I cannot speak highly enough of Jos & Tree. The very first thing I booked for my wedding were wedding photographers -- after all, photos are the only concrete thing that you'll have from this beautiful day (aside from a new partner for life). Jos & Tree capture the magic of a lived moment better than any wedding photographers I've ever come across. Their photos brim with life and emotion. Their photos really parlay the actual experience of a wedding in photo form: the colors, the tears, the laughter, and the lushness of community and love and friendship. I find myself pouring over these photos again and again. Each one is masterful, and I always pick up on new details and new bits of magic in each. On a personal note, Jos & Tree are also fantastic people. I felt like they quickly became new friends, who we would have happily invited to our wedding as our guests. I found myself looking for them in the crowd, just so that we could chat and hang out! They're so fun, and kind, and committed. They'll make you laugh with their antics (climbing trees and diving under guests to get that perfect shot); they'll make you cry with their love and support; and you will feel so safe in their hands, knowing that your photos will be perfect. They are also SO committed to the work. Jos and Tree came out for a whole series of wedding events, tirelessly devoting so many hours to capturing so much of our happy wedding week. They meticulously planned everything -- scoping out the scenes, setting up shots, and knowing how to grapple with really tricky lighting (we had a backlit ceremony on a cliff's edge). Yet, somehow, they make it seem effortless. In sum: BOOK THEM NOW.

We met Jos & Tree through an Art community in the Pacific Northwest. When we reviewed their portfolio after we got engaged, our search for our wedding photographers was over. We had to go with Jos and Tree. We loved how alive their photography was, and how even a single photograph told a story, not to mention an entire series. The photos they took of our own wedding are no different. Jos & Tree captured the magic that we felt that day, and the pictures we received allow us to relive all the moments we remember (and even some that we don’t!). Their ability to seek out small, quiet moments, and creatively capture big, bombastic ones, is truly inspiring. We are so blessed to have such a beautiful collection of art that reflects both the intimacy and vibrancy of our wedding. Aside from their work as photographers, Jos & Tree are also incredible consultants - they have seen it all - and provided excellent advice all through our planning process. And having their expertise and eye for detail on the day of was a cherry on top. Jos & Tree are the real deal: both brilliant artists, super resourceful, with flawless execution. Quick backstory, to justify the long review: It is my opinion that I keep 4 main things from my wedding: 1) the spouse, 2) the rings, 3) the papers, and 4) the photos. I have grown up in a household that treasures pictures, and I never miss an opportunity to take pictures. For me, picking a photographer for the wedding was a huge undertaking. I wanted someone my partner and I both felt comfortable with, who would lend us their expertise, but also keep the moments genuine. Jos and Tree were the perfect choice for our photographers, and we haven’t even gotten the pictures back yet. We found Jos and Tree while looking for a photographer for our December 2020 wedding. We loved them from our first consultation, and I remember more laughter than anything else in that meeting. You might have guessed it from the date of our original wedding, but we had to postpone. My partner and I eloped to get the legalities done, and rescheduled the wedding to December 2021. Jos and Tree rolled with it, made sure we had our new weekend, and we all promised to keep in contact through the year if anything changed. For my partner and I, our world was shaken up when he was diagnosed with cancer. Most of 2021 was spent in and out of the hospitals, and wedding planning completely fell to the side. It wasn’t until late September that we really started to get our feet under us, and get back into things. It was Jos and Tree who reached out to us, checking in, giving us specific goals and agenda items that we needed to discuss. Meanwhile, most of the other things in our wedding remained a little chaotic up to the week beforehand. Many of our venders were not on top of things, and were difficulties to reach. Three days before the wedding, our coordinator had a death in her family and had to bow out. A tree fell on the room where our welcome dinner was supposed to be held. The first big storm of the season rolled in on the day of our wedding with 50 MPH winds, so nobody got there on time, set up was late, getting ready ran late, our wedding frankly ended up being a small mess. The one constant we had was Jos and Tree, always on time, exactly where we needed them, going above and beyond every step of the way. When I say above and beyond, I don’t just mean in the lengths they went to get a great photo for us. I mean things like their assistant Alex helping my mom do her makeup, Alex and Tree helping a bridesmaid who got stuck in her dress in the bathroom, Jos and Tree keeping the wedding on time and my partner and I focused on what to do next (without someone guiding the party, things can get hectic). When every car got snowed in during our wedding and had to get dug out, their car was one of the last to leave after making sure we got on the road safely. We worked with Jos and Tree for three days straight. All three days had Jos and Tree trudging through the snow and wind and weather, and showing up with bright smiles and an enthusiasm for their work that made it a joy to work with them. One final note – Jos and Tree won’t just say ‘whatever you guys want’ for your pictures. They will give you all the information, give you guidance, and at times they will just tell you the best way to go about something. I cannot say enough good things about them. We loved them, our guests loved them, and I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone without reservation. 

We looked for the best wedding photographer in the world and that’s what Jos and Tree are, the best in the world! The passion, experience, and professionalism that they bring will infect the rest of your wedding team and make them better. The one thing that struck me when we were looking at their portfolio was the painting like quality, Jos work with color and light is an art. Each photo they touch is like a one of a kind painting, priceless. Oh, and they are a joy to work with. My wife hires them for everything now.
