My name is Jonathan Carlisle, and I am a pianist and composer based in Cincinnati, OH. I specialize in curated cover music of timeless classics to contemporary hits, everything from Frank Sinatra and the Beatles to Miley Cyrus and Metallica. During the ceremony music selection process, I work closely with you and your fiancé to help guide what songs and styles work best for your wedding day. I offer music during the pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and even reception.

Jonathan Carlisle
Owner
Jonathan Carlisle is a pianist and composer from Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from The School of the Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) in 2011, having studied under Simon Goykhman. He continued piano and composition education at Northern Kentucky University with pianist Dr. Richard Van Dyke & Ingrid Keller and composer Dr. Eric Knechtges. He also has a certificate in Music Production from Berklee College of Music.
As a pianist, he has won numerous awards for piano performance. Most notable was his inclusion in the Classical Music series at the White House in 2009, winner of the Corbett Mayerson award at SCPA 2010, Gold Medalist for The Ohio Teacher’s Music Association (OTMA), and Featured musician at the Carnegie Center in Covington, Kentucky, 2010.
As a composer, his music has been recognized by Hal Leonard Publishing (Karol Klose Bronze Medalist), ASCAP 2014 Finalist (Tower of Bable) and MTNA as a two-time state winner (2016 & 2017) He was the 1st place winner of the Classical Stars Competition (2024), & 3rd place winner of the Around the Globe Composition Competition (2024). In 2024, his music on Spotify had over 72K streams in 140 countries.

ion was exceptional. We first met over coffee to discuss our vision for our ceremony and reception dinner music. Jon captured it perfectly by learning the songs that were important to us and suggesting songs that helped everything flow together. He even sent us recordings prior to the wedding, so we could hear how it all fit!
I have no doubt that Jon can learn any song and then speed it up, slow it down, extend it, shorten it, or do whatever is necessary to ensure it’s a perfect fit for whatever event the music is accompanying. If you’re considering having piano music at your wedding, look no further than Jonathan Carlisle. And if you’re not considering piano music, you should because after having Jon play our wedding was one of the best decisions we made!

any things you can worry and think about on your wedding day I realized that the music wasn't one of them. Jonathan is a great musician and took the time to help pick out and learn the music we wanted for the ceremony. When we were brainstorming music I had joked about walking down the aisle to Dancing in the Dark by Bruce Springsteen. Not sure if Jonathan thought I was joking, but he sent a video of a piano version he made of that song. It was so beautiful and perfect. If anyone is looking for a pianist for your wedding then take this as a sign that you found him.
