Jose and Lindsay did our engagement photos and our wedding photos in 2018! My husband and I fell in love with their work after seeing the photographs that they took of our friends for their engagement session! We felt so comfortable with them and were beyond ecstatic at the amazing job that they did once we got all of our pictures back. I would highly recommend hiring them as your photographers. They do such a wonderful job and they truly are the best at capturing those special moments :)

The best decision we made for our engagement and wedding was having Jose and Lindsay there to capture every moment. It was such an honor having this amazing couple be the photographer’s for our big day. Juggling our families expectations was stressful and tricky, we were worried about our photographers not being familiar with the traditions and that they would find them odd and challenging to understand. However, Jose and Lindsay, exceeded our hopes. They went above and beyond to deliver quality results, they were extremely patient and kind to work with. We had over a 10 hour multi-cultural wedding that was complete madness with back to back ceremonies, multiple outfit changes, and many traditions and rituals happening all at once. They made us and our families feel so at ease, it’s evident they genuinely care about people and prioritize on delivering nothing but the best work. Jose and Lindsay, doesn’t just take photographs, they create beautiful works of art and it was a privilege and honor to be a part of their portfolio. Not only are the photographs stunning, but they are lovely people to be around, so humble and down to earth! We truly have nothing but the highest praise and appreciation for all that they’ve done for us, the photos we have will forever allow us to relive the memories of those moments.

We are so glad Jose and Lindsay were our wedding photographers! They are so friendly and professional, and they made sure to keep us stress-free throughout our wedding day. We knew we wanted fine art style wedding photos, and Jose's portfolio fit the bill - his photos are elegant, classic, and just so pretty! I thought it would be difficult to find a photographer who would take both digital and film photos, so I was thrilled when Jose told us he specializes in film as well. On top of that, I really wanted a photographer who could give us an engagement + wedding photo package AND be willing to do a destination engagement shoot - and Jose gave us just what we wanted! Our engagement photos were included and Jose joined us on a trip to Yosemite to get the photos we wanted. He even knew which spots and angles were best in Yosemite since he has experience doing photos there before. We also last minute asked Jose to be our mehndi/welcome party photographer on the night before the wedding, and he was able to accommodate us. All in all, Jose and Lindsay gave us everything we wanted: fine art style, digital + film photos, destination engagement shoot, professionalism and experience, and photographers who treat you as friends!

The Alvarado dynamic duo is quite amazing! Hiring Jose and his wife as our wedding and engagement photographers was one of the best decisions we made while planning our wedding. They are no longer just a "vendor" to us, they are family. Jose kept close communication with us throughout the entire ordeal, from the time we hired him and through the wedding. In fact, he is still checking up on us as my wife and I embark on this new chapter in our lives. For our engagement photos, Jose was extremely patient and worked hard to get the special photos that we wanted. Jose and his wife Lindsay are the best photographers and made our wedding day so special! They’re very good at making you feel at ease and natural when taking pictures. The engagement photos are a great way to get to know them and a blast to do. They gave us some of the most beautiful shots and we could not be happier. And they both have a really good eye for detail and can spot a phone in my pocket from 30 feet away. They’re both extremely sweet, and we loved working with them!

Jose and Lindsay did such an amazing job with our wedding photos and engagement shoot. They made the entire process fun and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. From the very beginning they made it a point to figure out our style and what photos we were interested in having. We are beyond happy with the results. Jose is the best! We love his work so so much! He knows very well how to guide us on the poses and facial expressions. Very fast and professional. We had an awesome time shooting with him! Our first engagement session was running late, so we couldn't go to all the places to take pre-wedding photos. Jose even offered us the second one, find another time to shoot again. And when we got his work in hand, we love it very much! No kidding, that's exactly our dream engagement photos in mind! The most important thing is, he gave us a very good price! We are so regretted that we didn't find him in the beginning, he won't be available to shoot for us on our wedding day... We highly recommend Jose as a photographer, 5 stars to him for sure!

Jose and his wife Lindsey were truly a dream. Jose was incredibly communicative throughout our entire process and it made me feel super comfortable. On the day of he was so calm and so professional. The final pictures are stunning and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He also did my bridal shower photos which were featured on the SLS Beverly Hills Instagram page. Working with Jose was amazing. He made being in front of camera not awkward at all. He made it comfortable and it was easy working with him. Jose and Lindsay were our wedding photographer and we are really glad that we chose them for our wedding and engagement photo shoot. We have gotten many recommendations from our wedding planner on photographers around Los Angeles (and there are a lot) and there are few reasons why we chose their service. 1. They operate as a couple. And you really want this at your wedding. Having one photographer vs two makes a real difference and we are glad we were able to have two very talented photographers at competitive pricing. 2. These guys do both digital and film photography and it is really cool to have both types available for your special day. 3. we just liked their photos. please do yourself a favor and visit their website. their works are very high quality and colors were very natural - a quality we surprisingly didn't see in many other photographers We have just gotten our pictures back and they look AMAZING! They were professional, easy to communicate and accommodating to our requests through the process. We highly recommend them for your special day.

If you want a film photographer for your wedding day, Jose is your man! We hired him for our very small wedding, and he did an amazing job. I am incredibly particular about photography and had combed through the portfolios of 100+ local photographers, and I'm so glad we found him. Jose is friendly, patient, careful, and incredibly talented, but most importantly, he has the rare gift of helping people relax in front of his camera. Working with Jose was easy and seamless, and his responses were always prompt. Before the big day, we emailed back and forth and spoke on the phone a few times, and he was careful to make sure we had everything planned well in advance. Jose was always considerate of what we wanted and had asked us if they are any shots we want, but we left it all up to him, as his portfolio showed that he has a good vision for composition, posing, and lighting. He was also very deliberate and thorough in his research – he looked up our locations ahead of time and made sure to arrive early to scout for areas that would be great for photos. Jose’s talent really shines during portrait shoots. He is careful in his composition and uses a DSLR and light meter to make sure he gets perfect lighting in his shots. He is also great at recommending poses that don’t look or feel awkward. As I mentioned before, Jose can make people feel comfortable in front of the camera, which is an incredibly rare talent among wedding photographers. We recently received our wedding album and were ecstatic with the results of his hard work. Thank you so much for everything, Jose!

We found Jose through Instagram, it was the warm and natural style that grabbed our attention. We met him and Lindsay and really liked their energy and booked them for our engagement photos and 9 hours of wedding (8 hour package with an additional hour). Jose was very accommodating to our requests, shooting at Pasadena City Hall and Griffth Observatory on the same day for our engagement pictures. He shoots with digital and film and it was such a fun experience! The pictures came out within a week and they were lovely! We couldn't wait to share them! A week before our wedding, Jose gathered a list of names/people that we would like to have pictures with on our big day. He then worked with our wedding planner for logistics and timing of the day. On our wedding day, Jose and Lindsay arrived at our getting ready spot on time and worked efficiently to capture me and the girls getting ready. We then did our first look at the ceremony space before the wedding started. Jose and Lindsay followed us around and captured many pictures of our big days. We got the pictures one month later and they were amazing!! Our friends and family loved the pictures and were in awe with the quality of Jose and Linsday's work. We were able to download and print all the pictures online and gifted them to our family. It was such an easy and fun experience working with Jose and Lindsay, they are a lovely and energetic couple and made our wedding day a breeze!

I'm EXCEEDINGLY picky when it comes to picture--if you see my IG page, you'd understand. That was why looking for the right photographer(s) was such a challenge for us especially at the fact that this is for THE BIGGEST day of our lives. True story: We have had put a downpayment to a different photographers for our wedding when I found Jose's IG page. Not sure what it was, but it really spoke to me that I actually eMail them without telling my then fiance. After exchanging eMails back and forth with specific inquiries, I was convinced that they were "the one." We then talked it over and thank God my fiance was on board. People thought we were crazy for wasting the downpayment (yes, it did hurt), but boy were they wrong! After our first meeting, we were convinced that they won't only be our photographers, because their energies and personalities are so welcoming you feel like as if you have been friends for a long time. That definitely helped during the engagement shoots (in Yosemite National Park at that!), especially to my fiance, because he felt so comfortable and at home. The pictures no doubt turned out amazing; not only Yosemite is naturally pretty, but also the way he captured us as a couple really is something else. It was the most liked picture on my IG page and we printed some on canvas and displayed them at our wedding! What really got us was the day after the wedding (NEW YEARS EVE, mind you), exactly 12 hours after they left our venue, they sent us an eMail with some "sneak peeks" of our wedding--50+ of them. Like, what?! Talk about the best customer service! Less than a month later, all the pictures from the wedding came in. It wasn't only great, it moved me, the way I was moved looking at their IG page the first time around. As if the pictures spoke, they brought me right back to the particular moments and even teared me up. Looking back, I had no single regret wasting the money for a different vendor because Jose & Lindsay were well worth it and I wouldn't want to have done it any other way. I couldn't stop looking back at the pictures and posting them on my social medias because they were ALL. THAT. GOOD. If you are looking for a vendor that can really capture your day as a whole, with such class (DID I MENTION THEY ALSO SHOOT ON FILM?), with such great personalities, with the best customer service, with a particular style.... look no further. They did not only won our hearts, but also our families and friends! (one of my bridesmaids even wanted to use his service for her future wedding!) P.S Secretly can't wait to be preggo, or to have a fur baby, or even Christmas--just so we have a reason to take more pictures with them! (:

I can’t say enough good things about Jose. He’s done maternity shoot, Christmas photos and most recently family photos. He is beyond professional and fun. Jose is so good with kids, makes you feel comfortable and gets great candid photos. He is flexible and open to suggestions/requests. His work is absolutely stunning. We love all of our photos and cannot recommend him enough.

I would recommend Jose Alvarado Photography to anyone planning their wedding. We met with many photographers but didn't get that "IT" feeling until we met with Jose & Lindsay. They were so professional, but so relaxed. We didn't feel the insane amount of pressure from them that the other photogs did. I am so glad we went with our gut feeling and booked. The quality of the photos they have provided for our engagement and wedding day have exceeded all of our expectations. They managed to capture every requested picture & group photo, and did it beautifully. Their work truly shows our love story, and they went to all lengths to capture it.
