We had no idea that you could get the best of both worlds - live music and a DJ set - in one vendor, but we came across Josh and the rest was history. It was important to us that our musician understood the vibe throughout the whole day, as we are not a particularly "dance-y" couple and didn't want anything to feel forced. Josh's ability to set the right tone at every step of the way us unparalleled: from soothing and romantic vocals before the ceremony, to a beautiful "pre-speeches" speech, to an upbeat DJ set that kept our most energetic guests wildly entertained, the vibe was perfect the whole day. Something to especially highlight is how he played a mix of songs that got both older and younger crowds on the dance floor; we loved looking over and seeing guests of all ages having a great time. Plus, he'll learn any song acoustically that you want for an extremely nominal fee, so we asked him to learn our processional song, which was absolutely beautiful. On top of all of his skills, he's also just a blast to be around and SO responsive - we actually thought the response we got from him when we first submitted an inquiry was automated because the turnaround was so fast! We received so many compliments about Josh, and we are so grateful he made the night as enjoyable for our guests as it was for us!

First of all, he is truly so talented and a joy to work with. His acoustic set for happy hour and for part of the dinner service was stunning. I could not recommend Josh enough for your wedding, or any event really. He is such a personable guy and amazing musician. We asked him to come to our New Orleans wedding after hearing him at a friend's Austin wedding. Josh felt like a wedding guest and vendor at the same time, in the best way! Both his acoustic set and DJ set are amazing, we got so many compliments from guests. My husband and I felt like he played the perfect DJ set personalized to us, but also played songs to please the crowd, while also respecting our requests (no line dances, etc). He had everyone dancing all night, and he even joined the dance floor at one point! We could not recommend him enough if you are looking for your music to be one of the most memorable parts of your wedding. He was also very easy to work with leading up to the wedding, organized, responsive, but also easy to arrange his requests. We love Josh!

Josh was one of the highlights of our Oct. 2023 wedding in San Antonio. We booked him for his acoustic set and was very easy to communicate with. Ahead of our small outdoor ceremony, we shared our vision on music ahead of, during, and following our ceremony. We appreciated his transparency on a few pieces we wanted for the ceremony that he could not play live but accommodated with recordings of 2 particular songs. So many guests complimented him and the range of music he played during the happy hour. Our celebration did not include a dance floor, but he looks like he can seamlessly transition to an awesome DJ!

Daniel added a great element to our wedding!! Not only did he DJ the dance party after dinner but provided live piano and vocals during the ceremony and cocktail hour. He has a fantastic voice and was fun to have at the wedding. Daniel was helpful in live music song selection as we just wanted a fun vibe but weren't quite sure what to do. Having the combination of live music with a DJ was a perfect fit for our wedding vision and budget.

This is the DJ you want, I'd book him while you can! The City of Austin Director of Music recommended him and now we know why. He made the wedding reception/dinner/dancing so much fun with his energy and he has an amazing voice. He ticked all the boxes and does it on his own: Plays music, sings, DJs, MCs, sets up in multiple locations, and just brings amazing energy to the event. I still have so many people reaching out saying how great he was and if they can get his contact information. He also learned a song for one of our first dances in a couple weeks. On top of all of this you'd think he'd be a fortune to book, but he is more than reasonable.

Josh is the life of the party! The man sings like an angel and also throws the best dance party once he gets behind his DJ booth. He sang live for the ceremony - including when we walked down the aisle, the cocktail hour, dinner, for our first dance, and for our very last dance of the night. Once the sun set, he got behind the DJ booth and turned up the dance floor. Our guests were IN LOVE with him and could not say enough nice things about him. I really don’t even know where to start or have the words to describe how perfect hiring Josh for our wedding weekend was. I wanted something fun and different for music for our ceremony and after looking at all options I couldn’t get the elegance and calmness of Josh’s voice and music out of my head. He did a phenomenal job and we could not have been happier. We had so many compliments on him at our wedding, and one of guests actually booked him for another event after hearing him at our wedding (we attended that event too and he was amazing!). Communication was great and everything was easy to coordinate. We had a last minute change of venue for the reception due to an A/C issue, and Josh was able to get set up in the new space without a hitch. During the reception, he was so high energy and definitely made our guests have a good time. If we ever have another event that requires music, Josh will be our first call.

I 100% recommend hiring Josh for you next special event. The first time I heard Josh sing, was at my friends wedding in 2020. He sang for the ceremony and cocktail hour (in the June Austin heat) and was an awesome DJ during the reception. He has all the equipment he needs and sets it all up himself.
