Our daughter just got married and I am so very thankful that we had Barbara as our planner. My daughter's wedding was last weekend, and it was AMAZING due to the help from Joined by Love Wedding Planning. Barbara and her team made the planning of the wedding and the day of the event a magical day to remember for the rest of our lives. When my daughter first got engaged, I thought I could handle everything myself, keep it simple, etc. However, even with a simple wedding, there were too many moving pieces and parts, and without Barbara and her team, I would not have been able to enjoy my daughter's day. The team took care of all of the big and little details that I would not have thought to consider. They gave me cost saving tips that helped our budget. The little things that made a BIG difference...helping with napkins, rehearsing with the guys over and over until they "got it right," and making sure the bride and groom immediately had a drink and bite to eat as soon as the ceremony was over made us feel so cared for and special. Barbara knew the special family at the event and made sure the photographer captured unique moments. I have such and appreciation and gratitude for Barbara and her team and highly recommend them. My wife and I hired Barbara to take on the day-of-event coordination but she went above and beyond. She helped coach us in the months, weeks, and final days leading up to the big day and put our minds at ease that we were not forgetting something important. The number one advice I'd give anyone recently engaged - HIRE A COORDINATOR! and if they're in DFW? Hire Barbara!! I went into the wedding planning process terrified. I'm not very organized, I get easily overwhelmed, and I hate confrontation. Not to mention that we were planning a wedding in Dallas while living in Chicago. From our first meeting with Barbara, we knew we found the right coordinator. She was kind and friendly, but had a no-nonsense attitude. She walked us through our planning timeline, answered all my many questions, and was able to make us feel much more comfortable with the whole process. Any time we had an issue with a vendor, a last minute problem, anything at all - Barbara was able to handle it. Then the day of - Barbara and her assistant Patience had our event running smoothly all night. Barbara and Joined by Love Wedding planning is amazing and I couldn't have had the wedding of my dreams in April without her and her stellar team. I originally tackled wedding planning myself, thinking I could save money and put that budget elsewhere. As time went on I realized I could not do it all myself without losing my mind. Enter Barbara and que the angelic chorus! I initially reached out to her for Day-Of-Coordination, since I had made decent headway on my own and had most of my vendors booked. After taking me on as a client Barbara helped me figure out all the planning items I didn't even know I was missing. She is extremely on top of things and communicates well. She is to the point and knows what she is doing. Every planning meeting made me feel less frazzled and more in control, with a clear path forward. They even thwarted a potential issue without even batting an eye or letting us know there was a problem - we had a donut wall and the donut vendor cancelled on us while we were getting married at the church. Patience & Macarena were aware of our donut wall plans and went ahead and found another vendor on the spot to supply donuts when they realized the original donuts were not showing up and we were due to be at the reception venue soon. Joined by Love Wedding planning was amazing to work with and I would highly recommend them to any couple!

Barbara is professional and very knowledgeable with wedding planning. I chose her for her expertise and years of experience. The service I chose was the coordination package for $1,800, and I liked the support 6 months out. We had meetings monthly via Zoom. Barbara is communicative and honest with reception, design, and ceremony recommendations.

We booked Barbara for Month of Coordination and she began communicating with us and doing check ins far in advance from that. She would schedule time for us to hop on calls, answer any and all of our questions, updated us with the vendors and tasks she was working on, and overall remained very productive with our time together. She was always available to answer my questions and was very honest with us about her previous experience working at our venue. Despite previous challenges, she stepped up to the plate and discussed how she would approach our wedding to be as prepared as possible. She was so timely with everything and was very detail oriented when it came to all of our contracts, day of timeline, and communication with our vendors. The amount of work they both put into making our day the best for us is something we cannot thank her enough for. Even with working with a difficult venue coordinator and our officiant not showing up, she remained the utmost professional and problem solved so quickly. We booked Barbara roughly 15 months before our wedding day. She was the third vendor we booked behind the venue and photographer. From the beginning, I knew I wanted a wedding coordinator so that our families could truly enjoy our wedding day. From the first minute I started talking to Barbara I knew she would be my wedding coordinator. Barbara is organized, has great communication, is well-connected in DFW, and goes above and beyond to help her brides. Even though I booked Barbara for “Month of Coordination” she was there beside me as soon as I booked with her (15 months before wedding day). She helped me find amazing vendors, kept me calm through all the wedding stress and madness, provided guidance through my MILLION questions, and met with me several times in person and on the phone prior to our wedding day. I added two full-day assistants and a tear-down crew for the wedding day through Barbara. Our wedding day went flawlessly – Barbara took all the stress away and there were no glitches (at least that I knew about). I would HIGHLY recommend Barbara to any future bride. She will take care of you and treat you like family. My only regret is not getting a picture with Barbara on the wedding day.

Barbara Bernal, with Joined by Love, gave my daughter the most perfect wedding! From start to finish, she was with us every step of the way! We only had 5 months to plan this, and Barbara guided and always led us in the right direction! She started out by listening to our ideas and vision for my daughter’s moody fairytale wedding, and then she helped to create for us what that day would look like. She came up with suggestions that complimented the theme. One idea she had was for a horse and carriage, which ended up being one of the most special and memorable parts of the wedding! Barbara vetted and sent us all the vendors, and there were many. This was so important, because it would have been very time consuming had we done this. She spent hours upon hours finding the best vendors for us in a short period of time. All the vendors she found for us were amazing! For example, the florist designed the most beautifully themed flowers, and the caterer was excellent! Guests said it was the best wedding food they ever had! She kept updated timelines for all the vendors, including when signatures were needed and when money was owed. She made it so easy! Barbara was a joy to work with! She was thorough, detail oriented, upbeat and supportive! She called every week to keep us up to date on everything, answer questions, make any changes, and basically keep everyone and everything moving along. She also emailed us several times a week, and she was fast with getting back with any questions or concerns. She was always there for us, and there didn’t seem to be anything she couldn’t handle. On the wedding day, we arrived at the venue at 10:00 that morning, and Barbara and her staff were already setting up. She directed all the vendors, and Barbara and her staff worked so hard the whole day! Only an experienced, dedicated and passionate wedding planner could have so effortlessly put this together and then flawlessly executed this once in a lifetime event! She designed the most beautiful outdoor cocktail and sitting areas, because she knew that was important to me! The sofas, chairs, tables, rugs, tablecloths, flowers and plants all came together so beautifully in such an elegant yet eclectic way! The inside reception area looked like something out of a magazine! The flowers and table settings were absolutely stunning the way it all came together!! She designed the layout of the inside and outside areas! We had a dj, cocktail tent, inside dinner, an artist, a hot air balloon, 2 dessert tables, after hour food, and more. Barbara designed the perfect timeline for the wedding, reception and the activities. Everything went smoothly, and nothing overpowered or interfered with the other. Nothing went wrong, and if it did, Barbara handled everything! The guests all had a wonderful time, and everyone raved about the food and activities. Barbara and her devoted staff spent the day tending to every detail small and large. She was so in control of everything, and the wedding was as perfect as it could be! My daughter and her husband said it was the most beautiful and perfect wedding they could have had! My husband and I thought the same way, and all the guests we talked to enjoyed themselves immensely! Barbara was worth every penny and way more! There’s no way we could have done this without her! She gave my daughter and her husband the most special, lovely and memorable day! Thank you Barbara and staff!! 🥂

Barbara and Macarena are worth their weight in gold! Their help in planning and running our wedding was invaluable. Their recommendations, networking, and wedding industry knowledge saved us so much time, effort, and money; we already had some vendors picked out when we contacted them, and their alternate referrals saved us more than we paid for their services. Knowledge and experience in this industry is everything, and these folks know their stuff. We felt that Barbara and Macarena really cared about our wedding as much as we did. It was obvious their first interest was to make sure everything was perfect for our big day, and their commitment and professionalism spoke to that. Barbara, even though she wasn't the main planner day-of, even stopped by on her off time to see how things were going. That's dedication. Their communication is top-notch. We never had to chase them down, they were always proactive in setting up calls and meetings. They stayed on top of every vendor, and were instrumental in the day-of coordination. Without Macarena to wrangle everything at the rehearsal and the big day, our hair would have been grey by the end of the weekend. But thanks to her, all we had to worry about was repeating the vows correctly. Even now, after the event, they're following up with photographers to make sure we get our photos and handling any loose ends with vendors. We can't recommend these folks highly enough. I had planned and booked most of my vendors but she made sure everything was correct and helped me with the little details I missed. She helped me book my last vendors such as linens, DJ, and cake. When I emailed her for any questions she responded immediately. Even if she was unsure she would email me telling me she would get back to me. We talked on zoom multiple times to catch up and see what the next steps were. On the day of the wedding she was on top of it! She made sure everyone was where they needed to be and helped guide us throughout the night. If it wasn't for her I would've been stressed, but I never felt more relaxed and ready to take on the day. BOOK HER! I promise you will no be disappointed! Thank you Barbara for making our special day unforgettable!

Barbara was hired by my venue to help coordinate our wedding day. Our wedding day had been postponed twice due to covid and during that time, we had 4 venue manager changes and a DJ change. We weren't sure what to expect but Barbara was always there to answer our question and tie up the lose ends between timeline and vendor communication. The wedding day was a huge hit with Barbara. She chased folks down and made sure everybody was on the same page! Guests would ask us questions or make suggestions and we were so comfortable with Barbara, we told them she's got this - it's her wedding (for coordination) and they backed off. Because of Barbara, I didn't have people coming to me asking for direction or giving me ideas - Barbara was the buffer. Being able to have somebody pull everything together so you can enjoy your day is 100% the way to go! When I had conflicting ideas with a vendor- Barbara was there to make sure we executed to expectations. Barbara also went above and beyond! My bustle broke and she was in the bathroom with safety pins doing everything she could to get it pinned back up! My daughter wanted to wear a costume and she helped coordinate the entrance so my daughter was comfortable to dance! She made sure my vendors were fed so that I meant my contractual agreements and so the vendors didn't miss coverage of any wedding activity. Nothing ever felt rushed or lagging -having Barbara run the wedding was amazing. My wedding party all loved being able to kick back and enjoy the party!

Barbara is the best of the best, she went above and beyond to make sure my wedding was perfect. I recommend her services most definitely, she is very good at what she does!!!

If you are on the fence about hiring a wedding planner like I was - just trust me, you need Barbara! Ever since our first time talking, she always made sure to ask how I was feeling about everything and make sure I wasn’t feeling too stressed and was simply excited for the big day. Then on our wedding day, she had such a calm and supportive presence. We had the weather totally change our outdoor ceremony plans but Barbara handled it flawlessly, including transforming our reception space into a ceremony space and then BACK into a reception space before I could even process everything! In fact, as soon I called her that week about the weather forecast, she already had a plan in place. Hiring her was for sure the best choice I made in planning my wedding!

Barbara made our wedding day seem so perfect! I know now of the few inevitable things that “went wrong” but the day of had NO idea. She was so amazing through our entire process and kept my stress low. I can’t look back and imagine our wedding day without her. SO many people complimented us on our wedding and coordinator and she was amazing with vendors.

Words can not express how efficient, professional and flexible Barbara was as our Day of Wedding Coordinator. She kept me stress-free, managed the chaos gracefully and was cool calm and collected my entire event. I would recommend her services to any and everyone who needs a planner/coordinator. Barbara was a life saver from start to finish! We were trying to plan our wedding within two months of becoming engaged and she made it the easiest time. We were able to enjoy our engagement time and not be overwhelmed with wedding plans. She talked me through my down moments and celebrated with our victories. Ms. Barbara was an absolute jewel to work with. I reside in a different State than where our wedding was being held in Texas, and she handled every aspect of one of the biggest days of my life without skipping a beat. Her communication and dedication was refreshing as planning and implementing a wedding is such a stressful event. I had zero worries and totally gave her full control, because her personality and work ethic allowed me to. Our big day was magical, if there were any issues she handled it like a boss and we were never aware! Our Bridal party was appreciative of her hands on approach and it just changed the anxiety mood that anyone had. She was always in communication with our vendors, always in communication with my Husband and I and she genuinely was and is passionate about being apart of couples new beginnings. After our wedding day she has still been in contact with us on several occasions to go over the day of events, any concerns we had, any issues with vendors that needing any resolutions and following up with any thing that we needed after the fact I strongly recommend having a planner like Ms Barbara that takes away any anxiety and allows you just to "be". As Brides we have so much stress and anxiety leading up, it would be ashamed to not enjoy "our day" Prayers for a successful future to Ms. Barbara and all of her future endeavors.

Barbara is amazing. Punctual, organized, part planner, part counselor, part friend. Barbara goes above and beyond. Handles the relationship between bride and Mom with patience and compassion. She is the brides best friend. Couldn't have done it without you.

Barbara was so great to work with! Planning a wedding during Covid was so stressful and she seriously helped me keep my sanity! She did all the things you expect from a coordinator very professionally and efficiently, but what I loved about working with her is that through it all she always reminded us that the most important thing is that we are marrying the love of our life and will be spending the rest of our lives with our person. Made navigating all the hiccups so much better.

We are SO grateful for Barbara! She was our wedding coordinator and was extremely thorough, professional, and knowledgeable! She read through every vendor contract and ensured all parts of the contract were fulfilled by the vendors as well as ourselves. She contacted all vendors to schedule arrival times for the day-of and created a detailed timeline of our day. She made several suggestions for things to include in our day and planned everything to the minute. We had a few difficult vendors but she was still able to coordinate with them through persistence, which took a huge stressor off our plates. Barbara handled everything on the day of our wedding including helping with decorating in the morning, directing vendors, checking on the bride and groom periodically, managing the timeline, cutting our cake, cleaning up at the end of the night, and doing the final walk-through with our venue. Barbara also followed up with our vendors after the wedding including ones that did not fulfill all parts of their contracts. We cannot recommend Barbara highly enough.

I’ve hired Joined by Love for my wedding coordination and they have seriously gone so above and beyond! Barbara has spent time reviewing every single contract I have with vendors and contacting them all individually to ensure everything I need for my wedding day is fully and completely covered. She has also helped me find vendors and get pricing for the services that I still need to book - everything from food, hair, makeup, photography, flowers, and hotels! She is helping me organize and collect the decorations, centerpieces, music, and details to execute my dream wedding day vision! She keeps me organized and on track with all of the wedding planning we need to do so that I don't need to worry about that myself, and she is always willing to take on extra planning activities. When I am too busy at my job during business hours she takes on calling my vendors and prospective vendors to ask them the questions that I need answers to. Barbara is dependable, reliable, and an expert advice giver in the field! She is so easy to communicate with and coordinate with too which makes everything so smooth. Joined by Love has made my wedding SO EASY and I am SO HAPPY that I have them helping me!!! I seriously would not be able to do it without their awesome assistance! Additionally, after planning all of this with the help of Joined by Love, I had to reschedule my wedding due to the COVID pandemic. Barbara handled everything for me, which took a huge weight off of my plate. She contacted and rescheduled all of my vendors. She handled the difficult conversations and rearranged my payment plans for me. The biggest impact to me though was that she gave me encouragement and wisdom when I was feeling overwhelmed and upset by everything. Barbara truly cares for her brides and will be there for them.
