I did a trial for my wedding, and asked him to send a contract and book my wedding date. He said no contract would be necessary but he agreed to do the job and then totally ghoste...
d me. Calls, texts unanswered, it was like he was abducted by aliens. If he changed his mind or got a bigger $$$ job, he could have told me - no harm, no foul. Instead I thought he was locked in and then once I was a lot closer to the wedding date, I had to rush to find someone else, do a trial and book them. SO, SO extremely unprofessional. What a jerk.
Joseph made my wedding incredible. He did my hair, makeup, and the hair and makeup of my bridesmaids and mother/mother in law. His work is impeccable. He was kind, considerate, pat...
ient, thorough, and conscientious. He made the experience for myself, my family and friends that much more enjoyable. Joseph takes his time to make sure that his clients are not just satisfied, but fully thrilled. He made me feel beautiful and confident on one of the most important days of my life!
He also did my hair and makeup for my bridal shower, which was just as spectacular. I will absolutely be using Joseph's services again as he is now my new hair-dresser! If you want someone skilled, dedicated, and passionate for your hair and/or makeup needs, do not hesitate to use Joseph! He takes the makeup and hair experience beyond the job itself, and makes it that much more meaningful. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend!
This has been the most bizarre experience with a vendor we've ever had. I was devastated. Starting with my trial. 1- We hired JA because of a personal referral. After reaching out ...
he told me I was IN LUCK, he was available on my wedding day. On the day of our scheduled trial in NY, he informed me he would be late for our 2pm appointment. I replied to shoot an ETA when he had the chance. At 4pm I asked how things were looking, no response. At 6pm he said he was on his way and asked for my address. By then I was unavailable.
I understand things happen and we rescheduled the trial. I literally just wanted a braid with some volume. So when our trial did happen I was happy with it, braid to the left side. Simple. Instead of paying the trial and deposit, we paid him $700 so the day of balance would be less to worry about. (Lessoned learned). He was to do my hair, my grandmothers, mother, & mother in law.
After taking our payment, Joseph Anthony disappeared for several weeks. He did not answer calls, texts or emails. I began to get worried, not only for my day but was HE ok? Should I just refund and get a new stylist? After waiting some time, I emailed asking him and stated I would not be upset and could go in a different direction with my refund.
He replied to that saying he would be there. He was sick, now fine, but had meaning to get back to me. Told me he would arrive at 11:45am with a 12p start time for a 2:45 go time.
I didn’t hear from him again…UNTIL
2. ON THE DAY OF OUR WEDDING he randomly arrived at our home WITH LESS THAN hour before the wedding ceremony. No communication, no explanation, nothing. Again didn’t respond to calls, emails, texts. Then I get a call from a friend of his that he is outside. He was not outside at the time of the call. But he told us he had been sitting in the driveway. After being asked to leave he refused to do so and entered the house demanding to get the hair done, stating he wasn’t going to leave. I felt I had no options and didn’t want this kind of drama obviously on this 1 special day I get to have. I reluctantly said yes, with 30 mins until go time again just being a side braid with body but that he had to sign a contract stating I would get my money back in full. He signed and said it would take 15/20 mins.
3. Of course this late arrival delayed our ceremony and stressed everyone out. I was most excited for the pictures THAT I WAS AN HOUR LATE FOR. But the hair wasn't even done right. It was done so poorly and rushed it fell out as soon as I arrived to venue that was 7 mins away. (and was not the same as trial). He followed to venue but and tried to fix it where I told him I had no more time for him and I was just going to have to go into this and look back at my wedding photos disappointed. My mother was SO because she spent her whole morning prepping, thinking she would have her hair done for her.
4. He has since disappeared again, and reappeared some time later with another change of plans. He is now offering to refund SOME OF our money at times of his choosing. We no longer want anything to do with this vendor. Working with Joseph Anthony is an absolute disaster, and he has shown no remorse at all. We are completely shocked by the whole situation. And reading the comments on Facebook it looks like we are not alone. This vendor either does not care about their reputation, or does not care about the customer. I would not be surprised if there is legal action against this person.
To start off Joseph Anthony has been such a pleasure to work with for my wedding. He did my hair for my engagement party, bridal shower and wedding...cannot thank him enough for hi...
s work and dedication making sure my matron and maid of honor, mom, grandma and I were happy with our hair. I even had a 2nd look for the reception which came out awesome! He was with us for the whole day and even got to join the party after all the touch-ups. I love that I found my favorite hairdresser I go to on the regular through booking him for my wedding! Absolutely recommend. <3
Joseph did a spectacular job doing the hair for both my bridesmaids and myself. My hair stayed perfect all through the night. Highly recommend!
Joseph Anthony killed it! Myself and all my bridesmaids looked fabulous. He did like 13 of us on his own and we were all ready on time! He traveled for my destination wedding and s...
tayed the entire time to make sure we stayed beautiful all night. When I took my veil off, he pinned in my hair piece and was immediately ready for any changes I requested. And to top it all off, he had makeup with him for touch ups of that as well. He was part of my entire day and got to party with all my guests until the last dance!
Joseph did an amazing job with mine, and my 7 bridesmaids hair! He was patient with me and I even did 3 trials until we found what I wanted. So happy with the way my hair came out ...
and it lasted ALL day!
Joseph was an absolute pleasure to work with, from my trial through the day of our wedding. I can honestly say I’m not a hair person, but on my wedding day I was! I loved the way i...
t looked. I did an updo with extensions and it was full, beautiful and stayed the entire night through veil removal and the addition of a beautiful hair clip that I purchased through Joseph. My bridal party had a mix of hair styles and Joseph met each one with what they wanted while also connecting with them as individuals. We really enjoyed spending the day with him. He also came to our wedding venue for touch up service. Looking back at photos from that day, I am just obsessed with how it came out.
Debated on the number of stars to give here because hair-wise he was amazing but he did show up late on my wedding day.
My bridesmaids loved their half up-half down styles that h...
e individualized for each of them and I got so many compliments on my braided loose bun style. I had no idea what I wanted really so I showed him some pictures of what I liked at our trial and he came up with a style I loved (and note he was my third hair trial so I’m definitely a little picky). He was easy to talk while he was working and was really nice throughout all the planning.
My only negative was that he showed up just over an hour late on the day of my wedding. When he was 15 mins late I texted him and he said he was on his way and he’d be there shortly. Over the next 45 mins we tried calling him 3 times and he didn’t answer. He finally texted me when he was 10 mins out and then got there accordingly. I know things happen and we had planned for extra time anyway but the lack of communication that day was frustrating - and when he showed up he didn’t even apologize or acknowledge that he was late so that was a little off-putting. He was amazing otherwise though so maybe he just had an issue that morning or something?
Joseph was AMAZING! After having to postpone my big reception to next year I was without a hairstylist for my micro-wedding ceremony that we decided to have This year. He helped ma...
tch my hair perfectly to glam seamless extensions (which are amazing and look so natural) and really listened to exactly what I wanted. My hair came out absolutely stunning and lasted the entire day into night. I received so many compliments from everyone at the venue. I didn’t even want to take it out before bed! I also opted to purchase one of his stunning hairpieces and it truly made the style even more glamorous. Not only is Joseph extremely talented, he truly makes you feel comfortable and has a great personality ! He helped calm my nerves the day of.
If i could go back, i would book him 1000x over and over again and look forward to using him in the future. Do not walk, RUN to have him as your wedding hair stylist :)
Booking Joseph for my wedding is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Joe worked with me for months to get my hair to be long and healthy for my wedding. The day of, my hair...
came out perfectly, he made me feel like a total princess. Joe is the full package, he even handled our dogs throughout the ceremony! One of my bridesmaids didn’t wash her hair for 7 days after the wedding because the curls actually lasted that long. Joe is a literal hair god and such a fun presence to have around on your wedding day, I’m so thankful I found him!! I will never let anyone else touch my hair ever again <3
Joey took care of me (and the entire bridal party) and we were all FLAWLESS. He is unbelievably talented and seriously helps you to find the look that you are aiming for. I’m so gr...
ateful for his help and his vision. Strongly recommend his services. I continue to utilize his services to this day (color and cut) and I sincerely can’t express how awesome he his.
Joseph has become literally my favorite person in the entire world. He is an amazing hair stylist and has such an eye for detail and can literally do anything you ask of him. Since...
meeting him he has also become my hair dresser. He not only does wedding hair, he does cuts, and color too, and has an in home salon and will also travel to your home for services. The day of services he provided for my wedding went perfectly, he did a total of 13 girls including myself and all were so happy with their hair! My hair stayed perfectly throughout the whole night. His packages offer on location touch up services, which I took full advantage of. I did a more traditional look for church which was down with soft curls and then when we arrived to my venue he did a half up half down look with a crystal hair vine twisted throughout. Not only is he amazing at what he does, he’s amazing to be around as well and I could not recommend him more. He is the only hair stylist I have ever used that I have been completely satisfied with each and every time. He totally listens and understands what you are trying to achieve and nails it every single time. I think his name completely fits him, the services he gives you are absolutely luxury, and his prices are fair - you will get more than what you pay for! Thank you Joseph for being part of such a memorable day!
After seeking and having so many hair trials I finally found Hair by Joseph Anthony. He literally blew every hair stylist that touched my hair away. I showed him all the styles I l...
oved and what he created was above and beyond. When he showed me my hair in the mirror I was almost in tears. He also did my entire wedding party and they all looked beautiful. I highly recommend to hire Joey. He’s seriously and artist.
The moment I met Joseph for my trial, I knew he was going to deliver. He has a passion for what he does and level of professionalism that radiates when you talk to him. On the day ...
of, I had HUGE bridal party and Joseph started impeccably cranking people out one after the other at 6am. Everyone was SO happy with their look. As for me, Joseph was next to my side helping with anything he could. He came to my first look to make sure my hair was good during pics, he walked me out and was doing touch ups before I walked down the aisle and then we did a style change for the reception. Not only was his service amazing but he’s just an overall nice person to be around on such an important day! I’d book him over and over again if I could and recommend him to everyone!

y, but was able to keep it professional at the same time. The bridesmaids were able to show him a picture of what they wanted and he was able to recreate the exact look! True talent! The bride wanted a very specific look and Joseph went above and beyond to make sure the bride absolutely loved her hair. Highly recommend!!!
I was very happy with Joseph! Not only did my hair look amazing, me and the rest of the bridal party had a great time! Highly recommended!
He did an amazing job!! He was fast and super friendly. I would book again in a heartbeat!!

Well, let me tell you about Joseph Anthony... he is the first in my many times as a bridesmaid where the whole bridal party had their hair dreams come true. He listened to all of the requests and the results were spot on. He is truly AMAZING. On top of being an exceptional hair stylist, he has the most charismatic personality and is blast to be around. Book him now ladies!
If anyone is looking for a next level hair stylist for their special day, look no further!! Joseph Anthony is an undeniable master of his craft. I have been apart of many weddings ...
throughout the years and have never had service and exceptional quality as this. He makes you feel so comfortable, he is hilarious, and is a true artist. Highly detailed and listened to each bridesmaid/brides request with zero hesitations. His confidence in his craft is so comforting to the dozens of indecisive bridesmaids. I can't say enough good things about his service, let his photos speak for themselves. Thanks again Joe!!!

just with my hair but my entire bridal party. He went out of his way accompanying me though my day/night making sure I looked flawless. The sweetest guy and super down to earth! If only I could rate him 10 stars, he deserves it. Doesn’t get better than Joseph .

e perfect hair color for my skin tone and obviously for my wedding day. He did my hair for my bridal shower, my rehearsal dinner and for my big day. Each time, we decided to do a different look and I was never disappointed. For my trial I showed him a few pictures of what I wanted, and he gave me something I couldn’t have envisioned even if I wanted too. It was AMAZING and my hair on my wedding day stayed the ENTIRE night. He was just such a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Aside from his obvious expertise in what he does, he was snapping pics the whole morning too, of those little moments that probably wouldn’t have been captured otherwise AND managed to do 8 girls’ hair in a few hours and not one person was disappointed. We had compliments the whole night and I couldn’t have been happier! I would absolutely use him again and again and recommend him to anyone! I am sure he realized this by now but I will forever be a client of Joseph Anthony! I don’t think anyone could have provided me with the services he did. I know when I look back on my wedding day; I will always remember how calm I was and how excited I was to get the day going. I don’t believe it would have been possible without him. Thanks for everything Joey! XOXOXO

ile planning my wedding, I knew there was no one I'd rather have by my side “glamorizing” me for the big day than Joseph. He is beyond talented, extremely professional and a true pleasure to be around.
Joseph arrived early the day of my wedding. He was so attentive to what I wanted as a bride as well as to my maid of honor, mother and mother-in-law. He worked so well with everyone and took the time to listen to each one of us. Joseph was so helpful throughout the entire process, I would actually text him pictures and ideas that I had and he would respond back and give me suggestions
My hair was exactly how I pictured it would be for my special day and it stayed in place the entire day and night. The extra added bonus was that he came to my ceremony and touched me up for photos and right before the reception.
Thank you so much Joseph!

d to do my hair, as well as my bridal party’s hair, no ifs ands or buts. 😊
I am a girl who loves to play with her hair and try new things, so from the moment I got engaged, I started to think about how I wanted to wear my hair on the biggest day of my life and all I knew for certain was that my bridal hair had to be big and over the top, but with class and elegance. With Joey, I knew I was in good hands! I looked to the internet for inspiration, showed Joey some pictures of what I liked, and the next few weeks consisted of many phone calls, texts, visits… Joey is more than a hairstylist, he is a friend and a therapist, which are all the things you need during the stressful wedding planning process.
I have medium/long fine hair and to achieve the look I was going for, not only did I have to go blonde, but I also needed more hair. Joey suggested balayage and tape-in extensions and although I was hesitant to do the extensions at first, I went ahead with them and I am so happy I did! After the color transformation and installing the extensions, I had my trial and Joey delivered once again. Not only did he do exactly what I showed him, but he suggested doing a second look, something I would have never thought of myself! For the second look, we knew we wanted to show off my long blonde hair, but I knew that I did not want my hair completely down, so I left it up to Joey. I knew he would not disappoint!
Fast forward to the day of the wedding, Joey came to the hotel where I was staying and did my hair along with 7 other girls in the bridal party, including my mom, mother-in-law, and flower girl. He was so professional and just a fresh breath of air to have around. Each girl wanted a slightly different updo and Joey delivered every single time! They all looked stunning!!! For my pictures and ceremony, Joey did the braided low bun updo that I wanted and nailed it! I could not have asked for anything else but wait, it got better… Joey drove to the venue (even transported my veil to make sure it stayed flawless in the process) and stuck around for hours while we did our reveal, professional photos, and ceremony. He even broke out the curling iron to fix a curl during pictures. Talk about perfection!!! Once the ceremony was over and my guests were enjoying cocktail hour, I snuck back to my bridal suite and Joey did my second look which consisted of taking some of the bun out and leaving long curls hanging down. This style completely blew my mind and I felt like a real-life Barbie doll. At this moment, I realized that Joey listened and paid attention to every little detail discussed over the past weeks and turned my bridal hair dreams into reality. I am convinced he works magic and I am so very grateful to have had him by my side on the biggest day of my life, the stressful weeks leading up to it, and I look forward to all my future visits in his chair.
I recommend him to anyone and everyone, but especially to brides looking for that something extra. He will not disappoint. Joseph Anthony’s services are certainly luxury and luxury sure does speak for itself.
Joey has been doing my hair for years, and when it came time for my wedding, there was no one else for me to consider. Joey did my hair as well as 4 bridesmaids, my mom and sister ...
with poise and professionalism. I was set on having my hair down with a birdcage veil. Joey is incredible at bridal hair, and he has done updo's for me in the past, and I know it may have broken his heart a bit to keep my hair down, but man did he deliver. My curls looked so natural and beautiful, and lasted all night! Joey also clipped my hair back on the side to hold the veil, and then after the ceremony, took the veil out but left the clip. I couldn't have imagined it better myself. Because we are personal friends, Joey came to the church, and the reception with me. He fixed mine and some of my girls hair before and during the reception. Not a single strand was out of place! Every time I am asked for a hair stylist recommendation; cut, color, style, I never hesitate to recommend Joseph Anthony!
From the moment I had my trial I knew he would be amazing! Joe did exactly what I wanted and exactly what my bridesmaids wanted! I received so many compliments on my hair! He was e...
