I was super, super impressed with Josmar at first. He replied quickly, answered my questions, was all around really great to speak with and prepare to work with. He did tell me ahe...
ad of time that he was, personally, unavailable for my wedding date but promised to mend that issue with two [2] other shooters -- as per my contract I picked.
I only received one for the day-of.
As a result, we were and are missing footage of the groom and groomsmen getting pictures done and getting ready and all of that, which makes me sad, to this day.
After I paid my full invoice -- $2350 -- Josmar sort of... ghosted me. To the point where I thought he was a scam. Whenever I did manage to get a response, it was after multiple emails in a row from me, or finding his cell number on his website to masquerade as a new client. When I let it known it was me, he gave me another excuse as to why he went AWOL. I understand that his wife had just had a baby and so there was a large shift in his home-work life, but more communication would have been preferred. It's awkward when people ask me to see the wedding videos and I always had to reply that I hadn't gotten them yet, months after the fact.
He would always come with excuses -- computer died. Locked out of gmail account. Missing footage and waiting on his shooter to send over more. Our wedding was in October and in December he said everything would be done by end of February. Come April and nothing yet. I ended up having to get the police involved in early May before he finally gave me my videos -- magically they were done that following Monday.
He did not ask which song I would have wanted in the background -- I thought he would've, otherwise I would have told him outright. I love the videos we got, but due to the missing second shooter, we were still missing stuff -- we have very limited footage [a couple seconds each] of my father-daughter dance, our first dance, the grand march and the mother-son dance. Which is upsetting, as my dad is now dying [as been since the October we got married, thankfully he's still holding on but still], and now I won't have those memories in video format. I really wanted more of our first dance.
We received a sneak peek clip and a full video when I'm almost positive the package we chose said we would get a little bit more than that [like a social media clip if I remember correctly].
My contract stated I was to get a personalized, engraved USB but we only got a regular one -- and on it was our videos, but I realized way later that my maid of honor's speech is missing from there.
I kick myself for not asking for some money back. I just wanted to be done with dealing with him. And since it's been two and a half years since our wedding [yes, it's taken me this long to decide to voice my displeasure because I'm usually quite passive with being upset with people], by now it would be pointless to ask for a partial refund.
Plus, Josmar still hasn't even opened the last, like, five texts I've sent him.
