Friends, if you're looking for the best wedding dress tailor in the Philly area, Jolanta is your woman! She is honestly a miracle worker.
I bought my wedding dress at a different ...
local store and was told that my dress couldn't come in extra length (I'm 6'0) but that was okay because it was naturally long. The sample was pooling at my feet, so I didn't question it. However, I was shocked when it arrived about 2-3 inches too short. It also was too tight, despite me not having gained any weight, in addition to the other alterations that we had expected to make.
Luckily, I knew Jolanta's work from when she did my sister's wedding dress and called her in a panic. She told me that it would be an easy fix as long as I ordered extra lace from the dress designer. Jolanta added more lace to the hem, panels to both the lace and fabric under the lace, raised the neckline, and shortened my veil, in addition to probably many other alterations that I didn't even notice. You would never have known that my dress had been such a mess before Jolanta fixed it, and I was comfortable wearing it the entire night. I got so many compliments on my dress and it's all because of Jolanta!
Jolanta's attention to detail is remarkable, and she is truly an artist with how she's able to restructure and recreate dresses. She is a perfectionist, so be prepared to have a few appointments, but it's always worth it. I seriously cannot recommend her enough!
I have nothing but amazing things to say! Jolanta and her team made my wedding dress a dream come true with their alterations. The bustle was easy to hook up, they made my top more...
flattering to my body, and added off the shoulder sleeves at my request that helped me look and feel like a princess. The pricing is amazing for the quality of services they provide.
Absolutely stunning work, looked amazing, felt amazing, and it was as painless as possible to get the dress made from scratch with Jolanta and her team's help. Couldn't have asked ...
for anything better!
Ruined my wedding dress, and I didn't realize it until the morning of my wedding when it was too late. It had fit perfectly before - all i needed was the bottom hemmed. With every ...
new fitting I was charged more money for things it supposedly needed, and after the second fitting she loosened the back and let out the top two inches of the zipper in back, which made it noticeably bigger. I hadn't asked for this - she did it without my permission. It looked okay by my last fitting but i did feel that it was looser - when I asked why it wasn't fitting as tightly she said she had thought it was a little too tight and "released the zipper" - I didn't even know what that meant. Plus I was charged more money for something I hadn't even asked for.
The morning of my wedding, I put it on and realized it was just not as tight to hold me up. Within the first 20 min of wearing it, it got looser and looser. The top had beading which made it heavy, so it should've been left tight to hold me up - it had been perfect! As the day progresses, it just felt way too big. It didn't fit anywhere close to how it was before, and I just had to deal with it. I get upset every time I see photos - this was the most incredible dress, and I can't even believe this happened. Still the happiest day of my life, but the photos are embarrassing because the top of my dress was noticeably too loose and it went from being an extremely flattering, form fitting dress to gapping and looking like it was hanging off of me.
Jolanta is truly amazing! I purchased a sample dress that was a size 12 with MANY layers of tulle and lace on the bodice. I'm about a size 6-8 in wedding dresses and she was able ...
to take the dress in for a perfect fit. I was literally in shock at how amazing it was! She also created a fairly simple bustle for a very complicated dress. My sister really appreciated that when it came time to start the reception!
Rather than trust the store where my daughter purchased her wedding gown to alter it, we decided to use a professional who both designs and tailors gowns--Jolanta proved to us that...
you really need to know how a gown is constructed in order to tailor it! We couldn't be happier with her custom tailoring of my daughter's wedding gown and frankly, in the future, are considering having her custom design a few things for us. Such a lovely woman, so skilled, so easy to work with and well-priced!
