Jonathan Ivy Photography

he wedding making sure we were in the right places, taking the best shots, and providing his recommendations throughout the night while remaining flexible to our requests. We are so glad we chose Jonathan because our wedding photos turned out amazing! We highly recommend using Jonathan as the process will be smooth and the pictures will be timeless!

photo turn around time was quick, too!

I’m so grateful for his patience and for going above and beyond. He truly captivated the essence of our special day. I would recommend him in a heartbeat and hire him all over again.

friendly and easy to work with. Upon first reaching out to them (after reading many awesome reviews online) they immediately responded and recommended meeting up for drinks/dinner to get to know each other. These two are the best of the best. They brought samples of their work and different high quality book options they offer- and we immediately knew we had to have the works. Jonathan and Sam are both very approachable and professional. Their photos speak for themselves. Jonathan has an eye for amazing photo opportunities and helps make you feel comfortable from the start. He excels at capturing the natural/fun moments in perfect, glowy lighting. Sam goes above and beyond to make each photo release feel special. They create a unique blog post, share links on facebook, feature you on their instagram page, and maybe even add in a special delivery of chocolate, champagne, and flutes to announce your wedding photos are officially ready (spoke straight to my heart!). Sam thinks of all of the details! At the last minute, we included in our wedding package a sign-in book, and Sam worked with us to make sure it was ready in time and even included pens that would work best with the pages. Book Jonathan Ivy Photography before they are booked up for the wedding season! You can trust them to capture all of the highlights and memories.

to hire them for my upcoming family photos!

rea. The photographs are true to your memories. He is great with crisp and colorful shots. He is also so good at looking at his environment and finding great photo opportunities that captivate the environment and your love for each other. His photographs tell a story of your day which is so great to look back on and re-live. Samantha was great in coordinating everything they needed for the big day! Communication was quick, timely and organized. I would highly recommend Jonathan Ivy Photography!!! :)

eceived some sneak peeks and are already amazed by our photos and can't wait to see the rest of them. They are loving, friendly, professional, helpful and take beautiful photos. Jonathan makes taking photos a breeze. We love them and would choose them time and time again.

have done my engagement photos, and they will be doing my bridal photos and wedding photos. They also helped me make huge decisions on the wedding like recommending when the ceremony should take place to make sure all photos were done in proper lighting. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to have amazing photos and be stress-free about photography

email away. She was informative, detailed and never got annoyed with all my questions or anxious bride moments. Jonathan did a wonderful job of capturing every single moment! He was open to capture any type of photo I wanted, from the cheesy pinterest poses to my bridal party jokingly giving the finger as an "lol" moment. He even captured my dogs in the perfect light! He makes you laugh, advises you to take a shot and has fun capturing you in the most natural setting. I really appreciate that because I tend to get awkward if a camera is put to my face. Jonathan even calmed me down when my makeup artist was over an hour late. He assured me it's okay, take a deep breath and that we will get all the photos I ever wanted and he was absolutely right. I received all my final photos and my album super quick (along with a flash drive with high resolution photos). To give you an idea of how amazing they really are, when my wedding photo made it to the San Antonio Wedding Magazine Issue, they offered to send me a copy since I lived in Houston and couldn't get access to it. I cannot thank them enough. I am obsessed with my album and still look through it like it's my first time seeing it. They are worth every penny and I look forward to emailing them one day when I need a maternity photoshoot (not sure if they even do that, but maybe if I beg them enough). Thank you Jonathan and Sam, you guy are wonderful and thank you for making my special day unforgettable.

are both so fun and easy to be around, which definitely put us at ease. Our pictures around the San Antonio Riverwalk were spectacular and we couldn't have picked a better photographer. Jonathan definitely knows how to capture those perfect moments on your special day.

ry and style - his photos are everything we'd hoped for and more. But what we didn't consider was the way he interacted with our guests to get those photos. He had a way of keeping the attention of those he needed to shoot and kindly preventing distractions from those that didn't need to be in particular photos. We had a two day wedding event and everyone loved interacting with Samuel and Jonathan! They're FUN, easy going, and ultra professional - exactly the kind of vibes a stressed bride needs. These guys are a true gem in San Antonio - we're so happy we chose them and you should too!

definitely be using their services. We would highly recommend!

essional, fun and so great to work with! Would recommend to anyone!

ements pictures and wedding pictures turned out amazing and we couldn’t be happier with the final product!! They are such sweet people and I’m so glad Jonathan and his team were a part of our day!!

rs. But this photographer was extremely understanding! Samantha and Jonathan kept in touch with us on our recovery progress and kept us in their prayers! When we were finally able to take our pictures months later, Jonathan was wonderful. He was punctual and had a many suggestions for places to shoot at and great poses! We were so happy to see how wonderful our pictures turned Thank you Jonathan & Samantha!

y over and over!

at job making you feel comfortable in front of the camera, and captures great candid and "posed" pictures. We has a somewhat rushed wedding day, trying to fit a lot of things into a little amount of time. When it came to getting all the pictures we wanted, Jonathan was able made it happen within the little time we gave him, yet didn't make us feel rushed. We enjoyed every minute of having Jonathan with us for our engagement and wedding pictures. He is not only professional with his work, but he is also a genuinely great man and we have loved getting to know him more. Let's not forget about his wife Samantha! Doing much of the behind the scenes work, she was very efficient at communicating with us and was also very patient with our decision making. She handles herself very professionally, but is also a fun spirit to work with. This team that we chose to capture our special day is incredible. Recently, we got our wedding proofs back, and we are 100% satisfied with what we've seen. We can't wait to see all the final products!! We highly recommend Jonathan Ivy Photography with no reservations. Thank you so much Jonathan and Sam for capturing our memories that will last a lifetime.

pleased with the collection of photos from a photographer. He has a good vision for positioning, lighting and background. None of the photos needed editing which saved on overall cost, which by the way was more than reasonable. I received all the images in a digital file for no additional fee.

ating and making sure not a thing is missed too! Detail focussed, incredibly fun, and they are dedicated to serving their clients with the highest quality of service! High integrity, high quality, HIGHLY recommended!

han and Samantha are so inviting and made us comfortable from the moment we met. We were so appreciative of their creativity and professionalism. The photos are breathtaking!

rapher for our wedding. He is amazing at catching those perfect moments and always has so many great ideas. Jonathan is one of the most talented photographers out there! We are completely obsessed with our wedding photos and have Jonathan Ivy to thank! I highly recommend their services!

, and then when looking back, saw that all of the photos / locations were from the same photographer. From the moment I contacted Jonathan and Samantha, everything was SO easy. We wanted to capture shots all over Houston, and they were able to accomoodate EVERY SINGLE location which we wanted to shoot at, propose a mapped out route with exact times they would recommend spending at each location, etc. and it all turned out to be Perfect! I was worried it was going to feel awkward, but Jonathan makes you feel so comfortable and when you are "stuck" on what to do with your hands, etc. he knows exactly the way to suggest a "pose" without it looking too forced or pose-y. After our shoot day, they were so fast to deliver the photos, make the edits, and mail us our USB of pictures. It was so fun hanging out with Jonathan on our shoot day and getting to know Jonathan and Samantha through our email and in person interactions, and if we weren't getting married in Pennsylvania I'd totally have booked them for our wedding!! I would not hesitate to recommend these guys to any one in the area. Thank you!!

y wedding and i would always look at his work. Because of timing I couldn't use him for the ceremony and man do i regret it. Look at his portfolio and you will fall in love.Him and Sam do an amazing job from the beginning to the end.

but turned out beautifully. The quality of pictures was very impressive especially considering the quick turn around for all of our wedding pictures! His team got along great with our planner, videographer, and all of the wedding party and they made the getting ready process very fun for all of us without feeling intrusive. Highly recommend their services!!

photographer. On the day of my wedding, we apparently were on a time crunch and were running slightly behind schedule. I had no clue, why? Because Jonathan took control of the situation and made me feel so relaxed as if nothing was wrong, even though he knew we were running behind. I had a day of coordinator, but she was no where to be found at my hotel while getting ready. Jonathan took matters into his own hands, and I can't thank him enough!!! It would NOT have been the same without him there. He is not only the most talented photographer, but the most professional as well. His work will capture every moment of your wedding, and you won't even know he's there! The photos are unbelievable!!! I am beyond happy with all of my engagement and wedding photos. My husband loved him as well. I will definitely be using him for all of my future photos! If you're searching for a great photographer for your wedding, look no further. He is the BEST!!!

utely loooove my wedding and engagement photos and have recommended Jonathan Ivy to several people already. The most impressive thing was that he could manage and tolerate my husband and his drunk groomsmen while shooting the wedding haha!

and and then take photos at the Capital and her reception venue-- the Chateau Bellevue before the actual wedding ceremony. Jonathan and his assistants were able to capture the most perfect moments of the day and we will be forever grateful to him for the heart he put into each setting. Our daughter's wedding will be forever enjoyed in the photos by Jonathan Ivy. We wish we could give him more than 5 stars.

lly captured great moments, and he is SO talented! I will reccommend him to everyone I know. Thank you for doing such a great job! And Samantha thank you for always being so quick to answer any questions I had! :)

hout the entire planning process. Before your wedding for engagements and bridals, day of your wedding they should not leave your side, and afterwards getting back your images and making albums. If there's one vendor you need to truly love, it's your photographer." So knowing that, when I met and interviewed potential photographers it was important I found the right match. Jonathan Ivy and Samantha were that and much more for us. Samantha is a wealth of wedding knowledge and I have to give credit to her for some of my small touches I got so many compliments on. Jonathan is so amazing and talented. For our engagement photos, I requested to shoot at a new location for him. He went a couple days ahead of time and tested the lighting, angles, etc so that he was prepared for Jon and I! I was so impressed. His passion is one in a million that made me feel so special and that he truly cared about how our photos turned out. Samantha is extremely prompt on returning emails, texts, calls. My bridal portraits turned out AMAZING!! And we are beyond thrilled with our wedding photos, absolutely amazing. I could go on and on about their team but I'll leave it at this. You will NOT regret hiring Jonathan Ivy Photography. They were the best decision I made and can't wait to work with them again in the future! Love you guys and thank you for everything!!!

but when we met with Jonathan & Samantha we didn't even want to meet with the other choice. They are so incredibly sweet, good people & SO talented. Samantha always replied to my emails super quickly, & she was always available & willing to help with other aspects of the wedding as she used to be a wedding planner herself (How sweet is that?!). Jonathan made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera (because let's face it, it's SO awkward at first). You can tell he takes his job very seriously, & I just can't say enough about how talented he is. I was pretty nervous to get my engagement photos back because I had the worst day, & then it ended up raining on us... but they were so beautiful. I can't believe how good they came out! We just received our slideshow of the wedding photos & I was in tears! He captured some incredible moments... and we are so happy to be able to hold on to them forever. I am so thankful that we found Jonathan & Samantha, and our 2nd photographer Sam was great as well!!! Our photos are perfection!

were amazing!! I had a very simple wedding, and the church I got married in had very poor lighting… Jonathan magically made that lighting look great! Very excellent service, great communication, and everything is done in a very timely manner. Do not overlook this wonderfully talented photographer!!! My husband and I loved every photo we received!

rs always admiring the beautiful images they produce. But, what totally exceeded my expectations was just how perfect EVERYTHING turned out. From engagement pictures to bridal portraits to the actual day of the event we could not have been more pleased or delighted. The ease of scheduling and willingness to work with you to ensure the most perfect images was more than we could have ever asked for. Jonathan and Samantha are adorable and make you feel as if you've known them forever. Please stop looking and hire them. They are just too good not to.

ited when "shopping" for vendors, and we knew immediately that his photography style was exactly what we wanted. Jonathan really made an effort to make us feel comfortable and relaxed during our shoots, and encouraged us to get out of our shells when he knew it would make a really good picture. Jonathan and his team captured all of the big moments on our wedding day, and I felt assured that they wouldn't miss anything. We got a gorgeous wedding album that's both traditional and modern, with high quality prints and a really unique cover. Overall, we couldn't be happier with our decision to use Jonathan Ivy for our photos and would highly recommend!

o be my first goal. I've always been the person that loves to document all special moments with pictures. So finding the perfect photographer to document our special day was extremely important to me. As soon as we got engaged, I started looking at wedding photos online for inspiration. I started with a simple Google search. I soon noticed that so many of the wedding photography I was drawn to, was taken by Jonathan Ivy Photography. I went to their website and fell in love with his work. I did a lot of research and read so many reviews about Jonathan Ivy and many other local photographers as well. I do not make decisions easily and I research and learn all I can before commiting. So I scoured the Internet and felt very confident that Jonathan Ivy was my top choice. We scheduled a meeting with Samantha and Jonathan and I knew within five minutes of meeting them that I had found our photographer. They were the first and last photographer we met with and have been such a pleasure to work with throughout this whole process. They are a husband and wife team and they work together seamlessly. Samantha handles all scheduling and is the one you will most likely be directly communicating with. She is amazing and totally on top of her game! She was always ready to answer every single question I had! And believe me, I had a lot of questions! She is so knowledgeable and extremely professional. She not only put my mind at ease, but she was always so prompt with her responses. I really appreciated her attention to detail and the fact that she responded to every e-mail so quickly. Working with Jonathan at our photo shoots and at our wedding has been a pleasure. We had an engagement shoot, bridal portraits and he was with us on our special day. He is truly talented and easy to work with. I've just been in awe of his work. I can't even tell you how happy my husband and I have been with the photos Jonathan has taken. He captured so many precious moments and it is so amazing to watch him work. His eye for detail is incredible. He undoubtedly exceeded our greatest expectations! The gorgeous images he captured of us are priceless and will certainly be cherished forever. I will recommend them to anyone and everyone that is looking for a fabulous photographer! We are so thankful to both Samantha and Jonathan for being such a lovely part of this special time in our lives! If you are looking for a wedding photographer, do not even hesitate to choose Jonathan Ivy Photography!

but also great friends to have by our side!

ured our engagement photos and our wedding perfectly. Each detail was recognized and photographed elegantly, uniquely and thoroughly. They got so many good shots that it is impossible to pick a favorite. I love the way they capture moments and they captured peoples' personalities. Their photos have a timeless elegance, and they are so valuable! They surpassed all expectations and really made the experience pleasant and memorable. We will treasure these pictures for our whole lives. I could not be more grateful. They are worth every penny and I would recommend them to anyone. They give you so much more than what you pay for- an irreplaceable experience and photos to share and love. Thank you for all you did for us and for making this process so easy and specifically catered to us. You give such value and I am grateful to know you both. Thank you!!! I hope to use your services again in the future! You are truly the best!

le taking the photos so you don't feel awkward. He is very creative and by working with him you can tell he just as an eye for photography. Modern, Creative and professional, he is A+.

of the best, and a professional who would "take charge" on my wedding day so that I didn't have to. This is EXACTLY what I got with Jonathan Ivy & Samantha!! Not only is Jonathan Ivy extremely talented, but he turns photos around within 1 to 2 weeks (and keeps his word on this timeline)...this is QUICK! In addition, his business partner and wife, Samantha, is an absolute professional. For the entire time I worked with Jonathan Ivy, we maintained a "long distance relationship" via email; as I do not live in Houston. Samantha ALWAYS kept me informed and on my toes with the timeline. She made sure that I was completing the tasks that I needed to do on time, so that I did not have any issues on my wedding day (i.e. - schedule my bridals so that I had time to proof, order, and frame them before the wedding). She helped me to pick the perfect venue for my bridals, and Jonathan absolutely NAILED the pictures! I was stopped by tons of people asking who did my pictures (to include the staff at my reception who sees bridal pictures on a daily basis!). Jonathan Ivy Photography completely knocked it out of the park! Moreover, the day after both my bridals and my wedding, Samantha contacted me to manage my expectations and the way ahead. Bottom line - This couple has been an absolute pleasure to work with, and I am beyond grateful that I worked with this team to capture such a perfect moment...and to top it all off, they are the kindest people you will meet. Thanks Jonathan Ivy & Samantha for being so wonderful!!!

g our favorite pictures from the wedding - there are simply too many wonderful photos! They do an excellent combination of candid and posed shots. We've had so many people tell us how beautiful the photos from our wedding have turned out and we couldn't agree more. We could not have been more pleased with their work and will definitely be contacting them again for future family photos! Also, their photobooth is awesome!

e pictures look great.

is just have fun and they get some awesome shots. They also put together a slide show to music that you can email family and friends. I loved this, I was able to share some of my pictures with friend that were unable to attend the wedding. They did a great job for me.
