Joshua is absolutely the one.
We found Joshua online and noticed he had so many great reviews—and after working with him, we completely understand why. From the very beginning, Joshua came across as warm, passionate, and genuinely caring. We had a Zoom meeting to discuss our needs, and since we weren’t very familiar with the ceremony process, he patiently walked us through everything step by step. It was immediately clear that he truly knows his craft. He offered helpful suggestions and gentle guidance throughout, while always respecting our personal preferences and vision, which made us feel completely at ease.
On our wedding day, Joshua arrived early and took the initiative to greet and chat with each family member and guest individually, making everyone feel welcomed and included. Even though there were some cultural differences and a little language barrier between him and some of our guests, he made a sincere effort to connect with everyone. He was open-minded, respectful, and went above and beyond. He also communicated proactively with our photographer and helped coordinate details behind the scenes, so everything flowed smoothly.
During the ceremony, Josh’s attention to detail and professionalism made the entire experience feel effortless and memorable. Our ceremony started later than planned, and Joshua never once seemed impatient or rushed. Instead, he calmly checked in with us, walked through the next steps, eased our nerves, and kept everything moving seamlessly. What touched us most is Josh’s genuine passion and pride in what he does, and he truly cares about creating a meaningful experience for each couple. Huge thanks to Joshua! I had no intention of writing a bad review but Joshua Maples has been so unpleasant that I feel like I have to. It started with ignoring our requests brazenly in front of us during...
our face to face meeting. He consistently got our names wrong, including on the script that was to be said at our wedding, which included instances that openly insulted our relationship. On top of all of this he has lied to us multiple times in regards to preparedness for our wedding. After unfortunately having to fire him 5 days before our wedding he told us we would receive a refund(minus the agreed upon deposit) within 7 to 10 business days. We still had to contact him multiple times after the timeline had lapsed to receive funds and each time we received a different excuse. The excuses ranged from blaming the lack of reimbursment on his "scatter brained secretary" as well as putting fault on a church, which we had not hired him through giving the check to a person unrelated to us that worked at our wedding venue. After all of this we contacted him again weeks after reimbursement was due to once again request he return our funds only for him to send us $200 less than what was due. When we messaged back asking when the remainder of the payment would be returned to us he stopped responding to our messages. On top of all of this even the actual of firing him was difficult as he handled it unprofessionally as he seemed to take it as a joke. All around my husband and I found dealing with Joshua to be an unpleasant experience.

stly don’t think it’s fair to submit a review for a product or service that hasn't been fully refunded yet. I refund payment as received it (out of my pocket) so the church would reimburse me out of my kindness.
I wrote your ENTIRE script, and your names PHONETICALLY in the wedding script so I would NOT mispronounce them during the ceremony. May is the second busiest wedding season of the entire year and I have responded to you through emails and texts about your refund every day. I apologize that it was not in a timely matter in full yet. After writing your entire wedding script, finding a babysitter, rearranging my schedule, and declining couples for your wedding day for almost three months, then receiving a text just a few days before, that you were moving in another direction was not fair to myself or to my family. I've continued to work with you, stayed in touch, and your words are hurtful. You had made a choice to provide the very best professional wedding officiating service available and cancelling at the last minute, while expecting a full refund as soon as you said "I'm not needed"anymore put us in a complicated spot. The reviews from our actual clients reflect how happy they are with the experience that we have provided for them, and I’m disappointed that we did not have the opportunity to provide that for you.

He sends out a questionnaire for you and your fiancee to fill out. Be specific. He uses this to form his script for your big day! This needs to be said, my mom was so mad I hired an internet officiant, but his script was SO good and personal that my mom was convinced I wrote it myself! He had people laughing AND crying! It was a masterpiece.
Joshua was prompt and professional. He made everyone feel welcome. He knows all the announcements to make without it being awkward. He knows to step out of the way for picture when he announces your kiss. His prices are fair and reasonable.
