I found Josh through one of my best friends who had him at her wedding in May of 2023. At her wedding, I was immediately blown away and knew that I was going to reach out to him for mine and my husband's wedding. Our guests absolutely LOVED Josh!!!! He is so talented!!! I loved the versatility of being able to have live music during our dinner and a DJ later on in the night. He also said a few words prior to our speeches to get everyone's attention and it was amazing how he had all of our guests very engaged!!!

Josh was the DJ for our wedding. He is INCREDIBLE. He played guitar for our ceremony, dinner, first dance, and private last dance, including learning several songs we requested in under 2 weeks. When attending a wedding 15 years ago, what stuck out to me most and made the wedding so unique was the acoustic live music. Ever since then I had dreamed of having this at my wedding. He made the wedding reception/dinner/dancing so much fun with his energy and he has an amazing voice. I still have so many people reaching out saying how great he was and if they can get his contact information. He also learned a song for one of our first dances in a couple weeks. On top of all of this you'd think he'd be a fortune to book, but he is more than reasonable.

Josh is the life of the party! The man sings like an angel and also throws the best dance party once he gets behind his DJ booth. He sang live for the ceremony - including when we walked down the aisle, the cocktail hour, dinner, for our first dance, and for our very last dance of the night. Once the sun set, he got behind the DJ booth and turned up the dance floor. Our guests were IN LOVE with him and could not say enough nice things about him. He made our day so so memorable and so fun.

I really don’t even know where to start or have the words to describe how perfect hiring Josh for our wedding weekend was. I wanted something fun and different for music for our ceremony and after looking at all options I couldn’t get the elegance and calmness of Josh’s voice and music out of my head. He did a phenomenal job and we could not have been happier. We had so many compliments on him at our wedding, and one of guests actually booked him for another event after hearing him at our wedding (we attended that event too and he was amazing!). Communication was great and everything was easy to coordinate. We had a last minute change of venue for the reception due to an A/C issue, and Josh was able to get set up in the new space without a hitch. During the reception, he was so high energy and definitely made our guests have a good time. If we ever have another event that requires music, Josh will be our first call.

I 100% recommend hiring Josh for you next special event. The first time I heard Josh sing, was at my friends wedding in 2020. I remember sitting in the pew waiting for the ceremony to start just mesmerized by his beautiful singing. We had Josh play/sing before our ceremony, during cocktail hour, and again for our first dance. He made everything so special not only for us, but for our guests too. We've had so many friends and family members compliment his performance and how our wedding was the best wedding they've been to. We definitely couldn't have done it without Josh. Josh was AMAZING! I had been told about him by my wedding venue and I'm so glad I listened. He does everything you need and does it extremely well. He sang for the ceremony and cocktail hour (in the June Austin heat) and was an awesome DJ during the reception. He has all the equipment he needs and sets it all up himself. Josh sang our first dance song and it made so special for us. Not only is he a great singer and guitarist but such a sweet person with so much love in his heart. HIRE HIM, you won't regret it.

Booking Josh to perform at our wedding and DJ in the evening really made our wedding day. In meeting Josh he immediately got who we were as a couple. He suggested some great songs he could play for us at the ceremony and for our first dance. This gave a really personal touch and showed from the off that he really cared that he wanted to make our day special. His voice is fantastic and he sang for an incredible amount of time, singing hits after hits during the first part of the wedding. One thing we weren't expecting was the Josh as an MC. He introduced the speeches and gave a few words about us as a couple. We were really not expecting this and his choice of words were as if he had known us for years. In fact some of our friends asked us how long we had been friends with him! And to top it off, Josh's ability to read the room and get people dancing in his DJ set was fantastic. He was always keen to jump down from his DJ booth to get people dancing and show us his moves. And he was able to read the room choosing songs that would get people back on the dancefloor. Josh really made our wedding special and we are so glad we booked him. We would book him again, again and again.

tl;dr - Stop looking for other entertainment vendors and just book Josh. Just do it. Hell, book your entire wedding around him - he's worth it! I found Josh in a roundabout way. I was looking for a signage vendor, and one vendor I was interested in had Josh perform at her own wedding. After looking at a few videos, I was VERY intrigued. I had already reached out to a handful of DJs, but I knew that the combination of acoustic performance + DJ services would be perfect for our wedding. This is also very unique, from what I can tell, and helps bridge the gap between a typical DJ and a full-on band, the latter of which may not be desired for certain reasons, including budgetary ones. Josh responded quickly and after a phone call, we were all set. He was extremely amenable to our need to reschedule our wedding due to F1 (boo!), which we really appreciated. As wedding time approached, he was very responsive and helpful in terms of both guiding us in making any final entertainment decisions, but also listening to what we were looking for. On the day of the wedding, from our perspective, everything went perfectly. Josh performed acoustic for our pre- and post-ceremony cocktail hours, as well as for the processional and dinner. He then DJ'd our first dances and the reception. He also provided MC services throughout, and he did so with aplomb. He brings a spectacular energy to the dancefloor, which we loved because we had a more "elder millennial" crowd who needs more liquid courage to get the dance moves going. I can't tell you how many people complimented Josh to us on the night of the wedding and afterward - he has been, by far, the most reviewed vendor we had. He is also just really nice and really fun, which is important for a wedding team. SO... just do it! Book Josh! You won't regret it and your wedding will be better for it!

Josh was the perfect sound track to our fairytale wedding. He has one of the most beautiful voices, an extensive song list and learned a few new songs for our big day. He went above and beyond sending us a few custom recordings of our First Dance song to practice to as we took dance lessons. I found Josh’s music through Instagram a few years ago and knew I wanted him to perform at my wedding when the day finally came. He was an absolute breeze to work with leading up to the wedding, and then perfectly set the mood for the entire day of. He was relaxed but also full of energy, was calming and truly felt like a friend my husband and I had known for years. Our guests were coming up to us all night and reached out for weeks afterwards to inquire about who this incredible artist was. He made our special day perfect, and I cannot recommend him enough.

If you don't book Josh Klaus for your wedding...or any event for that matter.... you are missing out and whoever you choose will absolutely not be as good as him! :) His music, his voice, his personality, and most of all, his heart, completely made our wedding day and we could not be more grateful. While I loved all of our vendors, Josh really sticks out and we still have tons of our friends and family talking about how great he was and how much they enjoyed hearing him play throughout the night. His talent is beyond impressive and he has a heart of gold that really shows. I am forever a Josh Klaus fan and will definitely be coming back to Austin to hear him play!

Punctuality, Personality, Professionalism? ALL CHECK!! As the Groom, I thought I was going to be the one holding myself in one piece but turned out to be me who bursted in tears as soon as Josh started singing our song. Josh requested to meet me and my wife before the wedding in person so we could go over the plan and also just to get to know us and our story. His voice is, in my best words, touching. I can't describe it any better. He made sure that everything went smoothly and communicated with our Vendor, prepared extra mics at our request and it was the best day of our lives! Get him if you can, you won't regret it.

Josh did a wonderful job at our Wedding last weekend (12/10/2022). He went above and beyond as a Singer and DJ. He did a wonderful job keeping our guest engaged all night. Josh is incredible. We heard him 4 years ago playing at the W Hotel in Austin. We asked our waitress what radio station they had on, and she pointed outside to Josh. My husband grabbed his card, and 4 years later, Josh was one of the first people we reached out to when we started planning our wedding. Josh was responsive, collaborative, creative, and beyond supportive of our dream ceremony and cocktail hour. Josh created custom acoustic versions of 2 EDM songs for me and my husband to walk down the aisle to - there wasn't a dry eye in the house. He also DJ'd the perfect set list for our cocktail hour - we heard him DJ'ing while taking formal photos in front of our venue and were jealous that we were missing out. Josh was amazing! His voice and talent are incredible! Our guests still talk about him to this day! Josh was truly the best! The ambience he set was incredible. I almost cried the moment I heard him begin rehearsing for our ceremony. Nothing cuts to the heart like live vocals and a guitar on your wedding day :). I loved working with him. He was so flexible, responsive, authentic, open-minded, and present. I came across Josh on Instagram and was very interested in his ability to sing wonderfully, MC, and DJ... checking off all our wishes for our big day. A few weeks later my husband and I went to see Josh preform at a local restaurant and realized we had to have him at our wedding. I was drawn to Josh for his live music ability, and we ended up booking him for our ceremony and reception. Best decision ever! I had a hard time tearing myself away from the dance floor even to go get water. My husband, who is normally more reserved and hesitant to dance, was dancing most of the night and had the time of his life. Josh sang our last song, and it was one of the most magical moments of the whole evening. He knows how to work his audience and also looks like he's having the time of his life too the whole time! He's also flexible to weird requests - ended up playing an Irish song so my cousin could spontaneously do a jig for everyone on the fly, to everyone's delight. I felt like he read my mind and made the most personalized party experience I could imagine. Incredible night, 11/10 would hire again!!

Wow! I had 2 different people recommend Josh to me for my wedding day and he definitely did not disappoint! Josh was super easy to work with and exceeded our expectation on the day of. The thing I enjoyed most about Josh was that he provided the best of both worlds - live music during the ceremony and cocktail hour and DJ during the reception. Josh is absolutely amazing! He is incredibly communicative and will put you at ease about anything wedding related, not just music. We hired Josh played our ceremony and cocktail hour and I wish he could've played the whole night. I had some obscure song requests and without hesitation Josh jumped in and said "absolutely, I'll learn Sk8r Boi. No problem". When we think of the most important parts of our day, we hear your music in the background and it brings us so much joy. Josh Klaus was so amazing! Having him at our wedding was the thing my husband and I were most excited for. I first heard him at a venue open house and immediately took my then fiancé to hear him play at another gig. Booked Josh as quick as I could after that! We had him play guitar for our cocktail hour/first dance/last dance and DJ for the ceremony/reception. Having live music played for you first and last dance are just beautiful. To choose our music and have everything go smoothly he sent us a google form to send out a few weeks before the wedding. He was always very responsive by email. Now that our wedding is over our favorite thing to do is go around Austin and hear him play at different venues.

Where do I even begin. We planned our wedding from afar (we are not local to Austin) and I depended on reviews to book our vendors so it is very important to me to give Josh a stellar review. Our wedding would not have been our DREAM wedding without him there. I actually just realized I have not spoken to a single wedding guest yet who hasn’t told me “your DJ was the best wedding DJ I have ever seen.” But seriously everyone loved this guy. I felt like Josh was a part of our friend group who just happened to have the voice of an angel, incredible music taste and was also the life of the party. His acoustics are out of this world good, but his personality is even better. Our wedding party has a group text and is already talking about the next time we can all get together and invite Josh, haha! We gave him several bands/artists that we liked and he curated the most perfect playlist for our wedding. We sang and danced our hearts out all night long and Josh joined us out on the dance floor as well which our guests LOVED. I seriously cannot recommend him more, a review really doesn’t even do him justice. He’s just an incredible guy and musician, and by far our favorite vendor by a landslide. Josh is an incredible vocalist and musician. But he’s not just that. He’s a great entertainer, a really sweet guy, and he knows how to read the room, start the party, and keep it going! He played acoustic music at our wedding and also was the DJ for the reception. We got so many comments from our guests about how much they loved the music. We booked Josh because we were looking for a live musician that was talented in both vocals and acoustic guitar, and not solely just a DJ. And let me tell ya, he is beyond talented! He nailed every cue and made our vision for coffeehouse vibes come to life. Josh is easy to work with and makes your big day special in ways you wouldn’t expect - he took it upon himself to intro our toasts with a few words on the importance of them, and even gave his own small cheers to us! Probably our favorite vendor we worked with. Josh's personality makes it hard not to like him and he killed it as MC/DJ/musician. Seriously does it all! We found him because we wanted a mix of live music and DJ and our coordinator recommended him. It is honestly such an affordable choice when you add up ceremony music, then cocktail hour, then reception. The #1 thing that comes up after our wedding is how great the music was. One guest even said, "Did that guy ever take a break?!" because he was so integral for every major thing at our wedding. Don't even think about it and book Josh. Josh was amazing! We heard him play live and immediately knew we wanted him to play as we walked down the aisle, through our cocktail hour, and our first dance. If you haven't heard his acoustic versions of some of your favorite early 2000s's songs, you're missing out. He was great - suggested songs, learned our first dance song, and overall was a positive spirit to have on our day.

First, I think all couples should have live music for their ceremony and cocktail hour. Second, I think all couples should also hire Josh for this! He has literally the voice of an angel and so many of our guests told us that his singing made our ceremony. He was extremely responsive, even when I changed my mind a million times about songs, he was always on top of things. He made our ceremony and cocktail hour so special with the music that he played for us. He is a great guy all around and an even better musician.

I can't say enough good things about Josh! He played our ceremony and our cocktail hour. The guests kept coming up to me telling me how good he was. We booked Josh a little less than a year in advance for our wedding. Josh was everything we could’ve asked for and more! Josh handled all the logistics behind the ceremony (played guitar as people came in, brought microphones, etc.). He then played during the cocktail hour and then handled our entire reception. He DJ’d and played acoustic based on our favorite genres/a few selected songs. Josh even personalized a couple songs on the guitar based on our likes and interests. It was a perfect mix of sweet/traditional wedding songs and songs that had everyone on the dance floor. Almost the entire guest list was on the dance floor at the same time! Josh was obviously a crowd favorite. Our guests are still raving to this day about how Josh was the best performer they’ve ever seen at a wedding. Would reach out to Josh as soon as possible if you’re interested! You will not regret it.

We hired Josh to play music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception (DJ). When looking for a musician, we did not want a typical wedding DJ or band. We wanted someone who did events other than weddings. Josh caught my attention because I saw he played shows around the city at different bars and restaurants. I then listed to some of his YouTube videos of him playing and I was sold (so good)! It was such a great decision! From the get go he was very organized and thoughtful. He provided a questionnaire asking us all of the details around music for our big day. We also had a phone chat with him where we got to know him more and discussed the details of our music needs. He showed up to our wedding and was a very warm and bubbly presence. Our wedding was planned to be all outside and it happened to start pouring rain minutes before our ceremony start time. Everyone rushed to shelter and we ended up having to shift around the schedule to wait out the rain. It was a bit chaotic at first, but Josh rolled with the punches and just kept playing music with a smile on his face, keeping everyone calm and happy. For the reception we told him we wanted a middle school dance vibe and he 100% delivered. Everyone at the wedding could not stop talking about how great of a musician he was and how fun it was to hear him DJ. Even after the wedding people kept telling us how great he was! We had so much fun and loved all of the music Josh played. He even learned our first dance song so he could play it acoustically and it was perfect. I would highly recommend Josh for all of your wedding musical needs!

I LOVE Josh and so did every single one of my guests! We got too many compliments on him to even count! In fact, someone snagged him up for another event while they were at my wedding. He was an awesome MC, DJ and even sang all of our special dance songs (mom/groom, daddy/bride, first dance, etc) and sang during cocktail hour. Josh was the best thing we did for our wedding! Josh Klaus is hands down one of the best decisions you can make while planning your wedding! Josh has great reviews and seems to be really well known in Austin (we aren't from Austin), but you're never sure if someone will live up to the hype. We were BLOWN AWAY by Josh throughout the process. He was down to meet with us while we were in town a few months before the wedding and really took care to customize his approach in a way that captured my husband and I as a couple. For example, we love listening to vinyl at home and it's always a fun activity when we host people at our house. Josh came up with the idea that during dinner, guests could come up and choose records from our own collection - he even brought his record player and hooked it up to his system. People have not stopped raving about how fun that was! Josh was also happy to learn songs for us - his rendition of In a Week by Hozier was incredible. Some people didn't realize it was a cover - that is how good he is! The bottom line is that Josh's energy and performance elevated our day from start to finish - I know he set the tone as soon as guests arrived and then guided everyone through our happy hour and dinner. By the time it was time to dance, you better bet he was out there with us for a couple songs! We've had several people from the wedding reach out for Josh's info - so you know that his performance really stuck with everyone! If we ever have the opportunity to work with Josh again, we'll jump at the chance! Thank you Josh!!

Not much else to say, but WOW! Initially, we hadn't intended on having a live musician, but now (even a month after the wedding), our friends & family keep mentioning how great Josh was! We had him setup to begin playing during eating, which didn't give him much of a crowd, but he rocked it. Then by the dances, Josh was a major focal point of the festivities! 2 things I enjoyed most about Josh (Aside from his actual singing/playing): 1. His ability to transition between songs seamlessly. We piped his playing throughout the whole venue & I couldn't find any moments when there were awkward pauses. At one point, I thought someone with phenomenal music taste had switched out the playlist being played on the Spotify. 2. His ability to incorporate what he had heard from the speeches into random ad-libs & transitions. My parents & best man got a few good jabs in (and some compliments) & Josh was able to incorporate them and give the audience a good laugh.
