From the get go, Jonny Black and his team was amazing staying in touch and getting all of our plans together, walking us through their website and giving us heads up on our DJ before receiving an introduction call from them. Their website allows you to make your song list, upload and timeline and is very convenient so that they have everything in order for the day of! Our DJ played all of the hits we said we wanted and took special requests from my family as well. He kept the party going the ENTIRE TIME!!

Jonny and his team were amazing! They were incredibly helpful and had recommendations when it came to picking our music. I loved the reminders of meetings and adored their online site. It made picking our favorites and finalizing our music for special dances so easy! And the DJ who was at our event was fantastic. Shout out to Yad, who kept the party going all night and made sure everyone had a fantastic time. Jonny and his team also provide additional services. We took advantage of the additional uplights and they really added an extra something special, particularly during the dancing part of the reception.

Jonny was amazing in helping us plan out our ideas for our entertainment at our wedding!

There were line dances, a dance off and then a sing off. I’m glad to say, hands down our wedding was the best party we’ve ever thrown. Special thanks to our amazing DJ, DJ Yad. He was thorough with our music selection, played our requested songs, and followed our timeline seamlessly. The dance floor was packed the entire night. As the kids say, it was lit!

We hired Jonny Black Productions for my clients Elizabeth & Jorge wedding in November! Boy, were they the talk of the night! Everyone raved about how AWESOME Jonny went above and beyond to keep the crowd on the dance floor! We could not have picked a better DJ, MC & Hype man as my clients called him! I had a very disappointing experience with Jonny Black for my wedding reception. The standout was DJ Yad who did a great job at the actual event. However, the interaction and support from Jonny was awful in planning the DJ services for the event. He was disrespectful, condescending, and very difficult to work with. This was especially the case in verifying the vaccination status of the DJ staff, which I wanted to do in order to keep our event safe given our guests. I would not recommend working with Jonny Black to others.

All I can say is WOW. Many of our guests asked for our wedding playlist after our wedding. We provided input on the important songs (first dance, etc.) but allowed Jonny and his team to manage the rest. DJ Yad did an incredible job reading the crowd, selecting music, and keeping people engaged. The sound quality was excellent as well. We also used the photo booth and the pictures we were able to have in a book are so fun to look at since our wedding felt like such a whirlwind. Thank you Jonny and your team for going above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect!

DJ Chosen kept the party going all night and always had the right songs playing appealing to every audience. He was super flexible when we had to reschedule due to covid-19 and was always very responsive when asking questions/making changes. I’d highly recommend both Jonny Black productions with an emphasis on DJ Chosen!!

Having DJ Chosen was seriously one of the best parts of our wedding! He was so nice to talk with and was really good at reading the room and engaging with our crowd. My husband and I got legally married a year ago and were finally having the reception part of the wedding, so we didn’t have a lot of the traditional elements of a wedding (ceremony, wedding parties, etc.). However, DJ Chosen found unique ways to get people up from their seats to celebrate us and had the dance floor packed all night. We also worked with Javier when creating our music playlist/timeline and he was also such a pleasure to work with. Javier was so organized and really listened to what my husband and I wanted when finalizing the details. He made sure to cover every little detail to make sure we were all on the same page of everything. Our wedding reception was such a blast thanks to Jonny Black Productions!

Jonny and his team blew our highest expectations out of the water. He made us feel so special on our wedding day. One of our favorite memories of the whole night was him pumping up the crowd before our big “reveal” at the reception. It was so much fun, we want to relive that moment over and over again. He was very intentional with us throughout the whole process and was an amazing communicator. He answered us promptly and without hesitation. Our wedding guests could not stop raving about how much fun the dance party was with continuous songs to make us sing and dance. The photo booth was also a hit and we had so much fun looking at our scrapbook when we got back. I would recommend Jonny and his team in a heartbeat; they were amazing to work with and are extremely talented at what they do. Best DJ service in all of Houston. Especially DJ Yad! My wife and I looked at several different companies, but the professionalism from Jonny and the pure love for what they do is what sold us. Jonny was always available to answer our calls/texts and had multiple zoom calls with us to make sure we understood everything that would go into our day. DJ Yad; he is a true entertainer! All night long, DJ Yad read the room and had an innate ability to pick songs that would keep the party going. Seriously, our guests were having so much fun we had some guests with ripped pants after dropping it low. My wife and I still get compliments on how our wedding reception was the best some of our guests had been to and that couldn't have been without DJ Yad and the Jonny Black crew.

We used Jonny Black Productions for our daughters wedding at The Bell Tower. DJ Chosen was our DJ. Their team is so professional, responsive, and organized. It exceeded our expectations. Not only did they perform the needed duties of the wedding and ceremony but they helped ahead of time offering song selections and audio support needs. And they are just generally awesome people to work with!

We hired Jonny Black productions for our wedding at the Gallery and they did an amazing job! Jonny is very responsive and willing to answer all questions you have along the way. Further, they have an appointment with you to decide all the songs (which you can really pick anything even from YouTube and they will make it work) and help you to make any of the decisions you are not sure on and make sure to incorporate all of the important things you want to do during the wedding! We had DJ Yad at our wedding and Jonny also came to help and support! They really made the party so fun and kept everyone on the dance floor all night. DJ Jonny Black and his team are a must have at your wedding or special event! They were the most professional, talented, high quality DJ group in Houston. We originally had our wedding scheduled for 4/19/20 but due to COVID we were forced to reschedule to 9/27/20. Jonny was ready to work with us stress-free to make sure we were all good for the new date. Communication is extremely important when planning a wedding and Jonny and his team kept us informed and aware of what to expect via video chats, email, and phone right down to the deadline of a week before. All of their quality forms kept the event planning organized. Jonny Black Productions were quick to responding to questions. All responses were within 5 minutes. He made sure to incorporate all the requests and songs we asked for and definitely delivered an amazing ceremony and reception! There was so much energy out on the dance floor. DJ Jonny Black does a great job in emceeing throughout the night, keeping our guests entertained, laughing, and informed of what's next. He knows what songs to play at the right time and makes sound judgment calls by reading how the crowd is feeling. Even the hardest critics to please at our wedding were extremely impressed by Jonny's performance that they even asked him for his business card! Jonny's team were highly talked about days after the wedding. Javier also did an excellent job working the Mirror Photo Booth, very professional, friendly, and helpful in making sure we got all of the photos from the night and that the guests went home with their photos via phone or printout. All of the photos were sent within a week of the wedding. The Mirror Photo Booth is a must have at your special event, crystal clear resolution, updated high quality machine with tons of customization for your event. I had a slogan for Jonny Black since I hired him.. "DJ JONNY BLACK WE THE BEST!!" (said in DJ Khaled's voice) #1 DJ in Houston, no questions asked. Give him your business and sit back and relax for stress-free event planning, a night full of an action packed dance floor. You will not be disappointed!

Johnny Black productions is amazing! We were a COVID-19 wedding and they offered to help us however they could along the way. We went with DJ Chosen and our guests were raving about him the next day! With planning a wedding during COVID-19 we were focused on other things and never provided a list of songs to play during the reception, we just asked him to play a good mix....and he did just that! He covered multiple genres and decades that made everyone happy. He was great at reading the crowd. We could not imagine using anyone else.

Oh my gosh!!! Jonny Black Productions was the best DJ we could have ever dreamt up for our wedding this past Friday on August 28th!! We had DJ Chose and Jonny come out for our big day and we are so lucky and grateful to have had them there because they truly made our wedding as fun and memorable as it was!! We got married during Covid but people were dancing like crazy while still being safe and some people of course had masks on, and still danced the night away! We had a blast at our wedding and had so many of our guests approach us about our DJ to say how amazing and talented they were!! We would 10/10 recommend Jonny Black Productions for your big wedding day or any upcoming event!! They are so so good and easy to work with, I wish we could have them DJ for us at all of our events beyond our wedding that’s how awesome they are!!

WOW! Where do I start? Jonny Black and his team were absolutely amazing from beginning to end. Mind you we were planning our wedding from out of state. My original Wedding date was April 18, 2020, but due to Covid-19 it was postponed to August 15, 2020. Jonny kept close communication, was very supportive, and accommodated accordingly throughout every road black we came across. Jonny Black is extremely detailed oriented and focuses on making your package specific to you and your spouse. He even has a shared Google Drive where he stores all documents and notes taken from the many meetings we had to make sure everything was as it should be. The day of our wedding Jonny ROCKED not only the dance floor but MCd the entire day. The energy he brings to the mic and spin table radiates throughout the entire venue. We also got the Mirror Photo Booth and up lighting. The uplighting adds character and party vibes to the venue when its reception time. I was so shocked at the quality of the photos from the photo booth. You get a print, a digital copy, and GIF sent right to your phone within seconds. It was a HUGE hit and everybody posted their photos and GIFs on social media the next day. Jonny and all his staff were so professional, kind, and FUN. You can tell the Jonny Black Production’s team love what they do! It felt as if they were family!! Worth every penny I promise!!!

I went to a wedding in March 2019 and had a BLAST because the DJ was so good. I knew when I got engaged in June 2019 that I had to have that DJ. I reached out to Jonny Black Productions soon after we got engaged, and got the process started. Jonny was very communicative, and helpful and made the decision so easy! 30 days from the wedding we had discussions about the logistics of the evening and the songs/vibes we were looking for. It was executed perfectly the day of! DJ Chosen was energetic, fun, professional, and made sure all of our requests were met. We also got 20 SMART uplights and they really set the vibe for the room. Could not recommend Jonny Black Productions enough!

Very informative. Took the time to go over the timeline in detail. He was also extremely flexible and was able to adjust to my cultural needs. Everyone had a great time and it was non-stop dancing!

DJ Chosen was amazing! We had our wedding right as things were starting to get bad with the corona virus. DJ Chosen was a great distraction from all the chaos. He showed up on time and put on a great show. I had several wedding guests complementing him even weeks after the wedding. They were very easy to work with and brought up questions I didn’t even think of. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Jonny Black productions was SO easy to work with! We had an excellent experience from beginning to end. We had plenty of meetings and phone calls before the wedding so that they knew exactly what vibe we wanted. Our DJ, Danny B, played all of our favs, and NONE of our do-not-plays (so important!!). He also was very careful not to spill the beans to my husband about my secret bridesmaid dance. Tons of energy, kept everyone on the dance floor, super friendly.. we have nothing but good things to say!

We used Jonny Black for our reception music, and we also had the mirror booth rental. Javier is who helped us with planning for our ceremony, making sure all song selections were correct, and he also coordinated with my wedding planner on the reception timeline. Our DJ was fantastic and was very respectful of our music selection. The mirror photo booth was a huge hit! You can text the photos to yourself, and also text the boomerang. Not only that but you get to print out the photos! You will not be disappointed with this company! They are awesome!!

Dj Yad from Jonny black did an an absolutely terrific job at our wedding! See, I’m Nigerian and my husband is American. And it was very important to us that our friends and family had fun, and that meant that music on both sides would be played. All our friends were on the dance floor the entire time!! At one point, our entire wedding party was behind the DJ booth screaming lyrics, and I was wearing the DJ headphones! We were required to use Jonny Black through the contract with our venue but they are definitely a good choice! Music was one of my top 3 important things for my wedding and I liked that they gave me a questionnaire to fill out and a list of songs/genres to say yes or no. They also said if I wanted to send them specific playlists I could. You don’t actually meet the DJ that will be at your event. You meet with a manager and he writes everything down and then it’s given to the DJ for your event. We had DJ Chosen and he did a great job! He did play a song that I requested not to play though. :(

Your DJ/MC really makes or breaks the wedding and Jonny Black is the where it’s at. From the very beginning he made us feel really confident about the day. My husband and I are sooo happy we chose Jonny. Will recommend to all my friends and family!

DJ CHOSEN...I am writing in caps on purpose. PERFECTION and exudes COOLNESS. I am a stickler with my music and DJ Chosen handled that part with ease. Let me tell you what you can not pay for but you get with DJ Chosen. You get an intelligent suave DJ that can be authoritative and help with controlling your crowd without being overly demanding or a jerk. BUT the important part is he kept the dance floor full and happy. I would have not been happier with any other DJ. My budget did not let me hire a live band so going the DJ route was iffy for me originally however I do not regret that I had DJ Chosen command my wedding celebration. He knows how to work the crowd. Johnny Black production is very lucky to have this guy! As for the aspect of selecting my DJ, the Jonny Black production team was on point when I wanting uplighting for my wedding. First of all, everyone at this company is an absolute pleasure to work with. Our liaison was Javier, and when we were going over our song choices for the ceremony/reception, he was very intent on getting it right and making sure he was clear on PRECISELY what we wanted. The music was perfect! The DJ for our wedding was DJ Chosen. He was awesome! At one point, he went off-script to gather our friends and family around us and have them promise to support us as a couple. It was really touching! He was so nice, and even came into the bridal suite beforehand to be 100% sure of what version of the song I wanted to walk down the aisle to. Our photo booth was the mirror photo booth, and it was so cool! We’d seen it before at another wedding, and absolutely loved it. We were really excited to find out that Jonny Black offered it! We got a book full of photos with signatures from our guests, a gif of us, and an online gallery of all our photo booth pictures!

Dj chosen was the best! We had a full dance floor the whole night. He made sure to keep the party going! We could be happier!!!

Awesome DJ and the mirror photobooth had a line all night! We used Jonny Black Productions for our wedding on October 5th. We used their DJ (s/o Danny B!!) for the ceremony and reception. JB Productions and our DJ,Danny, did an awesome job making sure we were all on the same page before our wedding day. Danny had a great selection of music during our cocktail hour and dinner and kept the dance floor packed all night. I also recommend getting the uplights and mirror photobooth. The uplighting provided the perfect atmosphere during dinner and dancing, it was such a great touch. All of our guests loved the mirror photobooth! It is a unique alternative to traditional photobooths you typically see at weddings. I highly recommend using JB Producitons for your wedding! They were professional, friendly, and always quick to respond to any of our questions.!
