ng for, and we hired Jon to take our engagement photos (Spring 2018) and wedding photos (Fall 2019). BEST DECISION EVER! For our engagement shoot, Jon was extremely flexible and shot photos at two locations - the winery we got engaged at in SLO, and another location he suggested in Los Osos. We were so blown away (literally, it was the windiest afternoon ever!) by the photos Jon took during our engagement shoot, that we knew we absolutely made the right decision to hire him for our wedding as well! Jon perfectly captured our wedding day. It’s worth noting that our wedding ceremony and reception were in different locations, creating a little bit of a logistical challenge, however, Jon was extremely communicative and helpful in creating a photography timeline to ensure the day would go smoothly despite the multiple location changes. He didn’t miss a beat! All of the photos are amazing, so amazing that we’re even having a difficult time choosing which ones to print! Our family and friends we have shared photos with can’t get over how beautiful our photos are. I honestly could go on and on on why to hire Jon, but the best bonus is how awesome of a human being Jon is. His upbeat, fun, and easy going personality makes him so fun to be around therefore making it comfortable and fun being in front of the camera. Hire Jon, you absolutely won’t regret it!

ike the whimsical, faded-out photo style. This isn't us. We were looking for a photographer that doesn't over-edit, but embraces the colors in the photos and has more of a photojournalist's style. This is Jon to a T. He has an incredible eye and is so, so talented. What we didn't know when we hired Jon was how great of a person he is. Jon has a way of putting you at ease in front of the camera with a great sense of humor and a liberal use of the word "fuego"! Neither my wife or I have ever taken portraits like you do for engagement photos or your wedding. This was new to us, and Jon found a way to make us look good! He worked well in tandem with our videographer and has great relationships with wedding venue staffs and coordinators, too. He's also very quick with his editing. We had a "small" album of around 100 photos sent to us the morning after our wedding. We got the email from Jon while we were eating breakfast. This was so great to be able to share some photos with friends and family, and on social media, right away. I could go on and on about how highly I recommend Jon. He is organized and was helpful every step of the way. He was flexible and able to make changes on the fly. I'm certain there's not a better wedding photographer to work with in SLO County. Best advice I can give: Hire Jon!

don't live in the area but Jon came highly recommended and we were not disappointed!!! All of our guests loved him too. He made everyone laugh throughout the event! He communicated with us prior to the wedding and made sure he knew exactly which photos were the must haves and what group pictures we wanted to take so that time was efficiently spent before and after the wedding. Working with Jon and his assistant was fun and easy, and I didn't feel lame for asking for anything specific I wanted, no matter how cheesy it was :) We also had our engagement shoot with Jon. We stopped at 4 different locations which resulted in variety of photos and settings. My husband and I were both nervous to be in front of the camera, but Jon helped us get our nerves out and just be ourselves. The engagement shoot really was practice for the big day and I'm so glad we got that time in. Once our photos were ready, Jon delivered them in a very nice looking black box with the drive inside, which is also very nice and sleek looking. We've had a few printed out and they all came out in excellent quality. I highly recommend Jonathan David Studios if you want your photos to be out of the ordinary, but still classic and beautiful. mfortable the whole time. He not only does an amazing job but he also got us the pictures fast so fast. The day after our shoot he emailed us 30 sneak peek pictures and then a little less then a week from the shoot he had the whole file for us to download. He did all that with his wife's due date 10 days away. We are so excited for him to capture our big day and can't wait to see what magic he makes! We will definitely be using him after the wedding. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone! Well it looks like I can only make one review so I will just have to add to this one. My wedding was two weeks ago on August 1, 2015 and I am so happy I had Jonathan and his assistant there to capture the day. I have seen a few pictures from the day and I can't wait to get them all back! Jonathan is so talented and has a special way of capturing such a special moment. After working with him for the engagement pictures I knew it would be ten times easier on the wedding day. He is so easy to get along with and has a way to make you laugh through out the day. Both my husband and I walked away from all of this feeling like he is more of a friend then a photographer because it was just that easy to work with him. I will be using Jonathan in the future for tons of different photo shoots!

Getting this right is crucial to ensure you have the best memory of your special day. For our wedding we chose Jonathan David Studios, run by Jon Miller. Jon has been a friend of mine for a long time and I have seen his work develop from the beginning. I have always admired his work but it was a big decision to choose him to shoot our wedding photos, the most important day of mine and my husband’s life. Jon was extremely professional throughout and made me feel confident in my decision from the word go. We met several times, prior to the big day, at the venue to discuss exactly what it was we were looking for and the different shots we could get. As the day came, Jon rose to the occasion and was a truly a pleasure to work with. Without any fuss or bother, Jon swooped around the venue, got the shots and worked seamlessly in and out of the crowd to get some really interesting and natural shots. Jon was extremely patient with the guests but was very conscious of time to ensure he got the killer shots of us at dusk on the hill.
