On our wedding day she was efficient, upbeat, and was excellent at directing the process to make things go smoothly. We were worried about getting enough photos since we opted out of a first look but Joy worked with us and captured so many wonderful pictures. What stood out to me the most was her ability to capture all of the genuine joy and beautiful moments of the day. We couldn't be happier with our photos and our experience!

NG! Her organization throughout the process of wedding planning was also so wonderful. She was very responsive to any/all questions via email along with Zoom calls leading up to the big day. She also brought great ideas in regards to our engagement photo shoot making that such an enjoyable experience. One major thing that stood out to me was the day of my wedding Joy took all the stress off me taking charge enursing she captured all the photos I previously had gone over with her that I wanted! Anytime we needed help she always answered so fast and was a huge help. We would definitely travel to use her for other shoots in the future (family, baby, etc.) if she is still doing them. When I expressed that my husband wasn't sure about an engagement shoot, which all her packages include, she explained that it helps make couples feel more comfortable in front of the camera. Joy did say that if we chose not to go with an engagement shoot that she'd add extra time to our wedding day. We did end up going with an engagement session and were so happy we did. It definitely made us more comfortable in front of the camera, but also gave us an opportunity to get to know Joy. The day of the wedding Joy and her assistant captured the most beautiful pictures! They worked with us to make sure to capture all the important moments. Joy shared a preview of our photographs not long after the wedding, which made us super excited to see the rest of our photographs. She had our digital album ready in 3-4 weeks! When I looked through the pictures I relived our wedding day all over again! Joy, you were the perfect photographer for our big day! Thank you so much for capturing all the special moments and bringing our big day to life through pictures!

She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera (a true feat!), and we are absolutely in love with the pictures she took. Joy went above and beyond in so many ways -- handling last minute requests, sneaking us out for a couple of sunset photos after the ceremony -- but I am most grateful for her for stepping in when one of our vendors seriously dropped the ball. Dealing with last minute venue logistics was very much outside of her purview, but she took over without a second thought and honestly saved the day. We couldn't recommend Joy more!

She was the secret ingredient to making the day go super smooth and perfect!! And on the day of, she was so great at capturing all of the shots that we wanted to take and more!! When I viewed some of Joy's galleries, I found that the photos she took were exactly what I was looking for--beautiful, fine art photos that you would want to hang throughout your home. (Always ask to see galleries because anyone can send you a highlight reel!!) Once we hired Joy, working with her was a breeze. She was very communicative, flexible, and prompt. For our engagement session, she traveled through the city with us to ensure we got pictures in the locations we wanted, and we had our pictures back to us within a week. Fast forward to our wedding day, Joy was ON it. I had sent her a list of desired photos ahead of time and she made sure to capture all of those and more, all while keeping us on track with our timeline. Joy had a preview of over 100 pictures back to us a WEEK after the wedding, and our full gallery to us within a month--way before when they were promised by. The photos she took were beautiful. We couldn't be happier that we had Joy to capture our day!!

was a long one, and I never felt like Joy forgot about us. She would check in via email and connect with us on Instagram. She also made the process seamless and made sure we got the shots that we wanted. If you are looking for a photographer, HIRE JOY!

n front of the camera. She keeps the day moving but is never bossy, and is very fun to work with. She helped us find locations for our engagement and wedding party shoots, clearly communicated the timelines for the day of, and took all the stress off of us with her attention to detail. She even helped with pinning boutonnieres and bustling the wedding dress! And the photos are unbelievable. She really captured us, our wedding party, our venue, and our dogs (at the engagement shoot!) perfectly. Both the landscape shots of the city and the close up portraits are beautiful. Her second photographer for the wedding day was also wonderful to work with. We couldn't have been happier with Joy and her work!

Covid altered plans. She made my husband and me, two people who are less than natural posing, so comfortable in front of the camera. She stepped in to support us whenever she saw a need, whether that be bustling my dress or keeping our guests and vendors on schedule. Most of all though, she took the most incredible photos. Her images captured the distinctly different spirits of each celebration with such beauty. We will cherish these pictures, and our time spent with Joy, forever. We couldn't recommend her enough.

On the wedding day, she was there early, and was able to start shooting as guests arrived. When it came to poses/guest photos, she guided guests in and out seamlessly. She has a repertoire of different poses that look great, so my wife and I really appreciated not having to think much about how to pose. After the wedding, the turnaround time was quicker than we had originally anticipated (and what was said in the contract), so that was really appreciated. The photos came out amazing, and the process to download them afterwards was extremely simple. Overall, we would highly recommend Joy as your photographer!

th beginning the wedding process. She was the first vendor we booked! Her communication is flawless, and in the stressful weeks leading up to the wedding, Joy's communication made a huge difference in helping with our day of timeline and fine tuning all the little details. We had the most incredible engagement shoot -she listened to some of our ideas and then guided us into poses that turned into incredible photos. We didnt want the classic Chicago Skyline/Lake photoshoots, and she helped us find some awesome spots!! Who would have thought that underneath the Red Line would turn out to be some of our favorite photos?! We had a connection to have some shots near Wrigley, and they turned out so beautiful!! We havent received our full wedding photos yet, but Joy was such a pivotal piece of our wedding day. Her sweetness and humor helped make our photoshoots seamless, fun, and so far our preview photos are stunning!! Everyone was raving about her. Joy is truly the most incredible person and photographer. Do not second guess the decision to inquire and book her right now!!

She even made our somewhat rainy/misty day look nothing of the sort with her timing, lighting choices, and angles. She made last minute decisions to preserve photos (ex.) I was near bawling prior to our, "first look" so she slid in some great portrait photos before the water works! This helped my makeup stay more fresh for a few pre shots, super smart idea! During the ceremony we didn't even notice her but she still captured so many beautiful shots. while preserving views for our guests as well..
