Oh. My. God. My then-fiancé and I saw Jonathan a year prior at my best friends wedding and were so beyond impressed we knew we had to have him perform at our own wedding. Truly! My fiancé, when he first heard him playing, thought he was listening to a very very crisp professional recording and not a live performer. I can not overstate how good Jonathan is at singing and performing. Just wow, he will be famous one day. As a performer at a wedding though, I believe it takes more than just talent to make the day perfect, and Jonathan carried the entire wedding flawlessly as both the entertainment and the MC of the evening, learning live renditions of our chosen songs for our ceremony, entertaining our guests with his AMAZING combination of r&b, rap, pop, country, and everything in between during cocktail hour and reception. As a bride who did all of my vendor sourcing and communication myself, I have to say Johnathan and his team were the easiest to work with. He was very organized in planning for all of our music needs at our wedding and was helpful in suggesting the best timing for live vs recorded music. I felt confident in his team's prompt and clear communication throughout the preparation process. On the wedding day, he showed up early, had equipment prepared and set up for our ceremony, cocktail and reception spaces. He learned and performed my favorite song for my walk down the aisle which was a very emotional and special touch for myself and my husband. Everyone also loved his live set during dinner and he kept the dance floor rocking into the evening with his DJ set. He even graciously MCed the shoe game for us during the reception...it was a hit! Highly recommend!!!!!

Jonathan just preformed, DJ’d, and MC’d my husband Ryan and my wedding a few weeks ago and man oh man, is he just the best. Jonathan was the first vendor we booked and it felt instantly easy and effortless to choose him. He was so kind and easy to chat with on our initial call meeting him and after listening to his music we knew how lucky we were to have found him. Jonathan played beautiful live guitar for our ceremony and absolutely provided such a joyful and romantic setting for the ceremony. He had us make a playlist of music we were excited about for the DJ portion for dancing and then took that playlist and used it to give us such a fun dance floor! Everyone has told us how amazing he was. Where he really gets to shine is his live performance during the dinner hour. Jonathan is so talented and had people dancing and ready for party before they had been to the buffet. I think every single person has remarked on his acoustic performance of “yeah” by usher and said it was incredible. He is someone who thinks of every detail, all the small things like adjust the mic height for the different people for speeches and giving special shout outs to grandparents. He moves people through the night as an MC so seamlessly and effortlessly and sets an amazing tone. He is the absolute best. Thank you Jonathan, we adore you!

Jonathan was a pleasure to work with. He has an infectious positivity and brings a whole lot of joy to the musical aspect of the wedding. He played the guitar and sang a special song as my wife walked down the aisle, he knocked it out of the park. At the reception he did an amazing job as a DJ and MC. He even remixed and sang some throwbacks that got the party going. We cannot recommend Jonathan highly enough.

My husband and I had the absolute honor of having Jonathan play at our wedding. He started by playing acoustic guitar and singing as our wedding party and I walked down the aisle and he was absolutely incredible and sounded better than any recorded versions of those songs. He then played and sang during the dinner portion, making this usually boring part of weddings soooo fun and entertaining! He sang our first dance song more beautifully than I could have imagined! He then DJ’d during the dancing portion and absolutely CRUSHED. Our dance floor was packed the entire time, I couldn’t even find a time to use the bathroom because he was playing bop after bop and no one wanted to leave! We hired Jonathan for our wedding last month and he was a huge highlight of the day! He sang before the ceremony, during the ceremony and during the dinner hour. He learned the song I was walking down the aisle too, which he did perfectly! Everything was so amazing, but I have to say that the dinner hour was AMAZING. Is there a way to give ten stars? As a professional in the event industry for over thirteen years, planning my wedding was no easy feat. Surprisingly, I had not made many entertainment connections, so I asked another friend in the industry for a recommendation, and they immediately mentioned Jonathan. I trusted this "friendor" of mine, so I did not think twice before I reached out to confirm his availability. From the initial contact, Jonathan was attentive, professional and SO SO KIND! Fast forward to the wedding. He showed up on time and was ready to rock! My wedding had a little curve ball in there as my little sister performed a song with my dad playing guitar. Jonathan learned the specific song for our wedding, and there was not a dry eye; it was fantastic! Jonathan's voice is killer! His ability as a DJ to read the crowd and give them exactly what they want is impeccable. You are literally missing out if you do not hire him, cannot say enough great things!

We had Jonathan as our MC/DJ for our wedding in October 2023. He has a beautiful voice! He sang our procession songs and our guests commented to us afterwards on his lovely voice! I started to cry as he began singing my song to walk down the aisle! I wish we had him sing more songs at our wedding!! Highly recommend!

My husband and I had Jonathan as our DJ/Emcee/Musician for our wedding back in May. I know, I know, same last name, you’re probably thinking we’re related and I’m just giving him this awesome review. We are NOT related. He was amazing! His list of cover songs, especially the Hip-hop and R&B covers were such a hit with our guests. I cannot say enough great things about him and how great he was! I first saw Jonathan at a friend's wedding (prior to us getting engaged) and I knew I HAD to have him at my wedding. As soon as we booked the venue he was my second call. He performed Invisible String for my ceremony and allowed us to select to new songs that weren't on his comprehensive list. My guests were obsessed with his performance during our dinner hour and my planner said it was the first time she had guests ask for an encore during dinner! He also kept the dance floor going all night long. 10/10 would recommend.

I booked Jonathan to DJ, play guitar and sing live at our wedding at Tivoli Italian Villa in Fallbrook, CA . I booked him through Kevin Miso as Kevin was one of the venue's preferred vendors. (We had to pick off their list.) I didn't like being limited on DJ's on their list but finding Jonathan through Kevin turned out to be a diamond in the rough! We worked with Jonathan two weeks before the wedding to pick out all our songs via a Google survey. We also had a call with him to go over our vibe and wishes for the night. He was accommodating with our requests and was willing to learn a couple new songs to play for our ceremony, which I really appreciated. Day of the event Jonathan was on time, prepared and we had zero issues with the music and microphones. He didn't put up a fuss when my 2-year-old stole the mic during toasts and had fun yelling into it. Jonathan also graciously worked with our wedding MC to take turns making announcements and coordinating events. But the best part...were our guest reactions! We had lots of comments about how wonderful his singing was during dinner. We had fan girls taking videos! We're still getting comments from friends about how talented he was. Jonathan was memorable and unique. And that's exactly what we wanted.

We hired Jonathan for our wedding on 5/21/23 and he was the highlight of our event. We didn't have dancing, so he was able to play songs and sing during our reception. We had our wedding on the beach in the San Diego area, and were given strict guidelines on our music selection by the venue. We were introduced to Jonathan through another musician, and we can't say enough great things about him and his amazing voice. The area of beach we choose is surrounded by a hotel, and of course guests were intrigued by our wedding and ceremony being on the beach so many of them were also hanging out watching and listening. Once cocktail hour began, so did Jonathan's singing. He has an eclectic array of music that kept invited guest as well as hotel guests dancing and singing. During dinner he sang songs by The Beatles, Sublime, Warren G and even Snoop Dogg. Our guests kept coming up to us asking where we found Jonathan. His fun, but chill vibes mixed with his voice kept everyone entertained throughout the night. If you every need a fantastic musician/DJ, someone who will work around your schedule, be flexible, know how to read a crowd with proper music selection, make Jonathan Blake Salazar your first call!

JBS played our wedding reception and cocktail hour, and we wish we had hired him to do the entire wedding reception as well. He was both incredibly entertaining while adding to the entire experience, and he was delightful to work with. We can’t recommend him enough and look forward to working with him again in the future.

When I first heard about Jonathan I jumped at the idea of having someone perform at the ceremony and over dinner and then also DJ the late night party! After doing some research to get a sense for his sound (think JT vibes!) I was so excited when I found out he was available! Sadly he injured his hand and couldn’t play guitar but Jonathan had a friend come who ended up having an incredible voice too! It all worked out so well and I highly recommend booking him for your wedding or event!

My husband and I worked with Jonathan for our wedding in Simi Valley last weekend, and he did the most amazing job with his live acoustic performance, DJ'ing, and MCing. Jonathan did so many fun renditions of old hip-hop songs during his performance, which we loved! He was so positive, professional, and easy to work with, and would 100% recommend him to any family or friends looking for a fun way to mix things up at their event!

Would leave 1,000 stars if I could! Jonathan played at our wedding party for the dinner portion and was beyond amazing! From our first phone call with him, we immediately could feel how much he genuinely cared about our event and making it as special as possible. All communication was totally stress-free. He has such a wide variety of songs that he can play and matched our vibe perfectly! All of our guests absolutely loved him and are wanting to book him for their upcoming events, I can honestly say that our event wouldn’t have been the same without Jonathan. It is hard to even describe his level of talent and the overall feeling you get when listening to him play. My husband keeps joking that he is trying to find any possible event or party for us to throw so we can work with Jonathan again and enjoy his music! He was such a memorable part of our night and we are so lucky he was able to play for us.

When we started looking for a musician for our wedding I was so disappointed by most of what I was finding. Mostly groups I felt I’d see at a company party & a little outdated for our ocean side wedding. Then we found Jonathan! Truly amazing. His style, incredible voice, & song recommendations were all amazing for us! Our guests asked me several times all night where we found him. He was our MC, sang during our procession, and pulled out the most fun music for our dance floor. If you want a more current vibe, and true professional, and someone who guest will continue to talk about, he’s your guy! It’s also worth noting that he learned my favorite song and sang it so beautifully! 5-stars all the way.

A 5 star review does not give enough praise for how amazing Jonathan is! Jonathan played at our wedding in April, and 4 months later, we still have guests contacting us asking for his information. From the start, Jonathan was open to what we envisioned for our wedding day, and was very professional in suggestions. When I couldn't figure out which edition of "I Can't Help Falling in Love" to walk down the aisle to, he humbly offered his new version that he had just recorded. Let me tell you... if you are thinking of using that song- USE HIS VERSION!!! It's incredible. Jonathan asked if I was comfortable with him feeling out the crowd and choosing the playlist for cocktail hour + dinner hour, and I am so happy he did. He knew exactly what to play from the start. As a bride, I tried to soak in every moment- & one of my favorite moments was watching our family and friends have so much fun interacting with Jonathan during the dinner hour. I would recommend Jonathan for any wedding or event where you want your guests to have fun and enjoy! Thank you for making our wedding day perfect, Jonathan!!

We can't say enough about Jonathan and his talent. We were fortunate to have him play for one of our baby showers and an industry event a couple weeks ago. The guest were blown away by his voice and performance. He not only played some of our favorites of the 90's and 2000's he also sang some orginal songs for us! I cant recommend this guy enough!!
