We opted for the elopement package here and it couldn't have been a better experience + option for our wedding vision! Laura and Charles were incredibly kind and easy to work with ...
and I can't thank them enough.
Laura was on top of any communications leading up to the event and helped answer my questions + make suggestions to have the day go as smoothly as possible. And the pricing is incredibly reasonable for anyone seeking a smaller get together.
Highly recommend!
I had an amazing experience working with Laura and her husband. They were incredibly, nice, helpful, and the venue was beautiful. We got so many complements from our guests who wer...
e also super impressed with the property. I absolutely reccomend Josias River Farm as a weddig venue.
We had the wedding of our dreams at Josias River Farm in September of 2022. The natural beauty of the venue is what drew us in and we still can't believe how perfect the weekend wa...
s. Laura and Charlie were wonderful to work with and communication with them was so easy. You can truly customize your wedding to be exactly how you want it at this venue, and your pictures without a doubt will be amazingly beautiful!!
Maine in September, what's not to love! We knew as soon as we first visited the venue this was where we wanted to spend our special day. Laura and Charlie were extremely accommoda...
ting throughout the planning process and answering any questions that we had. Being able to have the venue for the weekend takes so much stress off of the actual day. There are so many special spots at the venue to take photos and have flexibility to tailor your special day exactly how you envision it. We could not recommend JRF enough!
We had our wedding at JRF in June 2022, and I can't overstate how AMAZING the experience was. Our wedding was everything that we had been dreaming of, and it wouldn't have been pos...
sible anywhere else.
Where do I start? From the day that we booked in March 2021, Laura was so communicative and supportive. She answered every question I had, and checked in regularly over the year and a half we were planning. She made us feel so special, and like our day really, really mattered to them. When it came time for our wedding, Laura and Charlie welcomed us as their guests for the entire weekend. They were so kind and accommodating, going above and beyond to make sure that everything went perfectly. We were so confident in their support that we barely thought about logistics on the day of, despite not having a wedding planner.
The property is absolutely stunning. It's the perfect balance of rustic structures and natural beauty, the barn and farmhouse situated perfectly among the lush greenery, gorgeous flowers, tall trees, and rushing river. The beauty of the setting definitely took some pressure off of us when it came to decor, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how dreamy it was.
The layout of the venue offers a ton of options for your day, depending on what kind of flow you want. We had our ceremony in the orchard, our cocktail hour in the garden, dinner on the lawn, and dancing in the barn. I've never been to a venue that offers so many options for how each part of your day can flow into another. Laura really wanted to help us customize our experience, and was always on hand to offer ideas and advice.
All in all, we had the most perfect wedding day ever, and we wouldn't have been able to do it without Laura and Charlie at JRF. Thank you SO SO much for everything, we will remember our experience at JRF for a lifetime.
Having our wedding here was absolutely perfect! Laura was amazing throughout the whole planning process, especially when we were thrown the curveball of COVID. She kept us updated ...
and was very accommodating with a lot of our changes. All of our vendors told us Laura and Charlie were very warm, welcoming and very helpful. It’s a beautiful venue near Ogunquit center but secluded enough to feel like you’re in your own bubble. We strongly recommend to anyone to check out this hidden gem!
This venue is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to, and I'm not just biased ;) The barn is rustic, wonderful, and full of lights, the yard is spacious and full of b...
eautiful trees and flowers (with LOTS of room for activities), and the goat pen was a huge hit amongst our friends. And the Tangerini's were a dream to work with. They were so helpful with recommending and directing vendors, with set up, where people should park, and with the clean up. Laura was also great when it came to planning out how the wedding should proceed and had awesome suggestions. What an amazing duo, they are two of the nicest people I have ever met and I am so thankful that they are the people that are behind this venue, the whole experience was beautiful beyond words.
My husband and I were fortunate enough to have our wedding at Josias River Farm this past June 2019. It could not have been better! First off, the owners, Laura and Charlie, were i...
ncredible to work with. They truly cared about our vision for the day and were so easy-going along the way. They were always very responsive and did not mind us stopping in on various occasions to hash out certain details. One of the best parts of JRF is that we were were really able to make it our own to reflect us as a couple--something very important to us during our search.
The property itself is beautiful (one of the many reasons we chose to be married here)! And the farm house was ideal for getting ready with my mother and bridesmaids prior to the ceremony. We cannot say enough about JRF and would highly recommend to anyone considering hosting an event here.
Josias River Farm has now become one of our favorite places on earth!! We absolutely love this place! When we started planning we knew we did not want a "cookie cutter" wedding. We...
looked at many unique wedding venues however JRF, was by far the best! We loved that we were able to totally customize everything about our wedding at JRF. We were not forced to follow any guide or “cookie cutter”. Although it was a lot of work, the day came together like a dream come true, and so much of that was because of JRF. The property has SO much to offer and it gives you the opportunity to have the venue for the entire weekend! This made for such a comfortable and enjoyable experience. We never felt rushed or limited. Also it was incredible to have multiple days for both set-up and take-down! It allowed us to have every detail set, making our day that much more perfect! The property is absolutely stunning and extremely well kept. Our guests continue to rave about JRF even sixth months later! Not only were they in awe of its beauty but also loved the freedom they had to enjoy the property throughout the day. We had our ceremony in the barn which made it intimate and beautiful! The cocktail hour was spread out throughout the property. We had a wonderful dinner inside a tent on the back lawn. And finally danced our hearts out inside the barn with our incredible band! JRF was THE best decision we made in the entire wedding planning process! Our annual trips to Maine will forever include a visit and trip down memory lane at Josias River Farm.
I cannot say enough about the beautiful Josias River Farm! I feel it does need to be stated the my review is speaking mostly to the property because new owners have taken it on sin...
ce our August wedding! However, in my few, brief interactions with Laura, she was friendly, responsive and so kind! The property at the farm made our wedding day exactly all that we wanted it to be. Being able to spend the whole weekend on site and create all of our memories in such a beautiful space was amazing. We hosted our rehearsal dinner inside the barn despite pouring rain, got ready in the bright and roomy side rooms of the house, said “I do” in the barn as the rain clouds hovered, dined and drank under a tent behind the vegetable garden and danced the night away in the barn! The flexibility with the weather and the endless setup options made the planning so easy. A number of our guests said “how did you find this place,” “this place is incredible,” and so on! Even family members who are not very observant spoke highly of the grounds. We LOVED every second of our wedding weekend and that was due, in large part, to having it at Josias River Farm.
Josias River Farm is an absolute gem of a wedding location. It offers the perfect combination of elegance and approachability. We wanted a place where our guests could feel both ri...
ght-at-home and "something special" - and Josias River Farm was just that. The property itself is immaculate, and the owners take great care to ensure every detail is accounted for and that you, as a couple, feel like the Farm is especially yours for the weekend. The flexibility the venue provides was also really important to us. We loved being able to choose our own vendors for each part of the wedding. We couldn't be happier with the choice of Josias River Farm for our special day!
