My wife & I are from Scotland & decided to get married in our favourite city New York. My husband and I are thrilled that we chose Joseph Edwards to do our video. I was always interested in having a videographer, and my husband wasn't as into the idea. Today, he can't be happier we chose to do it, and that Edward was our videographer that day. The final product is stunning, and he was such a special and integral part of our big day. He made everyone laugh and was a ninja throughout the entire process - capturing all the important moments, but never being in the way. We can't thank him enough and would recommend him to anyone.

Although we've only seen our trailer so far, from that short film alone we knew we made the right choice to go with Joseph Edwards to film our wedding. I am counting down the days until we receive our full video, knowing how beautifully he captured our wedding in just a 3 minute video so far. Ed and his staff made me feel so comfortable and beautiful on our wedding day. He helped us customize our video and was such a pleasure to work with. The trailer captured the spirit of our wedding and love for each other. He worked so well with our photographer and did a lot of research on the venue prior to the day.

My husband and I got married last year and we were lucky enough to have Ed Neary shoot our video for our wedding! Both Ed and his team were so professional and the quality of work was incredible - it really looks like a movie! We did both a short trailer and a short film and we were blown away! He is so detail oriented and it really shows - we love how the time lapse portions show the room being set up, people dancing, etc + how the speeches were intertwined throughout the film. He lays on the floor for the shot, climbs on top of stuff, and even goes into the middle of the street for the perfect shot! Even better, when we asked for some MINOR edits, they were done within 24 hours - no questions asked! Ed had known that we had gotten engaged in a fortune cookie and he wanted to do a shot of our rings in the cookie. I remember walking outside to get some fresh air and seeing him and his team on the phone ordering a cookie from the local chinese take-out shop. Since the store couldn't deliver, he sent one of the guys out to pick it up! This is just one example of what he will do for the shot - it is all about the details!! We LOVED the final product, and Ed and his team, and would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for an A++ videographer!

Seriously if you are reading this review don't question yourself.. YES you are making the right decision and I promise you no other videographer will give you the finished product you expect! I am the most annoying person ever when it comes to video and photos. We spent so much money to have a beautiful wedding happen and the only thing I knew I would always have to remember all those crazy details I spent hours on and no one else even noticed is videos and photos. I am from Connecticut and literally contacted every videographer within a 50 mile radius and I am so grateful I found Ed! I found a few videographers that had some amazing trailers(not as good as Joseph Edwards) BUT good enough. My biggest concern was having a wedding video that was as good if not better then my trailer so that's when I digged deep and asked a million questions. Well Ed passed the test. He was so patient and so professional and knew exactly how to lighten me up. He made me feel like my vision and my expectations were possible! Yes he was not the cheapest and we ended up going over our budget for video but let me tell you I do not regret one cent! It was worth every penny! I regret the other stuff that I can only remember now because of my beautiful video! Seeing my trailer for the first time was such a fairytale! Over a year later I still get butterflies! Then I received my hour long video as I requested to please my Albanian in laws and it was beautiful but a little to long for my taste. I spoke to Ed about it and we decided a short video was really what I wanted so Ed worked on a short video for me and I am beyond beyond grateful as the short film was exactly what I had envisioned! He exceeded every expectation I had! I have people that have never met me and somehow they saw my video. They stop me to tell me how amazing our video was. I have friends that went with other videographers and regret it once they got the finished video. They are so beyond disappointed and wish they went with Ed. But at that point it's to late! Do not be one of those people. You only get to document your day once so make sure you use the best! I am so happy I have these amazing videos to share with my family for years to come. Ed you are truly truly the best and I wish I could have you video all our events! Even the little birthday parties ahaha

Ed did the most amazing job with our wedding video. he captured all the moments that touched our hearts from the tears to the laughters. He was very professional but at the same time fun and made it easy for us to be filmed.

Our wedding video by Joseph Edwards is our favorite piece from the wedding. Our video captures so much more than pictures can reveal (even though we love our pictures too!) Our photographer recommended us to Joseph Edwards. We loved how he captured our personalities, our relationship to one another, and the relationships we have with our families and friends. His work is beautiful and highly professional. I love how he overlaid lines from toasts and the ceremony throughout the video. The package we selected included a 4 min trailer, 20-minute video, and the raw footage, which is exactly what we needed for our own keepsake and also to show various people (depending on the audience.) We have received so many compliments about our video. People have said how he captured everything from the day so perfectly… and I can't agree more.

I'm a tough nut to please, I admit it. Not only am I honored to offer this review, but I feel obligated to do so--that's how pleased and appreciative we are with Joseph Edwards Films (JEF). The most difficult part of our wedding was selecting the right videographer who would capture the two of us, our relationship and the emotions and spirit of our wedding day with accuracy and artistry. "JEF" not only met our expectations, but FAR exceeded them. Ed and his team caught our vision immediately. We didn't want "pretty" video, but rather a "documentary" style that speaks to the view "from the inside." JEF accomplished this with a sense of beauty and emotion that is unmatched. The quality of the service and video far exceeded the price we paid. The entire day, beginning with a five-hour shoot at our apartment and throughout NYC's Central Park, was great fun, and revved us up for the ceremony and reception to follow. Today I personally called Ed to thank him for his amazing artistry, having recently received the 26-minute video of the day. And this tough nut actually broke down in tears a couple times during that phone conversation, so grateful am I for capturing the day so well. Honestly, we discovered Joseph Edwards Films by accident, but it was more "destiny." I hope this review will save you, the reader, from endless digging for that perfect videographer, that perfect team, that perfect product that you and your loved ones will cherish for a lifetime!

We hired Joseph Edwards Films for our wedding and have to say that the content that Ed and his team produce are a beautiful array of hidden moments, expressions and emotions that were masterfully crafted into a set of short films. The filming technique used and the editing style of the films themselves are visually stunning and creative. Ed captured all of the fine details and documented the unique aspects of our wedding that can sometimes be missed in still photographs, etc. In fact the quality of the film and uniqueness of the shots are so good that we have used these as still photos to supplement our wedding album. This was the EXTRA added value that made having these films priceless. In watching the film we finally feel like a guest and were able to relive our own wedding. We discovered hidden moments we did not get to see on the day (e.g., audio, movement, expressions from the guests, views/footage taken from different angles, moments that happened before you entered the room - ceremony and reception, etc). In thinking about it, we spent so much money on our wedding that all took place on one day. Now that the wedding has come and gone, we are left with our memories (which are fading), the still photos and a life long investment in our film that captures all of the moments of that special day. Again, I cannot reiterate enough, making the investment in a wedding film and in recommending Joseph Edwards Films. I say this because during the wedding planning phase, we were not really thinking about what we would be left with after the wedding. Now that the wedding is over, we are so glad to have these films! In terms of their working style, Ed and his team were professional, energetic, respectful of our photographer, they were stealth like (you did not know they were there filming) and were relentless in filming every details and in capturing our story. Finally Ed was a pleasure to deal with after the wedding and with any questions and follow up items.

Ed & his crew are nothing but the absolute best! I knew I wanted a film that was classic and really captured our day. Ed did exactly that! Our film catches my husband and I in moments that we didn't even remember happening. They are a pleasure to work with and really let you 'do your thing' on your wedding day. It was great to know that they were filming moments that were just natural and not posed or 'acted'. I absolutely would recommend Joseph Edward Films to everyone! Look no further when choosing a videographer. Joseph Edwards Films is the best of the best! Even my husband who didn't think video was necessary (esp since it wasn't in the budget) was all for it after our first meeting... we left our deposit with Ed on the spot. Ed was awesome to work with from start to finish & he and our photographer were a great team... actually a professional comedy team. Ed was on time the day of the wedding.. professional and most importantly FUN!! Ed and his team captured all of the important moments of the day and they were not intrusive by any means. Ed Neary filmed our wedding on October 20th, 2012 and we now have the most amazing memories on video. Things to know about Ed and his team: 1. They capture all the important moments without being intrusive at all. 2. They create a cinematic quality to their films without being over the top/cheesy. 3. They are responsive, professional, and care about their clients. 4. They have some different film options that can be tailored and fit needs based on budget or creative vision. 5. They are friendly and easy to work with. We felt as though Ed was comfortable with us and our wedding from the moment he walked in. He had a great disposition and was excited to record our wedding day. He went with the flow, did not stress us out and most importantly delivered an amazing product.

Our wedding was on December 28, 2012. When I began looking around for vendors, I didn’t place much importance on finding a videographer, but instead concentrated on photography and décor. I had two important criteria for selecting vendors, the quality of their work, and whether we could get along well. The latter was important because I wanted to our wedding day to be filled with joy and positive energy, and I wanted to select people I would want to spend the most important day of my life with. I should be clear that my husband and I have a definite aesthetic point of view and an appreciation of beauty and quality. We love art and culture, and this informed all of our choices. I had always thought of wedding videos as these musty, boring, endless things that I had always dreaded watching. But then I discovered the world of cinematic wedding films, and I discovered Ed Neary at Joseph Edwards Films. His work has vision, it has an artistic point of view, it has the quality and appearance of a Hollywood film. His work changed my mind about what a wedding film could be, and should be. The wedding film went from being an afterthought to the most important vendor I would choose. I contacted Ed, and from our first communication, I knew that he was the right choice. I was in love with his work, and he came across as a fantastic, joyful, engaging person. An in person meeting confirmed this, and my fiancée (now husband!) and I felt very secure in our choice. Our wedding day was a whirlwind, and Ed and his crew were beyond wonderful. They were somehow everywhere, but never obtrusive. Ed has an effusive energy that fed into the atmosphere of the day, and brought out the best in everyone. As with most weddings, there were some moments of impending disaster, and I might have had a breakdown if not for Ed and his brother John. They went above and beyond just doing a job. About two months after our wedding, we received our highlight video, which was three minutes of absolute brilliance. We looked like movie stars! I felt like I relived my wedding day all over again in the span of three minutes, which is an amazing feat. I had absolutely no doubts that our short film would be wonderful. And it was! Watching the film with my husband and family was such a beautiful experience. Every frame has meaning, every frame works with the other to create this gorgeous, evocative whole. The quality of the cinematography, coupled with Ed’s artistic vision, created something I couldn’t have envisioned when I started searching for a standard videographer. He made it possible to relive and share our memories in a way that is true to us. My husband and I couldn’t be happier with our wedding film, and the opportunity to work with Ed. You rock, Ed!!

The best thing we did was hire Ed Neary to shoot our wedding at the St. Regis Hotel, NYC. Ed is incredibly talented, funny, professional, and just an all around nice, honest, and wonderful person. So many of our married friends warned us that your wedding just seems to go by in a flash and to take a moment at your event and soak it all in. Boy were they right. However, because of Ed and Milestone Video Productions, we were able to relive it all over again together and with our families. We will cherish this forever!!

After 18 months of planning, we got married the week following Hurricane Sandy. On Staten Island. Needless to say, this was a slightly-more-stressful-than-usual event! We had to re-confirm with all of our vendors, and Ed & the crew at Milestone were prompt and quick. "If you're ready, then we're ready. We'll be there!" They were among the first of our vendors to check in with us and were spot-on. The day-of service was excellent, as was the final product. I would absolutely recommend Milestone. My wife and I didn't have much money for our wedding, but Milestone accommodated us. Ed shot our wedding himself and did a great job capturing all of the special moments without being too invasive. He worked around the photographer we hired and tried to stay in the background as much as possible. The finished video was terrific and we especially liked the highlights montage. I don't know how they did it, but they managed to capture the entire day in 3 minutes.

MVP created such an amazing wedding video! Both my husband and I were'nt initially into hiring a videographer. When we finally sat down to watch the video we were so glad we did! Such a joy to work with, hardly knew he was there, no microphones in your face, no interrupting dances or conversations, all while not missing a look, a kiss, the breeze in the air, the smiles and laughter and happy tears. We hired Milestone Video Productions for our wedding and boy are we glad we did. We just sat down to watch our video and were so happy with how it turned out! The only thing we did was send Ed Neary (the founder) the songs we wanted to use for different sections and he did the rest. We wouldn’t change a thing! I also want to stress that Ed was absolutely wonderful to work with. He was VERY responsive to emails throughout the wedding planning process- not all our vendors were. It’s something that was very reassuring to us, especially leading up to the event. He also provided us with the final product on time. The videographer he selected to film our wedding was also wonderful. He was friendly and professional and took great footage. Milestone Video Productions exceeded our expectations tenfold. We met with Ed Neary a year before our wedding date, and booked him immediately after watching some of his work. On the actual wedding day, he and his team did an incredible job making us feel at ease, and also were barely noticeable most of the night. The finished product was so beyond what we could have hoped for. We teared up watching it at some points, and laughed so hard at others; Ed really captured our special day in a way that we can continue to enjoy throughout our future. We showed the video to our friends and family, and their reaction was pretty much the same! When we started planning our wedding, the first vendors we started researching (after booking the venue) were photographers and videographers. We felt like these vendors were particularly important because they were the only ones who would be able to give us something with which we could relive the day over and over again: our album and wedding video. We found and booked our wedding photographer, Anthony Vazquez, first, and he recommended Ed because the two of them work together frequently. I can say without any hesitation that we could not have asked for anything more in a videographer. Ed is incredibly enthusiastic, caring, and he has an awesome ability (and most importantly, an interest) in capturing special emotional moments. When we first met with Ed and saw his sample videos, we immediately knew that we would not have to worry about anything with him in control. Ed was so much fun to be around on the day of our wedding – he was constantly joking and seemed really excited to be there, which was especially meaningful to us since he attends weddings all the time. The energy he brought with him definitely heightened everyone else’s excitement! And, there is pretty much nothing that he would not do to get a great shot – at one point, he was lying on the ground in the middle of the street filming us. Well, his hard work paid off. Not to overstate it, but the video he created for us is incredibly artistic, not just a recap of what happened throughout the day. The shots he and his team captured are remarkable – so many special moments, looks, feelings, all captured in different lighting, angles, styles, etc. He also weaved our chosen songs into the video in ways we couldn’t have imagined; each one adds substantially to the moments captured in the video. Ed also utilized time lapse cameras throughout the day, an effort we really appreciated because of the beauty these shots add to the video. Finally, we should add that after the wedding, Ed was always extremely responsive to our emails and requests. To top it all off, he even stopped by our apartment to surprise us with our final video! You can’t go wrong with Ed!

For my wedding, I used Ed Neary Milestone Video Productions and I was not in the slightest bit disappointed. From the moment I met Ed, I knew that he would capture all of the amazing moments throughout our wedding day and it would be something we would treasure forever. He was amazing and worked hard throughout the day. Many people told me afterwards that they didn't even notice he was there but that they were amazed at all of the wonderful moments he captured. He moved around the room effortlessly and caught each laugh, smile and tear. My favorite part of the whole video was a scene he shot where he caught a tear running down my husband's face as his Best Man (brother) gave his speech. It was the most heartwarming moment. Everytime I watch my video, I get back to that place and remember every single beautiful moment of the day and it's all thanks to Ed and Milestone Video Productions. To any bride who is thinking about hiring a videographer -- do it, and hire Ed Neary at Joseph Edwards. Ed is incredibly talented, professional, and easy to work with. He has an amazing gift for capturing the emotion of the day, and our video is absolutely gorgeous. We look like movie stars! Most of the other vendors that we considered would film the wedding and edit it down to maybe an hour or so of footage, but for us, Ed took all of the most special moments from each part of the day and cut them into a beautiful music-video type short film (about 20 minutes long) that's a blast to watch. My husband and I tear up every time we watch it and are brought back to exactly how we felt on our wedding day. That's the difference with Ed - he will make you a video you will actually watch over and over and enjoy! Ed's techniques are also unique. He uses ambient lighting and mics that are internal to the camera, so there is no bright light or boom mic in your face distracting you from your new hubby. Our guests who called us to rave about how awesome the trailer to our video turned out commented that they didn't even notice that there was a videographer at the event! My sister and mother, who did know that Ed was there, loved him and enjoyed interacting with him during our getting ready shots and throughout the day. I wasn't sure that we needed a video (after I started to realize how much a wedding costs!!), but I fell in love with the samples on Ed's website and was sold after meeting him. He also came very highly recommended from several people. My husband and I loved his personality and felt like he really cared about getting our love story right on film. Looking back, I can't believe that I hesitated. Nothing will bring you back to how you felt on your wedding day like a well done video, and no one makes a better video. He is a true romantic and he came across as such within seconds of meeting him. Edward's first question to us was "How did you two meet?" This took us by surprise because other than family and friends, no one ever asked us that question. He went on to explain that it is essential that we share as much information about ourselves and our love for each other with him so that he can accurately portray our story in a nostalgic 30 to 45 minute film or a 15-20 minute contemporary short film, using moments from the wedding day and select clips of music. I was sold on Edward from that moment and seeing clips from his portfolio of other weddings just validated it. My message to the bridal community is to explore cinematographers like Edward Neary. Edward is one of the most talented people I have ever met. He is a true romantic, visionary and artist. We were planning a fairly elaborate wedding and got in touch with Ed just 3 months before the wedding. He was patient and went above and beyond to accomodate everything we wanted. Ed Neary from Joseph Edwards Film Makers is an amazingly talented man and I will forever be grateful for the evening that our paths crossed. Because of that fateful evening I now am in the possession of one of the most delicately captured and edited films one can imagine. He combined both black and white with color imaging along with 8 millimeter and its an absolute hit! Ed is awesome! We almost didn't use a videographer at all because my parents and in-laws had the antiquated vision of someone showing up with a big camera and lights, forcing a microphone in all the guests faces. I'm so happy my husband and I put our foot down and decided to go with Milestone Video Productions. We met with Ed in Manhattan prior to the wedding to discuss the day and he made us feel completely at ease. The day of the wedding, John showed up early, was a total pleasure to have around - but for the most part, we really didn't even notice he was there! The video was perfect! He managed to capture all the emotions of the wedding and it's really a joy to watch. I 100% recommend Ed and Milestone Video Productions!

Ed and his team are the best! They are a pleasure to work with, helpful and very professional. The crew was amazing at my wedding - they were able to film every single special moment without getting in the way of the party - my guests were very impressed by how unobtrusive they were. Most importantly, the final product, my wedding video, exceeded all possible expectations. It was perfect - Ed really did not miss anything and was able to put it together beautifully. As the mother of the bride,I just want to say that we loved Ed. In fact he did two videos for our family. One that told the "love story" of how the bride and groom met and how all our family members felt about the relationship. Ed spent the day at our home. He was thoughtful throughout the process and gave as much attention to the people who participated at 11:00AM to the last folks at 5:00PM..The final video was amazing and it was huge success at the rehearsal dinner.The wedding video but the same. He was wherever we wanted him. He was on time, professional and put everyone at ease.He was never in the way and he captured the essence of the entire wedding. My Husband and I work in the wedding business so there was no question whatsoever that we would use Joseph Edwards Wedding Filmmakers - the work is PURE ART! Full blown cinematography! Our film is absolutely amazing - Ed Neary managed to capture the most magnificent moments - those times throughout the evening that are priceless - and to capture them while not even realizing the shots are being filmed is truly incredible. The team is fantastic, the editing is flawless and the finished product even more so. We got married in July on a golf course on a beautiful day. Ed was able to capture the summer season mixed perfectly with our love and our families joy. He also saved us from a blah photographer who showed up and expected us to do it all with very little direction. Ed's direction made us laugh and relax so that we can enjoy the day. We have such amazing footage that we'll never forget now. My husband found Ed and I'm so glad he did.

If you want an over-the-top Film maker for your wedding Ed Neary needs to be your first and only call. My dauhter's Film looks like it was done for a Hollywood wedding. Ed and his crew were the BEST that I've ever worked. I highly recommend his company

We were super happy with our final wedding video from Ed Neary at Milestone Video. It seems that some brides choose not to book a videographer after all the expenses of a wedding, but I felt capturing it on video was so important, as the video really let us relive the wedding when we watched it a few months later. And Ed captured so many fun moments we weren't able to be a part of, for example certain moments from our cocktail hour, which we missed much of, and of so many fun moments on the dance floor. Ed managed to capture all highlights of the wedding, and somehow managed to get the majority of our guests too even though we had a 300 person wedding. The final product was wonderful, and included a great wedding soundtrack that he let us choose songs for. Furthermore, his pricing is very reasonable. I'd found in researching vendors, that videographers really ranged in terms or pricing, but Ed's pricing seemed very fair. Ed was also a pleasure to work with, non-intrusive, and captured the full day- from the fun day of getting ready all the way up to cake cutting. I was very very pleased with his services, and def recommend him!

Danielle was our videographer and she was great! She did not interfere with any major moments but was still able to capture everything she needed to. We called them fairly close to the wedding and they were very accommodating. A little pricey but I think that is standard for video.

Ed was such fun to work with from the very beginning! He was so much fun to work with and kept us laughing all day! He was not the annoying camera guy in your face but he made sure to capture the entire day! I definitely recommend Milestone Video Productions!

We haven't seen our video yet, but Milestone Video Productions were great to work with! They were "barely there" to us, but every where according to family members. They were there for all of the important moments and more, but in the background and never in the way! They were fun to work with and i would definitely recommend them!

Ed Neary from Joseph Edwards Filmmakers is unbelievably talented and gifted and I promise he makes the best wedding film one could ever have. Ed prides himself on the process, the editing, the exprience and the end product truly is a touching, tear-jerking film and not just a clumsy or blah video. If you are looking for something special and absolutely fabulous, then Ed is the best person to go to. He's super energetic, super fun to hang out with all day, incredibly happy and easy going - and all of that exhibits itself in the film. The editing, the music he adds to it, what he closes in on, the story he captures - it's really like re-living the whole thing and as though you're watching a real movie. Of course, he'll also give you all the raw footage so you can literally re-live the day - but nothing compares to his movie. My family and I couldn't have been happier and my friends who had already gotten married were super jealous of my film!

Ed has such great energy and creativity. He was calm throughout the whole day yet at the same time so energetic, always looking to get a great shot. At first, I didn't want a videographer as I was skeptical that he/she would just get in the way and be obtrusive. Ed was exactly the opposite and I'm so glad we chose him since the day went by so fast -- I can't wait to see the end product!

Ed was great to work with. Our videographer the day of the wedding we never saw him. Our end result was amazing. He brought a small video camera not big abnoxious ones and again we never noticed him.
