critical parents who were very skeptical that we did not go with 'Indian Wedding' photographers and they too find themselves now making referrals to j/e. Joie Elie photographed our wedding a few weeks ago at the Inn at Millrace Pond, and Joe and his crew did a truly amazing job! Joe and staff documented our day expertly and artistically. We have so many gorgeous pictures (nearly 1500) documenting all aspects of the day: from preparation to tiny details, family portraits to the last moments of the reception. We were particularly impressed with the candid photography; Joe and his crew seemed to always be in the right place at the right time without being intrusive, and there are pictures of absolutely everyone who was at the wedding. We were not asked to re-stage any moments from our wedding, which would have come off as fake in the photos. All of the pictures were taken in the moment as they happened (with the obvious exception of portraits). For example, any photos of me putting on my jewelry happened as I was actually putting on my jewelry, same with my make up and hair pictures. The cocktail hour and the reception were also fully captured in the photos, which was very important to us. Our lead photographer was Joe Kuan, one of the owners of the company, and he brought along another photographer as well as an assistant, who we were not expecting but which was a nice surprise. Having a second photographer was definitely worth the extra expense as we now have pictures of the ceremony and other key moments from many different angles, and the second photographer was able to cover more ground in photographing everyone and everything that was happening at our wedding. Joe really captured the essence of the Inn's rustic setting, finding the spaces that made our venue unique. After our first meeting with Joe, it was clear that photography is truly a passion for him, and his enthusiasm on our wedding day as well as the end product genuinely reflect the love and pride he has for his work. I would easily recommend Joie Elie to anyone who is looking to have their day uniquely and beautifully captured.

I chose Jolie Elie Photography early into my wedding planning. My bestfriend had them at their wedding a year ago and I knew I had to get them asap. Vickie & Joe Kuan are the best. I engaged them for my daughter's wedding in NJ and I am so glad that I did. They did both photos and videos over three days of celebrations at two different locations covering multiple events, and they did an amazing job of capturing all the important moments in a beautiful way. I am even more impressed that within 30 days of the wedding, I now have all the pictures (many thousands of them) and edited videos (many hours long) including a highlight video of 13 mins which is beautifully done with appropriate mix of background music & live sound. I searched through many, many, many photographers' photos for my October, 2012 wedding. Let me just say, searching on wedding photographers' websites can start to make every wedding look the same and leave a bride feeling that she is bound for a generic feel to her wedding - even though it should feel special and personable .
