Erika was one of the best decisions my husband and I made. From the moment we met with Erika for our initial meeting we knew our wedding was going to be a hit. I was nervous about planning and choosing the right songs but they made it so easy and stress free all with the use of an app, it's INCREDIBLE! Any questions I had throughout the process Erika was always there to answer. Almost 2 weeks later and we still have guests raving about how incredible the music was from dancing to sing alongs. Joseph & Erika truly made our wedding a unforgettable celebration and I cannot thank them enough for that. If you're thinking about hiring them for your wedding or special event do it!!

They helped with music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. From our previous conversations they were able to determine the vibe for music we were going for. He was very professional right from the beginning and arranged a phone call with us to share our ideas and vision for our wedding before providing us with a clear and concise contract. He then gave us his user-friendly event App, which allowed us to select specific songs for the different parts of our wedding ceremony and reception. Through the App we were even able to provide information for him to use as our Master of Ceremonies (MC) for the event. Although Joseph has an extensive list of songs in his repertoire, there was one particular song we wanted him to perform for our first dance that wasn’t on his list. He was more than happy to learn this specific song just for us and we just loved the version he came up with. On the morning of the wedding, Joseph arrived over an hour early to set up his equipment in both the ceremony and reception venues. His beautiful voice, skillful guitar playing and very pleasant personality during the ceremony and reception was enjoyed by everyone. We couldn’t have asked for a better singer guitarist. All of our guests told us how much they enjoyed his music, and how he made our wedding extra special. His MC skills were also very impressive. We strongly recommend hiring Joseph for any event where you need a very reliable, friendly and professional musician with a beautiful voice! both. The first half of the night was a great acoustic set followed by our favorite hits on the dance floor. They also throw in just the right amount of belting out your favorite sing-a-long songs at the end of the night. On top of the performance we found them very flexible, and Joseph even took the time out to see our wedding venue ahead of time to give us even more confidence that it would be the right setup for us. We just found them to be the exact right mix for us and can't thank them enough!

We didn’t end up choosing most of our dance floor music and just told them what types we liked, and they ABSOLUTELY nailed the dance floor music! It was hard to find a time to go to the bathroom because every song was too perfect! All our guest said how great they were and how much fun the music was! They are also incredibly talented and our live songs were so beautifully done. I cannot recommend these two more! They truly made our night so special with their beautiful music!

During our reception, they did a perfect job MC’ing and keeping the evening moving along with great live-background music, and after keeping up a fun dancefloor, they played a private last dance for us and it was magical! My husband and I have a more alternative and rock music palate so the typical wedding playlist really wasn’t our vibe so Joseph and Erika had their work cut out for them and DAMN did they deliver!!! The ability to switch between DJ and Live was seamless and added to the magic of the whole night. I cannot say enough good things about their performance. No matter your music taste, if you can’t decide between a DJ and a Live band - go with these folks. Seriously, they personalized every element and answered every email with so much care and professionalism. I wish I could host another event to have them perform. Five stars all the way!

e rate for the travel. Their laid back but detailed and responsive attitude was reassuring throughout the planning process. We went with the full band package (7 members) and every band member was talented. They were able to seamlessly transition from just the two of them performing during the ceremony and cocktail hour, to a short DJ set, to the full band dance party for 2+ hours at the end of the reception. There wasn’t a single song during the night that felt out of place. They were also open to our ideas for the setlist and truly worked to meet our taste in music (I know that some DJs/Bands are less open to input) but at the end of the day, we trusted them as professionals. A week before our night, we decided that we wanted the father of the bride to sing with the band to start the father/daughter dance. While some bands may have balked at this idea, E&J were enthusiastic/encouraging and did a wonderful job playing the back-up singers for the father. My sense is that they are open to absolutely any ideas that you might have for making your night unique. We are biased, but Erika was the best MC that we’ve seen at a wedding. MC’s at other weddings have reminded me of a sweet 16 or bar mitzvah but Erika was pure class. They are simply cool people with incredible talent and they enhanced our wedding greatly without overshadowing all of the nights special moments. After the reception, we invited them to the after party just to hang and were honored that they stopped by for a drink. Our guests are still raving about this band and even guests that don’t usually dance were on the floor all night. If you are on the fence about booking them, do yourself a favor and go for it!!!

They answered every question immediately with expertise and great suggestions. For our wedding they performed the music for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Each was in a different location at the venue so Joseph + Erika set up three zones and lead the events so guests transitioned seamlessly between each zone. The music was as fantastic. They learned three songs for us just weeks before the wedding and made a point to play them when we were both around to hear them. In planning, when we asked to switch up our Intros and first dance to have them outdoors, they pivoted and offered advice to make it happen! Our dance floor was packed ALL night. We even did live sing alongs to end the night. Joseph and Erika encouraged just the right amount of crowd involvement and we all had a blast! The music and mc for your wedding can make or break the feel, transitions and total vibe. Joseph & Erika made our wedding classy, romantic and so much fun!

Leading up to the big day they were very accommodating to help us craft a list of potential songs(we were for the most part undecided so it was nice to have that support). All in all they were talented and professional and we felt confident in our decision to hire them. They definitely delivered!!

They were our first pick for bands, so we were beyond excited when we were able to book them. Our wedding was in Nantucket on LDW (no small feat), and they went to great lengths to book affordable travel and make the trip on such a busy weekend (also, amidst their other LDW events/engagements). When it came to planning, we had some unique asks and they went above and beyond to make our vision come to life. For starters, they learned all of our first dance songs (bride/groom, mother/son, father/daughter), and even personalized them with little tweaks we wanted to make. Week of our wedding, when I had the ridiculous request for them to send me a rough recording of our first dance song so we could practice since their version would be different from the original, they didn’t even hesitate. We freaked out when we heard it because it was even better than the original! Already assuming it was too much to ask, we also threw out the possibility of them learning one additional, special song the week of the wedding for the ceremony processional, and to our surprise they, yet again, didn’t even hesitate to accommodate. Their song list is extensive and exhaustive, so the fact that they were willing to learn four additional songs (that they probably won’t ever be asked to play again because they were unique to us) says a lot about how talented and how much Joseph and Erika care. Speaking of their song list, whatever mood/vibe you’re going for, it’s on there. We marked some songs we loved and others we could do without and discussed the ambience we were trying to create, and Joseph and Erika absolutely nailed it. Honestly, they made the whole event. Our guests were in awe of them, and they kept the energy and vibes high. As if they hadn’t already exceeded expectations, after our wedding they offered to cut a professional studio recording of our first dance song. They ended up giving us two high-quality mixed/mastered mp3s of our first dance song; one was the full song and one was the version we had them personalize and abridge for the dance itself. We’ll cherish them forever. I can’t recommend Joseph and Erika highly enough. They are top of our referral list for anyone planning a wedding or event, and we hope to find another excuse to book them in the future!

seph and Erika are the greatest. They can do anything. Their vibe overall is cool and they were a joy to work with. Super stress free. They listened to everything we wanted from music for the celebration - namely that we wanted a music vibe that was in-line for our taste and music - as if we made a playlist - but better. They killed it on execution - for everything especially our special songs which they learned in just a couple weeks. Their covers were as good or better than the studio recordings. AND their energy! During dinner they were so chill and played an acoustic selection that was cool and romantic at a volume that made conversation easy. After the cake was cut, they got people on their feet. After dessert they FULL SENT IT. Teenagers to Baby Boomers were all on the dance floor, singing along. They completely captivated our guests and a point their performance reached the likeness of a concert. What a day! Such a night! Joseph and Erika made it a PARTY!
