I contacted Ray Gonzalez and hired him to DJ at our wedding on May 14th, 2016 the deposit was paid and the date was reserved. In February we decided to cancel the services and Mr Gonzalez informed me of the steps that I needed to take in order... to receive my deposit back. Well guess what, I did everything Mr Gonzalez needed us to do (certified, notarized letter requesting cancellation) and it has been 3 week and I still have not received my deposit back. I spoke to him the week after he received the letter and he said that the check had been mailed and if I didn’t receive it by Wednesday that week that he would overnight a check well this week it would be a month and nothing. I received the signed notification from the post office when they picked up my letter but no deposit has been returned. People that incur in this kind of practice just don’t have the money or keep the capital that they need to back up these situations that I’m pretty sure happen all the time.
