When we set out to find the perfect photographer for our destination wedding, we had no idea we would stumble upon one of the most skillful, artistic and creative photographers. Photography is a true art form, the ability to create an image that speaks to the viewer about the setting, emotions and character of the event. Josh not only captivates his audience with true beauty, he does so in the most romantic and storied fashion. He exemplifies the very essence of perfection; capturing the hearts and minds of his clients. We learned early on in the process that to capture the right moment, the photographer must be able to cleanly, articulately and commandingly convey exactly what everyone needs to do. With the size of wedding parties, destination backgrounds and other ancillary factors impacting the shot, Josh proved he was a true leader and moved all the personalities and pieces like a fine-tuned ballet. He even took control of our vendors to make sure he reached perfection with every snap; his direction and guidance during the shoots proved his true ability to command the authority and leadership to get the job done. One of the most important traits in capturing the imagery is the ability to do so in an artistic way. When we received our preview link to begin the process of choosing photos, we were mesmerized and emotional at how Josh was able to convey this trait. With each click of the mouse, our hearts filled with joy and our eyes teared with emotion. Placing us in positions and backdrops that we never imagined…. needless to say, each image conveys the perfect story and portrays unparalleled beauty. He is a true artisan and has crafted some of the best photographs we have ever seen of ourselves. Meeting Josh for the first time, it became evident to both of us that he not only genuinely enjoys his work, but he relishes in the personal connections he forms with all his clients and their friends. This is one of the most important “ah – ha” moments we have taken away from the process. Why you ask??? I haven't received my wedding photos yet, but my engagement photos were fabulous.

I cannot even begin to say how incredible it was to work with Josh. About 4 years ago, I came across Josh’s website and my husband and I both agreed to make a “mental note” of Josh for when we get married. His work speaks for it’s self and completely embodied our style. So effortless and candid looking. Just from his pictures, I knew Josh was going to hopefully, someday be amazing to work with. When we had gotten engaged and began the wedding planning process, I called and spend a good hour and a a half on the phone with him. It was so great to talk to someone who has such a strong passion for what they do. About an hour later, I set up an appointment, we meet him and were even more positive this was going to be our photographer. Leading up to the wedding, he was sooo wonderful. He got back to me so quick and was on top of everything. We did our engagement session and we had so much fun! Even better, the photos turned out INCREDIBLE. My husband and I were so amazed to watch him in his “element”. Again, someone who LOVES what they do, and it show in his pictures. The wedding day came and it was the best day of our life's. Josh was able to capture the feelings and emotions that we were all feeling. That was exactly what we wanted, he delivered that and so much more. It is impossible to not have fun with Josh. He feels like a good friend and everyone who sees our wedding pictures is so taken back with how amazing they are. If you are on the fence, don't be... Josh is the best!
