I’m Josh Guth, your Minnesota Lifestyle/Documentary style Wedding and Dark and Moody Boudoir/Implied Nude photographer! Whether it’s your entire wedding or an hour session, my objective is to make your experience in front of the camera as comfortable and f*cking awesome as possible! I pride myself in using poses that look natural and candid with a strong focus in capturing true emotion. Nothing is more important to me than the real you! If you’re goofy and awkward, I want to capture it, if you’re so crazy in love with your significant other, I want to see it shine!
You should have as much fun as possible and not have to worry about anything else!
My Wedding Day Approach
Bride + Groom Poses
You don’t need to worry about poses! I use poses that look natural and candid, making sure you are paying more attention to each other rather than the camera that’s a few feet away from you. Your wedding day should show the connection between you and your partner, not catching an emotionless photo.
Bridal Party Poses
During your bridal party portraits, I’m your hype man! I’m going to make them cheer for you, hug you, show all the love. The goal is for everyone to participate in your big day and continue to be there for you! I also ENCOURAGE out-of-pocket poses and ideas from your bridal party! Anything to keep the mood happy and fun!
The Rest of the Day
During the other parts of your wedding day, I take a documentary approach. I hang out in the background and capture real moments. I try to get at least one photo of everyone at your wedding.
Your wedding is about you and your partner. You should enjoy your day, live in the moment and not have to worry about those moments not getting captured.

Hey! I'm Josh, owner and photographer at Josh G Photography!
Here's a little about me:
I proposed to my wife in 2021, in front of a lighthouse in Cape Elizabeth, Maine and we got married in New Prague, MN in 2023! My wife and I love to travel and bring out kayaks to head out on the water whenever we get the opportunity.
I grew up with Harry Potter, Pokémon, and horror movies and can talk about these topics all day. My current total listening time on Audible is 2 months, 10 days, 22 hours, and 54 minutes (I love me some audio books.) And my favorite type of food would probably be Mexican or Tex-Mex!
What brings me to wedding photography?
I am a very, I guess, nostalgically sensitive person, which is why I love photography so much. The ability to look at an image taken years ago and suddenly remember everything that happened leading up to that photo, can bring such a powerful emotion that it stops you in your tracks. I am here for that emotion. I want my photographs to bring on the waves of joy, eagerness, nostalgia, the first look anticipation and happiness that you're marrying your best friend. When I take a photograph, emotion is what I'm here to capture.
