From our first conversation, my husband and I knew he was the right photographer for us. We live in Washington and were planning a destination wedding in Oregon and Josh really took a lot of stress off our plate when it came to the photography. We had our engagement photos done with him in May, he picked a beautiful location, and really captured some beautiful moments. That was our first time meeting him, and we felt like we had known him forever. It truly felt like hanging out with a good friend who happened to know how to take really awesome photos. We both appreciated his calm demeanor, his humor, and his ability to make us feel so comfortable so quickly. When we got the photos back, we were so happy and reassured that we had the right person for our wedding. Josh, then photographed our wedding day in October with the assistance of another photographer, Dillion. They were both amazing to work with, on-time, professional, reassuring, and they paid great attention to detail. As many brides know, photos are everything, so Josh was great about guiding us in solo shots, couple shots, and group shots. He would let us know if a hair was out of place, and would make us laugh so we looked as genuine as we felt, and he just really went out of his way to make sure our photos were stunning. When we received our wedding photos, we were absolutely blown away. The photos are absolutely amazing, and he captured our day so perfectly. Josh's style is 10/10 and he really knows what he is doing. We would recommend him to anyone for engagements and weddings, because his work is exceptional. We are so glad he was part of our big day, and made our photography dreams come true. We will forever look back at our wedding photos with happiness and joy and forever be grateful for Josh. I loved how you handled the family pictures, asking us a month or so before the wedding for a list of pictures that we wanted to make sure were taken, with a template for how we should organize our list. As you know, our list was quite long, and you and Keith absolutely nailed getting all the requisite pictures done expeditiously. The entire day was extremely relaxed, and you and your assistants made us all feel comfortable because all of you were so calm. Everything ran like clockwork and it appeared that all of you had a great rapport with the other vendors, as well, which made everything run seamlessly. And I don’t even know where to begin about the quality and quantity of pictures. When you sent me a few pictures the day after the wedding, I was thrilled to get a sneak peek and loved every one of them. I assumed that those were the “best ones,” but was very anxious to see the whole gallery. Boy, was I blown away! Every picture was amazing and there were so many different poses and backgrounds and lighting and tones and candids . . . I have so many favorites!!! I can’t say enough about how wonderful it was to work with you and how pleased we are with the fantastic gallery of pictures that will forever remind us of a beautiful day.

Josh makes things so effortless, and you can trust him to get the best photos of your perfect day! Josh helps you think about the photos you want and ensures he captures your wishes. He explores your property and finds the most breathtaking views. I would hire Josh over and over again, he’s exactly the photographer you want on your wedding day!

Like most racially diverse couples/families, we were concerned about whether everyone would show up looking like themselves and not too washed out or too blurry--Joshua nailed it! No issues at all, just great pictures. :) We asked for and got mix of candid shots (really important to us) and posed family and couple shots. Miraculously, everyone looks great in the group pics which I just can't believe! That never happens! And in the candid shots, Joshua was so unobtrusive that we didn't even know where he was and whether he'd captured those moments until we got the pictures back. Joshua was willing to work with us for a reasonable price given that our event was so small (my mom called it a "micro-wedding"). He even went a step further and suggested we split the time and do a couple's photoshoot at another location that evening. We got two beautiful locations for our pics, and Joshua highlighted the best in each location, scouting out which areas would be the best backdrops. Even better, we were more relaxed when we didn't feel guests were waiting on us, and we got lovely sunset pictures at the location where we got engaged! Joshua's wife, Rachel, is an amazing makeup artist and hair stylist, and stepped in at the last minute to do mine. She was so great to work with as well, and the confidence I got from having a professional do my make-up and hair showed through in our pictures. I would definitely work with them again!

It honestly didn’t feel like work for us because he is just so down to earth, so amicable, and his smile makes you comfortable like you’ve known him for a long time. His photos from past weddings were so spectacular I just couldnt imagine picking a different photographer. This was the most important part of the wedding to me. These would be the memories we would have for a life time. When we looked at our date he was already booked but I couldn't pick anyone else so we changed our wedding date! Unlike many photographers who may gripe about having to go out of town or charge a huge fee Joshua saw it as an opportunity to take his family on a mini vacation, which made me feel so much better about him being so far from home. Most weddings it feels like the photographer is right up in the couples business through the entire ceremony. With Joshua and his wife both there they got photos I requested and photos from angles I never would have thought of and they were practically invisible the entire evening. He took 1000s of pictures and was so prompt on combing through the best ones and perfecting them. I ended up with 100s of gorgeous photos that I treasure. He made a gorgeous hard pages book that we love and he was so patient when I wanted to change and add so many things. One of my big things about a photographer was I wanted the rights to print the photos and that was included with my package. He is not your typical cheeseball photohrapher, he is so down to earth, easy going and relatable! To finish, we were so happy with our wedding we have since had Joshua do photos of our growing family and will continue to do so! We had a two year engagement so we had already had engagement pictures done but decided to have him do another set (they were amazing). His wife is also and amazing photographer and all the moments I wanted captured at my wedding were captured. They are truly everything you want/need for that special day. They even worked with my last minute videographer and my dj. I consider Josh to be my photographer for anything I want done in the future!

I know all of our wedding party (including the groom and myself) are not the most photogenic bunch, or were looking forward to taking photos. But Josh made it so fun for everybody and made the whole day flow so easily, you could tell he was an expert! He was working hard from morning until our reception ended around 8 pm.
