I've always had this desire to explore and find new beauty around me while at the same time wanting to bring it with me so I can share it. Taking pictures isn't just a job, it's something I love to do and have been for over 20 years.

Josiah was an amazing photographer for our wedding. He provided great directions during our couple shoot and the family portraits are amazing. He sent us all our photos within a few days of the wedding, which was lovely. Highly recommend.

Josiah was such a joy to work with. He immediately put us at ease with his professional confidence and easy-going demeanor - my partner and I aren't super comfortable in front of cameras and Josiah was so patient and helpful in working with us to find poses that felt and looked natural. He captured so many sweet details and moments, from the first look to late night pizza on the dance floor. The photos were delivered quickly after the wedding and we were so pleased with the final product!

Josiah was a great addition to the wedding festivities. He was easy going and fit with the vibe we were trying to create. I can not say enough how amazing the photos turned out (people still comment on how awesome they are!). He joined us for a hike the day before the wedding and a bike ride the day after, and we are forever grateful that he did the photography at our wedding.

We were very happy with Josiah for both our wedding and engagement photos. He arrived early to scout out locations around the venue and found us some beautiful and creative places to include in our shoot. He gave us guidance on what to do in a way that made everything feel natural for us. He captured our day, our family & friends and us perfectly. We got our sneak peeks the next morning and had our entire gallery in less than 4 weeks!

Book him! You won't regret it. Josiah is not only an incredibly talented photographer, but amazing with guests and not to mention quick to pivot when/if plans change. Our wedding presented a few challenges due a significant storm. Josiah was excited and embraced the weather to shoot in the snow and captured amazing images! So many of our guests commented on his service and raved about the final product once we received final edits. Indoor, outdoor, clear skies, heavy snow... it doesn't matter, Josiah is amazing. I think our favorite thing about his work is his ability to capture the little moments that emulate the vibe and emotion of our special day. We can't say enough good things about him. So many of our guests and friends have asked for his contact info for future shoots.

Josiah recently photographed our intimate wedding, and we cannot recommend him enough.
On our wedding day, he captured AMAZING photos, never made us feel rushed, was extremely organized, kept us comfortable, and provided direction. After the wedding, he sent us sneak peaks right away. This was such a treat to help us immediately get the chance to see what shots he captured. We could not be happier with how all of our photos turned out.

We truly had a lovely with Josiah as our photographer! Just as background, my husband and I tied the knot a year ago (we essentially eloped during COVID). But we wanted to get our families together for a weekend to meet one another and have some picture taken. Honestly being newbies to the Tahoe region, Josiah was very patient in helping us find certain places to shoot at, giving us advice of what would be the best for beautiful pictures. Even the day of the shoot, we requested a big, last-minute change and he was able to accommodate for us. Truly a professional and has an incredible eye! When my husband and I took individual pictures with him, he knew exactly where he wanted us and how to frame the shot, giving only minimal directions, which was very helpful for me! Best part was hiking up to this incredible vantage point! Easily the coolest thing we’ve ever done in Tahoe! Also, we got our photos back in just a few days and they are SIMPLY STUNNING! Thank you for Josiah for giving us a lifetime of memories!

Josiah's photography is absolutely breathtaking. Looking at his portfolio, we knew right away that he was a master of his craft, and are overwhelmingly thrilled with the wedding pictures we received. Josiah really know how to capture the candid and natural moments, rather than focusing on staged and fake feeling photos. I can't believe how he was able to capture every element of our wedding, with us barely even noticing him as he navigated the angles and shots. Plus, Josiah's personality was super relaxed and personable and exactly what we were hoping for from a wedding photographer. I don't think the wedding would have been the same without his involvement.

Josiah was so great. We were having a hard time selecting a time frame and Josiah gave his input but was completely flexible. He gave great direction to get the best shots and was able to make us enjoy taking pictures which we usually hate doing. Josiah also gave us our pictures faster than we were expecting and we couldn’t have been more happy with them!!

I could not recommend Josiah enough to other brides! He has so many creative ideas that translated BEAUTIFULLY into his photos. It’s was raining on and off and cloudy at my Tahoe wedding and seriously the photos he took regardless of the weather were stunning. He was right there with us between the rain clouds taking the most incredible photos. He was very reassuring and kind and we loved having him as a part of our big day.

We had an absolutely phenomenal experience with Josiah! Throughout the whole process he was responsive, accommodating, flexible and professional. During the wedding day he was somehow everywhere he needed to be without being distracting. He has a fantastic eye, and we LOVE our pictures. Highly recommend!

Josiah was an amazing photographer who completely captured the image and feeling of the wedding. He was such a pleasure to work with, and had great ideas for pictures while using the entire venue for our backdrop. I couldn't have chosen a better photographer for my wedding. With COVID postponing our original wedding date, he was very flexible on changing to our new wedding date. He was quick to respond with all inquiries and questions. Overall I am so thankful for Josiah helping to create memories that we will have for forever, and the photos turned out amazing! Josiah was a better photographer than we could have even imagined!! He scaled boulders and leaped through shrubbery to capture some of the best wedding photos we've seen (we may be biased). We have too many amazing photos we can't possibly frame them all!! He was so receptive to our ideas and made everyone chuckle when the pictures started looking a little tiresome. His calm personality and adaptive attitude was easy to work with. Compared to the many weddings we've attended I can't believe how amazing Josiah was at capturing candid moments and natural group shots!

It was the best decision we could’ve ever made in using Josiah Hassler Photography for our special day. Josiah is an amazing photographer! His ideas, his professionalism, and his flexibility to this ever so changing time, allowed us to capture great memories of our special day. Every photo, edited or unedited, was perfect. He even lead us on a hike to get pictures of a beautiful view overlooking Lake Tahoe. He got all the great shots, but got all the in between ones too. Who is this guy? I’ve been pursing photography since my dad first let me borrow his old Pentax in ‘98. Since then I’ve never been able to stop looking at how life is reflected through the lens. I’m married, have 2 kids and love where I live and who I live with. Our family lives in Reno, NV and we are outgoing, adventure seeking, life lovers.
