Josh photographed our wedding in October of last year, and I still look through our photos every few weeks!! Working with Josh was such a great experience. Leading up to the wedding, he was easy to get in touch with and asked great questions to understand just what we were looking for. He traveled all the way to NC for our wedding and was so much fun to work with. He was professional and punctual, while also being super engaging and kind. My husband and I don’t consider ourselves to be “naturally photogenic,” but Josh helped put us at ease, and it was such a stress-free, fun experience. He captured such sweet moments with our friends and family that we will treasure forever. Josh is wonderful, and we couldn’t recommend him more !!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Josh as our wedding photographer. He was very personable with us helping us just be ourselves on our wedding day. He is also very professional. He perfectly captured all the poses that my wife and I wanted. I love the warm tones that he incorporates. He made harsh lighting conditions look like a studio photo. He is also very reasonably priced. He has an excellent turnaround. We got our photos back in two weeks! I would recommend Josh from a budget wedding to an all out extravagant wedding.

If I could give Josh 10 stars I would. Professional, communicative, transparent, dedicated, and a perfectionist. From our first phone conversation, I knew Josh wasn’t just passionate about photography but in love with capturing the moment and seeing his clients happy. He worked tirelessly to capture our day… to the point we had to pull him into a seat to have his meal! We had a 200+ wedding in LA County, and between Josh and Jonah, they definitely captured each and every special moment. You will not be disappointed!

He did our maternity photos and they were so beautiful! more than I had ever dreamed.He gives great direction, but also is perfect when capturing those sweet , in between, REAL moments . Working with Josh for our wedding was truly such an amazing experience! He is such an enthusiastic and genuine person, and it’s so evident that he loves what he does. Josh was a superstar photographer! We were so happy with the results and we had so much fun with him! Josh does a great job of making a couple feel comfortable and he will also do anything for a great photo ( we climbed to the roof of a building ). He captured us so well and the photos felt like US. Josh photographed our wedding in 2021. Not only did he take stunning photos of my husband and me, but he also was the life of the party! He broke it down on the dance floor with the rest of the guests. He was easy, breezy, organized, and responsive. Josh listened to the vibe I had in mind and over-exceeded my expectations--and I am a picky girl. He brought the vision of my wedding photos to light, while also not being afraid to boss around the difficult family members during portraits. He is the BEST! Cannot recommend enough.

Josh+Pine took our one year anniversary photos. and let me begin by saying it was the funnest two hours of my life. We went to the Ventura harbor and beach and he took an everyday place and transformed it into a daydream before our eyes, with a golden hour sent from above. Josh is not only an incredibly talented, gifted, kind, creative young man: but, the kind of person who can instantly become your best friend and make you feel like sunshine. Josh’s work is beyond creative and unlike any other. He honestly captures the most authentic real pictures that shows the true moment which is so much fun. looking through our gallery i can remember of second, every touch, and every kiss from my husband all because of Josh. thank you Josh, you are fantastic.

Josh was one of the our favorite vendors from our special day. He brings in such a good vibe, so much positivity, creativity, and passion. He is very professional and adapts to any and every situation. We had a heavy storm the day of our wedding and yet he took the best pictures of our first look in the rain. All with a smile on his face. He also knows how to coordinate bridal party photos and family photos very well. He’s a joy work with!!

My fiancé and I did our engagement shoot with Josh and had the best experience ever! He was super proactive, thoughtful & personable from the get-go and we absolutely loved his philosophy of capturing people in their most natural moments. He was also extremely passionate about his work and because he was just having so much fun during the process, we were also able to relax and enjoy the experience very early on in the shoot as well. We sometimes wished we were the ones holding the camera so that we can capture him climbing up on the rocks, getting excited and going the extra mile to get the best shot! The result of this was a FANTASTIC roll of pictures that captured us in our very candid moments. These were not only beautiful but also reminded us of our 2 hours+ of fun in the desert and we truly loved them. We are soo thankful that he was available to help photograph this special milestone and honestly, if we weren’t living > 8000 miles away, we would’ve also booked him as our Wedding Day photographer in a heartbeat!! 🥰

There is no better photographer! Anyone can take a good photo, but Josh gives a flawless experience. After the ceremony, Josh, in a-type personality, took charge and organized our families and wedding party during the photos. And for the first time in 6 months, the bride and I were able just to sit back and enjoy the moment with our families and friends.

When beginning the search for our wedding photographer I knew one thing... This was not something I wanted to skimp on. Having a background in photography myself and knowing the value of good photos made this my #1 most important vendor I would be booking for my wedding. What I didn't realize at the start of this search was also how important it is to connect with your photographer and choose someone who you both feel comfortable with. All I can say is that if you are looking for a photographer you would be a fool to not book Josh! He's got that good energy you want around you on your big day that will keep you feeling calm, cool, and having fun amidst the chaos. Not only is he an exceptional photographer with insane talent, he's kind, helpful, fun, and becomes a true friend. I recommended him to our best friends who also booked him for their wedding and will continue to recommend him. Our photos turned out absolutely beautiful and we will cherish them forever. We also had an engagement shoot with him that turned out stunning as well. From his gifted eye, understanding of lighting and how he plays with it to give you a variety of different vibes within one day, to his ability to create so much movement and emotion you can FEEL in a photo- there's simply no one better. We didn’t want forced or posed feeling photos. We wanted artistic, romantic, and beautiful photos and that is totally what we got. I’ve said this many times now, he’s our photographer for life! Josh was phenomenal! He photographed a mutual friend’s wedding and I knew I wanted him to photograph mine as well. Josh is so personable and blended right in during our wedding. He is precise and lined everything up perfectly. He was so kind and made the picture process so smooth and effortless. He definitely made our day even more perfect. I saw someone in their review say, “Josh is hired for life”- and I 1000% agree! I found Josh on Wedding Wire and he was really responsive and reasonably priced. I looked up his work and it’s GORGEOUS. Booking him was a no-brainer honestly. He suggested the engagement shoot, explaining that it gives us a chance to meet before the wedding. Let me tell you, book the engagement shoot!! It was so nice to meet him before the wedding and not just the day of. We met at a place in Malibu that was so beautiful. My husband and I immediately liked Josh and his energy. We were kind of apprehensive because we’ve never done a shoot together, but within the first few minutes Josh made us feel so comfortable and safe, he hyped us up and really gave us confidence. The engagement photos beautifully captured our love for each other and our playful spirits. The turnaround time for the photos was quick and they are incredible. We used them for our Save the Dates! The day of the wedding, Josh was so organized and did such an amazing job capturing the energy of the day and our love for each other once more. He captured the love of our family members and seriously, looking at the photos I feel like I get to relive the day over and over. Josh is very organized, very responsive, and just a great guy. Josh is hired for life! He absolutely is the best at what he does. Not only did he capture beautiful pictures, he became part of the family. Josh's work never fails to amaze me! We just received our full wedding day gallery and we are BLOWN away (I'm not surprised). Josh photographed our micro wedding and he was so amazing! Throughout the whole process, he was able to work with us about what we wanted and was so understanding of our circumstances. Josh is someone who I have been able to work with many times. He has done individuals, portraits and our engagement and wedding photos. Through all of the shoots he has gone above and beyond to make sure our photos are exactly our vision. They end up being 5x better than I could even imagine. Not only is he gifted in what he does, but so personable and fun to work with! He makes every experience a blast. His attention to detail is insane! This was THE best photoshoot experience I have EVER had. I never know what to wear in a casual photoshoot so Josh sent me some inspo pictures that helped SO much! Josh made the atmosphere super fun! He put on some music and directed us in a way I've never experience before; it was awesome! He made my boyfriend and I feel really comfortable in front of the camera and his reactions to every shot made it even better! The positive affirmations made us grow more confident with each captured photo (and it shows in the finished digitals lol). Thank goodness we caught him on a slow day, because the turnaround time to get the final digitals was only a few hours! I love how passionate he is about his work. Him using his free time to get these photos back to us as soon as possible meant the world to us! Now don't get me started on these photos.. When I first saw the sneak peeks on his instagram (@captivatexphoto) my eyes WATERED. I couldn't stop staring at all of these beautiful moments captured of my boyfriend and I. Josh did couple photos for my boyfriend and I. And not only are the pictures gorgeous!!!, but we genuinely had the best time taking them. He is a sincere and genuine person who takes pride in his work and loves those that he’s working with. He helped my husband and I so much during the pandemic when our wedding was such an uncertainty. Like many other couples our wedding was not as planned due to Covid 19. But through it all Josh was an incredible photographer! I had gotten Covid two weeks before our wedding so we had to cancel the Big Celebration but still got married this past October! Josh was so eager to help us in anyway possible and we just took our wedding photos about three weeks ago! He was an incredible energetic photographer and really made the session feel natural and brought back all the feelings we had and more on our wedding day! I would 1000% recommend him to anyone for any kinds of photos you are looking for!

When our wedding plans were changed at the last second, Josh was willing and ready to make our day perfect. Of all the elements of our elopement, the photos were the one area that we did not want to skimp on. Josh provides the highest quality of product with amazing speed in finishing the editing process. I am convinced that Joshua Scott is a photography wizard. He keeps the mood light with music and conversation, making sure everyone is comfortable. I’ve been doing sessions with Josh since i was a freshman in college, and had the honor of having him as the photographer at my wedding.
