Jolie and Amanda and their team did the hair and makeup for me and all 7 bridesmaids for my wedding day in June. Firstly, they are so easy to talk to and listen to exactly what you want! I knew right away from my trial that they were very personable and reliable. They finished all of our services on time on the wedding day, and they fulfilled everyone's specific wishes. Our hair stayed put all day (7am-10:30pm) and the makeup looked fantastic from application to the end of the night. Amanda even stayed to help me secure my veil in my hair as it was very long and heavy, and I had no issues with it. It even came out smoothly when it came time for the reception. I would recommend them to all of my friends who are getting married!

Jolie and Amanda did hair and makeup for my wedding in May 2023. They did absolutely amazing and everyone looked perfect! They were incredibly sweet and made sure everyone got exactly what they envisioned. We had a tight timeline we needed to stick to and they had everyone done up and looking perfect in time for photos! My bridal trial went fantastic and it somehow looked even better on my wedding day. My hair stayed in place the whole day and my face looked airbrushed after the makeup Jolie did! She made sure to highlight my natural features and everything turned out fantastic. I highly recommend Jolie for any makeup needs and Amanda for hair!

Jolie did good job on my wedding day. Everyone loved my makeup. Jolie is very friendly and flexible. She is easy to work with. She traveled to my place. She did my engagement session as well. I requested her to come early at 4:00 am on my wedding. She was on time and completed for all of us (bride, bridesmaid and moms) before the time was requested. I recommend her as your makeup stylist. Jolene and Amanda did my hair and makeup for myself, my two bridesmaids and the mob and mog . They were fabulous!!! When I went in for my trial, they were very easy to talk to and I knew their vibe was what I wanted to start off my wedding day with, and they did not let me down! Amanda worked quickly and knew exactly what to do with each hair type that was sat before her. She was able to recreate the same style from my trial with ease, and made it even better!! I never felt like my hair would fall or that I even had bobby-pins in the whole day!! Jolene was great for makeup!!! She worked through each person’s different skin types and complexion and created individual master pieces!! I’m so glad that she suggested a certain start time, we were not rushed we were just enjoying the day and getting ready together. These two are great personalities to help start the day off right. They definitely helped keep me calm and I almost started crying when I got my hair done because everything was just coming together as I had planned in my mind and I was just so happy!!! Book them and your day will start off great!

Jolie is amazing! She is super nice on top of it. She did makeup for my mom, stepmom, and me on the day of my party. Due to COVID, we ended up getting married on our original date and then postponing the party for a year. She was very flexible and pleasant to work with. She did not charge me to reschedule, which was very reassuring. The day of the party, she even drove to the house to do everyone’s makeup, which helped simplify my day. Everyone was very pleased with their makeup and got lots of compliments on it. The makeup lasted all day and night and looked beautiful! Thanks, Jolie!

Jolie was fantastic! She arrived early and was very considerate to each of my ladies, asking what kind of skin type we had and waiting to put on lipstick until after we had lunch, lol. She was so professional, took my suggestions seriously and she also was nice to my dog too. She did my trial and wedding, was not disappointed, especially when I found out she was a Disney fan too!

Jolie made me look beautiful, no question! She was easy to work with, heard out my ideas and offered suggestions, and was so flexible in scheduling trials since I was coming in from out of town. The morning of was stress-free because Jolie was there exactly when she said she would be, was super pleasant and made everyone look great. We had folks with very different skin tones and different needs, and Jolie made them all look their best!

Jolie did such an incredible job on my wedding day make up. My makeup lasted all day, even after wearing a mask! She was so friendly and a great communicator leading up to the day. I highly recommend!

Jolie is exactly the type of person you want to be around on your big day. From the moment I first met her, on my trial run day, my mom and I loved her instantly. She nailed my look and was happy to tweak anything I didn’t like (hardly no tweaks.. she’s that good!). All of my bridesmaids, my mom and mother-in-law alsoLOVED their makeup which is so important! Her work is incredible, she’s professional, punctual, but more importantly, she’s such a joy to be around! She’s sweet and fun and exactly what you need on such a big day. Jolie was simply wonderful! I am not someone who wears a lot of make up, but wanted to look amazing for my wedding day. She was able to make me look naturally beautiful! I felt gorgeous all day. She is also a delight to work with. Listened to my concerns and talked through everything with me. Very responsive and so, so sweet! She did my entire wedding party which was a variety of skin tones and for most of us was our first time getting our make up done. We were all happy with our make up! It was also a very hot and humid day and our make up stayed on 10+ hours. I can't express how nice it was to feel so pretty!

Jolie was such a great choice for a MUA. She always had a smile and was very friendly to work with. She was very responsive to my questions and I was impressed by the variety of of shades, tools and her skills. She also did my engagement trial makeup and was the MUA for my bridal party as well. Jolie made me feel like a princess on my wedding day. She was very professional and NEVER made me feel bad for wanting to change things, or try something different even if I ended up choosing what she had originally thought of!! I had countless compliments on my make up along with my bridal party! She was very patient, as I had multiple people who decided the day of that they wanted their make up done, after seeing how beautiful everyone else's had turned out! Oh, my goodness. No amount of stars would be enough to convey how wonderful and talented Jolie is. She came to my house for the bridal makeup trial and very carefully listened to my skin concerns, product preferences, etc. I wanted some drama for my wedding day, but I also wanted to feel like myself. Jolie was perfectly able to marry (pardon my pun) those two things. I could not have been happier with my look. The day of, Jolie was open to adjusting what we had decided on at the trial (wispier lashes, more gold and copper tones in lieu of matte grays and browns). What I'm saying is, she's flexible. She's also super knowledgeable and capable, and comfortable with makeup for any range of ages. She did makeup for me, my bridesmaids, my mother, and mother-in-law, and just a little bit of eyeshadow and gloss at the flower girl's request. Everyone looked PHENOMENAL. Jolie, I can't say thank you enough. You're great at what you do, and you're also just an awesome, fun person that made the entire experience so easy and enjoyable. Now, I just need another excuse to get my makeup done.

I thought Jolie did a great job! She was wonderful to work with and very efficient on the day off so there was never any stress. All of my bridesmaids were very happy and I absolutely loved my make-up. It was beautiful but natural so I felt like the best version of myself at my wedding.

Absolutely thrilled with Jolie's work. All of us had different visions and she executed each one to perfection and managed to make us all look cohesive! We had several different ethnicities in the wedding as well and it was so nice having a make up artist who understood working with different skin types and bone structures.

Jolie was awesome! She was so fun during my trial and was able to make me look glam but still like myself! She also had excellent recommendations for lip color and I wear my wedding lip pretty regularly now (haha - it's MAC's Plumful). She did a wonderful job on everyone the day of - from my husband's grandma, both our moms, to multiple bridesmaids with very different makeup styles. Everyone felt beautiful. Thank you, Jolie!

Jolie is AMAZING!!! She did my make-up for my sister's wedding in April 2017 and when I began planning my wedding Jolie was the was one of the first vendors I booked after we secured our date!! I used my trial session for the day of our engagment pictures and I'm so happy I did. I wear make-up on a daily basis and like to emphasize my eyes and naturally long lashes, so I wanted to make sure my eyes really popped and Jolie made it happen! She used single lashes during the engagement session to help fill in and enhance my own lashes. I loved it so much I didn't want to take them off and didn't until the next day! I also have some red spots that Jolie was able to cover up and it lasted all day!! On the wedding day we started at 6:30am and my make-up lasted well into the next day!! We did a subtle smokey eye and went with the full lashes to make my eyes pop even more and I LOVED IT!!!! It was still natural looking and lasted through happy tears before and during the ceremony, several hours outside in the cold in January for outside pictures, hugs from guests, and sweating on the dance floor. All of make-up lasted the full day and I kept my lashes on until late the next night because they still looked so good I didn't want to take them off!! I will definitely call Jolie again and recommend her to EVERYONE!!! You won't be disappointed!!

Jolie Artistry is the best in the KC Metro. She is unique in that she makes you feel your best but also still yourself. I see so many brides who look stunning but with such a different makeup style that they do not even look like themselves. Jolie is absolutely amazing. I don't wear a lot of make -up usually and she made my makae up beautiful and natural just as I asked her to do for my wedding day. Also, she worked with me when some of my bridesmaids and family members decided to do their make up last minute; there were 13 total getting make up and her and her assistant got us all ready in time and everyone looked flawless. She is super sweet and so easy to work with. I will always recommend using her for anyone who needs a make up artist for their big day!!

They accommodated a variety of requests from my bridal party, and not only made everyone look gorgeous but also feel great. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Jolie did an amazing job! She's one of those persons that will make you feel so comfortable and does a great makeup. I had make up at 9am since I had pictures first, I finished at 11pm and my make up was still there, it lasted even tho I cried at father daughter dance.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Jolie for my wedding. As a woman of color, it can be difficult to find someone who has experience working with darker skin tones—and I've had more than a few share of horror stories to attest to that. Jolie immediately put me at ease with her skill and overall loveliness during our trial session in her home. I felt incredibly beautiful, but also, most importantly to me, natural. (I didn't want to look at my wedding pictures and think, "Who is she?!") Jolie knocked it out of the park on the day of as well. She was at the venue right when I needed her there, did amazing work for my maid of honor, too, and readily took my notes on how I wanted to change the makeup from the trial experience. She was the easiest vendor I had to work with on what was a pretty chaotic but overall amazing day, and for that, I can't thank her enough. Would recommend her to any KC-area bride needing a fun, friendly, and capable makeup artist for her big day.

Jolie did an absolutely amazing job on my makeup for my wedding, in addition to my bridesmaids and my mother. When I went for my trial, I really did not have any idea of what I wanted, and Jolie did a great job of picking colors that went great with our wedding colors, and enhanced my features. She was so great to work with!! And even though our wedding was on one of the hottest days in July, all of our makeup looked flawless through the entire day and evening. I'd absolutely recommend her as she does beautiful work and is a pleasure to work with!!

Jolie did a wonderful job on my makeup and my bridesmaid’s makeup! I was planning my wedding from out of town (I’m from KC originally), and she was very responsive via email and phone. She helped me plan how long we would need to do everyone’s makeup, which factored into our timeline for the day-of the wedding. I came in town for a weekend, and we did a trial run. I had a few ideas from Pinterest, and she also had some great suggestions, and it turned out exactly how I wanted. Per Jolie’s suggestion, I’ve also found my new favorite everyday mascara! On the day of my wedding, Jolie went onsite and she did my makeup just as we’d practiced, and she also did a great job on my bridesmaid’s and my mom’s and aunt’s makeup. I would highly recommend Jolie and Amanda Pogue, the hair stylist she often works with.

I had a lot of makeup trials before I found Jolie. I really struggled to find someone that made me feel like an enhanced version of myself instead of someone different entirely. I was about to decide to do my own makeup before a friend recommended Jolie, and I am so glad I found her. She generously squeezed me in for a last minute trial, and afterwards I felt so confident that I would look beautiful on my wedding day. Jolie is so talented, professional and sweet. All my bridesmaids looked great, and I felt beautiful all day long. Everyone's makeup looked awesome in pictures as well. I would highly recommend Jolie.

She drove to where I was staying so that made setting up the trial very convenient. After the trial, I was a little concerned that my makeup wouldn't last throughout the wedding day but Jolie assured me that it would and she was right! My makeup did not budge - not even through a few of my crying sessions. I did not have to worry about reapplying because it was flawless, even after our first look. I was impressed! On my wedding day, Jolie was professional and very efficient. She came to our wedding venue and also did my mom's makeup and my maid of honor's makeup. I asked to use my own primer and foundation because they're products that I really love and she was completely open to the idea. Overall, I felt like my wedding makeup looked natural and not caked on. I also feel like I still looked like myself, despite the extra makeup. Jolie did a fabulous job and I'm so glad I hired her for my wedding day.

I booked her back in the spring, and a month after paying the deposit and signing the contract,she contacted me and cancelled. Then today she sent me an email asking when I wanted to book my hair and makeup trial. She is clearly an unorganized person. Thank goodness she cancelled, as I now have a professional for my hair/makeup!!

As a bride who typically doesn't wear too much makeup, this component of the wedding day was a little bit intimidating until I met Jolie! She came over to my house to do a makeup trial for both me and my mom about four weeks prior. Jolie worked with us to find the exact look that we had in mind for the big day and was so fun to chat with while doing so! Fast forward to the wedding day. Now, not only did she do an absolutely awesome job with my mom's and my makeup that day, but Jolie and her team did an absolutely awesome job on the 13 other girls there (and were efficient too)! Each one of the 13 girls sang her praises. Jolie was so easy to work with, very fun, and is great at what she does. I wish she could do my makeup every day :)

Jolie is awesome! I booked Jolie for my wedding and I'm so glad I did. I also had a trial before my big day and I highly recommend you do that. I'm pretty picky about my makeup and Jolie really worked with me. She made me feel good about contributing my opinion and what I wanted, and even things I wanted done differently. Her true objective is to make you happy and make you look your best. Oh and by the way, my makeup was the bomb and it lasted all day! And I do mean all day. I had a morning wedding, so she applied the makeup around 7am and it lasted well until 10pm when I was going to bed on my honeymoon night. I would highly recommend you book Jolie!!

Jolie was amazing! She listened to my likes and dislikes, and created the perfect rehearsal dinner and wedding looks for me (she was flexible and we did my trial for the rehearsal dinner). Even more than her amazing skills, she is such a wonderful person and fun to have around while you are getting ready. She is very relaxed and accommodating--a perfect no-stress makeup artist. Also, her hair stylist created an updo even better than I could have imagined! They were a great team, and I highly recommend them. They were prompt, professional, and very reasonably priced compared to some of the other people I have looked at online in the area.

Stop scrolling and book Jolie immediately. She did Obamas make up! She is the absolute best make up artist in KC, hands down. The only downside is she doesn't do hair but it is so worth it to book two separate vendors to have her do make up. The make up lasted all day. I let her do whatever she wanted and it was the way to go. I loved her so much I asked her to do my make up for my rehearsal dinner last minute. So worth it. 10/10. Book her now.

Jolie is great! She came to my house for the trial, and worked with my to accomplish the look I wanted. She brought an assistant the day of the wedding to keep all of the ladies moving and keep us on schedule. I recommend her!

Jolie provided the makeup for my engagement pictures and wedding day & I couldn't be happier with her services. She was extremely responsive when making plans for both days and was flexible & understanding when the count of girls wanting services changed. Jolie is absolutely incredible! She did my make up as well as three of my bridesmaids and everyone looked perfect! Jolie made me feel like myself just kicked up a notch! I didn't want to look like I had a ton of make up on since I usually don't wear that much and Jolie stuck to that! The make up she uses is high quality and stays all night long...through tears and laughter!!! Jolie was such a pleasure to work with! She is very professional and talented. I originally did not have a vision of how I wanted my make up to be on my wedding day and after sharing with her some ideas she made it happen! I looked exactly like I wanted on the big day and she even made time to fit in a couple extra family members and have us all done up before the ceremony. Jolie did a makeup trial for myself (the bride) and my maid of honor. The trial was great, she worked with us both to get the looks we wanted, and took notes. I hired her on the spot. On my wedding day, she arrived early and was very professional. She did excellent makeup for both myself and the maid of honor. She worked with us to tweak the makeup and get it perfect. It lasted all day and night! I can't say enough good things about Jolie Artistry!

Amazing! I have never had my make-up look so beautiful. One thing I really wanted for my engagement pictures was to look natural -- an enhanced version of myself. I have struggled with other make-up artists who made me look too made up. Jolie took the time to understand my desired look and delivered it perfectly. I would recommend her to anyone!

Jolie did amazing work for me and my five bridesmaids for my wedding in April. We had very differing styles from natural to very done up, and she adjusted to each of our preferences easily. Professional, on time, very sweet, and SO talented. I was impressed by the quality products she used and am happy to report that my makeup stayed flawless all day. Worth every penny. We had an amazing experience with Jolie Artistry. From start to finish, she was easy to work with and so genuine. I had her do my make up and 4 of my bridesmaids makeup. We all looked stunning!
