Our venue was a beachfront vacation rental property, however we did not want all of our photos to be the typical sand-and-water backdrop that usually come with a beach wedding. Finally, Alex and Josie's friendly and warm yet professional demeanor is reason enough to hire them (let alone their incredible talent). Being a pretty laid back person, I just didn't want to deal with the hassle. After talking to Jose and Alex though, all those anxious feelings washed away and I was convinced! They were able to fuse beautiful formal portraits, editorial shots, and smile-inducing candid shots all together. Most important of all, they made the whole process so FUN and a memorable experience for my bridal party, family, and us. We were all laughing and crying (the happiest of tears) the entire day! Like many people I'm sure, I was dreading having to collect my crazy family together and take a cohesive group photo to meet our wedding day timeline especially with half of the family as non-English speakers. Josie was a queen with instructing the big group and made the whole process hassle-free and efficient. My grandma and mother loved her! Jose and Alex also went above and beyond in utilizing our hotel and wedding venue to find unique and gorgeous photo backgrounds. They made my husband and I look like something out of a Vogue magazine. Every little detail was captured with purpose and intention. I loved looking at the candid shots of my family and guests. You get to see the little and beautiful moments that might have gone unnoticed. As the bride and groom, it is impossible for us to see every little thing that happens on our wedding day, so having two incredible photographers was perfect! We also loved the website used to share the photos. It is easy-to-use, organized, and looks great! I really liked that there was a "Guest" link feature, so my family could access our albums without accidentally changing any settings. Thank you sooooo much again, Josie and Alex! We had originally planned to do the engagement photos at a park but Josie suggested an in-home shoot and suited us (and our animals) perfectly. My friends and family couldn't stop commenting about how wonderful and sweet they both were. Our photos are so magical to us because they really captured the essence of our charming backyard wedding and all the special personal touches that went along with it. We got the photos back super timely and got way more than we expected. We've since printed multiple of them and they turned out perfectly (even just printing places like Walgreens) so I can't wait to see them if we go with a "higher quality" studio for bigger prints. We love looking back at them because they bring such a smile to our faces and evoke so much emotion, which exactly what we wanted. Both Josie and Alex were a joy to be around on our wedding day and we couldn't have been happier having them by our side for the some of the most intimate parts of the day because they made us laugh and shared in the moment with us without being intrusive. I’ll start with saying that my wedding date was booked by their availability. Nobody was going to take photos of our wedding if wasn’t Fox and Film. My heart has been dead set on them since before I even met my husband 2 years ago. They shot my best friends wedding and that’s when I first experienced their grace, talent and organizational flow whilst having THE cutest husband + wife team spirit. These two get things doneee 👏🏼👏🏼 Their communication from vendor to client was exceptional. Josie was quick to respond to any needs and/or concerns that we had. They went as far as making the timeline for us because we had no clue what we were doing! Within 3 weeks of our wedding we received all 1,200+ photos (although the package we purchased promised 500-600 photos we literally got DOUBLE that back) in stunning awe and tears eyes with how beautiful they photographed our wedding to be. Anyone that knows me would assure you of how picky I am but, these two made it unquestionable to choose and we couldn’t be happier or more proud of the memories we get to cherish because of Fox and Film! My husband, on the other hand, wanted our photos to be rich with emotion and on the moodier side and I fully understood this after seeing Alex & Josie’s work. First of all, my very first impression of Josie was, “Okay, me and this girl could seriously become best friends.” We chatted back and forth for hours over a wedding website and she cared enough to really get to know Carl and I before we even hired them. That thoughtful interaction will always remind me of how lucky we were to find them. The day of our engagement shoot, they came all the way to St. Augustine and met with us over a drink – water for them ;) – to break the ice and loosen up because let’s face it, walking around in public while people you hardly know take photos of you can be a tad awkward, but these two honestly made us feel so comfortable and THAT WAS SO IMPORTANT TO US! The day was spent laughing, eating popsicles, and popping champagne with two people that just felt like a couple of friends. As our wedding date inched closer, Josie made sure to check in with me here and there to see if there was anything I needed, and I greatly appreciated that more than she probably even knows. WEDDING DAY: These two made sure that we got plenty of “getting ready” photos and captured so many beautiful shots while keep a close watch on the time. I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR THIS! As a bride, the last thing you want to do is have to watch the clock because we were all there to relax and enjoy the morning. From the wedding ceremony photos to our couple and wedding party photos, Alex and Josie captured everything so beautifully. They suggested that the wedding party hang out at the restaurant bar next to our photo location and Alex was able to get some great photos of these moments where everyone was hanging out and laughing while my husband and I took some of our portraits. We joined everyone else once we finished our photos and I am so glad that they suggested we do this because it was a really nice touch to the day! ANOTHER WINNING MOMENT FOR THESE TWO! Overall, Alex and Josie KILLED THE GAME! They didn’t miss a beat and that’s a huge reason why we wanted two photographers.
