Hiring Joyful Entertainment & Photo Booth for our wedding was easily one of the best decisions I could have made!! Joshua was always 3 steps ahead of me with organizing, planning, and keeping everyone on the same page on the big day. Through out the night and the day after our wedding, allll of our friends and family complimented Joshua and Josh on how fun they made the night. They were professional, kind, and GENUINE! I truly felt like they put every ounce of their passion and hard work into making sure our big day was flawless. You cannot go wrong when it comes to hiring them!!

Johnathan F and crew were the best DJs! We couldn’t have asked for better! They handled all of our requests (even the crazy traditions) and kept everyone dancing all night! Would recommend them to anyone! Thank you for making our night so special!

DJ Justin was absolutely awesome! He was so organized and on top of things! Every idea I brought to him, he made come to life. The dance floor was full the whole night at our wedding and he really knows how to read the crowd! He was so professional and really took charge to lead the reception well. Working with Joyful Entertainment was the EASIEST and best part of my wedding! The booking process was so simple and Justin (our DJ) was incredibly communicative with the planning process and provided a detailed sheet of every song we could possibly want for each area of our ceremony/reception. Wedding planning was extremely stressful for me but Justin was so kind when I kept forgetting to add songs and he even gave me a list of suggested songs which helped a lot. He scheduled a few phone calls before which also made me so comfortable that he knew exactly how I wanted everything and asked questions that I wouldn’t have even thought of! During our wedding, Justin had the biggest smile and brought the party the whole time! There wasn’t a moment that the dance floor wasn’t the place to be! We also got the lights/photo booth and let me tel you, if you are hesitant about adding those, DEFINITELY GET THEM! The photo booth had a line the whole time and was a great way to get fun pictures with the guests that might have snuck out earlier! The uplights created a beautiful atmosphere during eating and calmer-dances and also BROUGHT THE PARTY during dancing! I can’t recommend Joyful Entertainment enough. They will be THE EASIEST vendor to work with prior and the BEST vendor to work with on the day-of. There wasn’t one request I had that Justin didn’t happily oblige! After speaking with a few DJ's initially, I knew these guys were the ones for our wedding the second I got on the phone with Jonathan White. Being from out of state and planning from afar, I immediately knew I was in good hands. I worked with both Jonathans throughout our planning process and from start to finish, through various changes and Covid curveballs, these guys were beyond professional, accommodating, helpful, friendly, and great at what they do. Joyful Entertainment is so much more than a DJ. Last summer, my husband and I were deciding between 2 DJ’s for our wedding this past January. As soon as we talked to Johnathan Foster with Joyful on the phone, our choice was a no-brainer. Just from the one phone call, Johnathan was personable and easy to talk to. His energy and enthusiasm were contagious - which is the perfect recipe for a DJ. What felt like the cherry on top is that while talking to Johnathan, it became clear how much our faith and values align with his. We felt at ease and knew we were in good hands with Johnathan. And we were excited to have him at our wedding knowing we share the same views on marriage and God. The reason why this review took so long for us to do is because we couldn’t find the words. At the reception during dinner, one couple came up and wished us well. Before we knew it, there was a long line of people waiting to talk to us as we were trying to eat. It was a bit overwhelming honestly, and my mom picked up on that. She came up to our table and politely said that we were needed by our month-of planner for something - a decoy to take us outside, ask if we were okay, and give us a few minutes to ourselves. Johnathan noticed all of this from across the room and without hesitation, he ran across the floor and came outside to check up on us. We explained that we were perfectly fine! Just a bit overwhelmed as we knew everyone meant well, but we weren’t anticipating to not even be able to finish our dinner or have a short conversation just us. Right away, Johnathan asked if we could pray. We held hands and he prayed for us. It was exactly what we needed. It centered and grounded us; it brought us back to the sole purpose of the day. It was truly indescribable and to this day, leaves my husband and I at a loss for words. What other DJ or vendor would do that?? Our communication with Joyful throughout the planning process was seamless. They were understanding, patient, and always ready to help us however we needed. Johnathan would periodically text us to check in and share his excitement with us. His texts always seemed to come at the most chaotic, stressful times for us where that simple text was the positive pick me up that we needed. They shared a Google doc with us to fill out and update with our song preferences & requests. It was very organized and broken down into specific parts of the night (cocktail hour, intros, during dinner, dancing). The Google doc wasn’t just a list of suggestions, you could tell he really took it to heart and took the time to go over it as we heard a lot of songs from the list throughout the night. He was great at reading the crowd and taking requests from our guests as well. They even put together a video for us that they sent us the very next day! It was so unexpected and so very thoughtful of them! Joyful Entertainment was hands down one of our favorite vendors. They’re fun, friendly, selfless, attentive, and compassionate. Johnathan went above and beyond and made a lasting impact on our day that we appreciate and cherish more than we can express. Jonathan and Candace were amazing! The first time I met them I knew that they had to be a part of my wedding day. Jonathan is so much fun and full of energy and that’s exactly what I wanted in a DJ. He made sure we all were on the dance floor and having a great time! Candace being my coordinator was an added bonus to my package with Jonathan and I couldn’t imagine my day without her. She handled every little detail that day and it was PERFECT! If anyone is looking for a DJ and/or coordinator I would definitely recommend contacting them, I promise you won’t be disappointed. They are the BEST!

We booked Johnathan before their team rebranded to Joyful Entertainment and I only mention that because the new name could not be more PERFECT to sum up our experience with them! From start to finish in the process, we felt so celebrated and taken care of. Johnathan Foster, Johnathan White, and their team exude JOY at the highest and purest level. We had Johnathan (J Foster) as our MC/DJ and Jake assisting with the photo booth. Johnathan was organized and proactive to ensure both our ceremony and reception were executed perfectly. And I mean perfectly! I really believe it comes down to the level of preparation that went into our day. After booking them, we received a super helpful guide to organize our ceremony flow, music preferences, and reception highlights. It helped set clear expectations that gave us peace of mind going into our day. Our guests were able to focus on the moments that mattered because transitions were on point, to be entertained from cocktail hour to the dance floor, and to know exactly what was going on or what they needed to do. Johnathan isn’t just a guy with a playlist hiding behind a computer. He is confident on a microphone, attentive to the room, and intuitive to what needs to happen to get people in the right atmosphere. He is sharp with the technology: set up and tear down were simple and complete, our ceremony was mic’d crystal clear, and the moving parts like toasts were seamlessly orchestrated. After booking Johnathan as our DJ, we found out that Joyful Entertainment added a photo booth service. We were stoked! It was a no brainer for us to add that to our wedding package, but little did we know that it would become such a highlight during our reception. This thing is advanced. It’s packs light and super easy to set up. So much so that we got to flip our ceremony backdrop to our photo booth backdrop and it looked AMAZING. It was a hit. We had more than 250 media files in a matter of hours––that thing was constantly in use. Photos, boomerangs, GIFs, videos… Whatever people fancied, this thing produced great results. With perfect lighting. And it was so easy to use. Like, grandmas and grandpas figured out how to start the timer and send it to their phone, easy! But just in case anyone had trouble, Joyful Entertainment provided a “handler” of sorts. That was Jake for us, and he was stellar. Whether it was demonstrating a how-to or jumping in on a boomerang when invited, he kept the area so fun and energetic. And did I already mention the results looked amazing?! Smiles, laughs, and goofy faces of our loved ones were plastered all over social media for weeks with a custom graphic that Joyful Entertainment made for us feat. our wedding hashtag. We had so much positive feedback for the photo booth addition that it’s crazy to think we didn’t even originally plan for it to be a part of our night. But you have the option now! Take it. Book Joyful Entertainment, max out all the services they provide. They are really a team that can be entrusted with much and prove to follow through with excellence in entertainment and hearts of pure joy. Do not, do not, do not compromise on this area when it comes to your big day. Johnathan and his team were the glue that brought the vision together and allowed things to flow so smoothly. The value that Joyful Entertainment added to our and our guests’ experience––you can’t put a price tag on that. (Though they have put a modest one on it. And it’s worth every penny.)

I am STILL hearing from my wedding guests about how much fun our reception was thanks to these guys! It was a constant party all night long & 100% worth it! Jonathan was very professional & catered to our guests energy SO well! It honestly made for such a fun night overall. We wanted the dance floor full all night and that’s exactly what we got! We have been to many weddings were a lot of of people didn't dance, and that was one of our biggest concerns for our wedding. But Johnathan Foster didn't disappoint! Jonathan, Candace & Lucas were absolutely amazing! They helped make our day so special. They were so much fun and so entertaining, and our guests still talk about how fantastic they were! There is no question about it--Johnathan Foster DJ'd our wedding (and also brought another friend to help out), and every part of our day was flawless because of them. I didn't have to worry about a thing...ceremony music was perfect, cocktail hour had a great vibe, and Johnathan knew just what to do to get people on the dance floor and keep them there...all night long. At the end, everyone had so much fun that he even did an encore song for all of our friends and family to dance to. Everyone from our wedding is still talking about how much fun they had and how great the DJ and music were. Holden did such an amazing job on our big day! He made a point to reach out months before the wedding to get a feel of what kind of music we were into and took the time to put playlist together to make sure we were on the same page! I definitely recommend booking through this company and I’m sure if you request Holden as your DJ he will not disappoint!

This was by far the best party I’ve ever been to. The DJ listened to my ideas and what we wanted and he delivered just that and more! They were incredible, and I heard nothing but great things from all of our guests as well!! They didn’t want the party to end! I would HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for a DJ to choose this group. J. Foster Wedding Review - EXCELLENT! J. Foster was the best DJ we could ask for on our special day, from ceremony to hyping up the dance floor, he did an excellent job getting all song choices spot on and engaging our guests. He was affordable and even travelled all the way to Concord, NC from Myrtle Beach after we fell in love with his services at a friend’s wedding we attended. He was very attentive and easy to contact and checked in a few days prior to make sure we had everything we needed. The night went on without a glitch - highly recommend him for any special event!

Jacob and his team did an amazing job with capturing our wedding. He not only provided what we had asked for, but went above and beyond to make our day so much more special! We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! The amount of fun and professionalism that they brought was unbelievable. We can't say enough great things about our experience with Jonathan White and his team! We had Brad AKA DJ Vlad DJ our wedding reception and it was an absolute blast! Unfortunately, we had to postpone our original wedding date due to Hurricane Dorian and we were so relieved and happy that Brad was able to make it on the new date. From start to finish, both Jonathan and Brad were so easy going, professional and just flat out awesome! As you can imagine, wedding days are hectic and Brad was so helpful by keeping the reception in order and on time, while also making sure the dance floor was full! There were quite a few people that claimed beforehand that they don't dance, but even they were out on the dance floor by the end of the night having a great time! We received several compliments on the music and professionalism of the team and I couldn't agree more with all of them. 10 out of 10 for sure!

If you are looking for a DJ for your special occasion J. White and J. Foster and company are the best. J. Foster did a fantastic job at my daughter's wedding. He kept the guest entertained and up on their feet dancing. I even asked Jonathan to do the prayer before the meal, and it was amazing. He really listened to what we wanted and he delivered in every way. Not to mention he had to set up in two different locations. Outside for the wedding and inside for the reception. He really got what we wanted, and he was amazing. If you're looking for a DJ give them a call. You will not regret it.

Amazing from start to finish!!! My wedding happen to be the day following Hurricane Dorian The assigned DJ was resided primarily in another town. Being proactive and not knowing what would happen regarding the weather they assigned another DJ to my wedding. He contacted me via text and we spoke to go over ALL the plans from start to finish and to reassure me regarding the day. He wanted to make sure he was clear on everything I wanted that day. We didn’t know if it would be outdoors as planned or indoors. Lucas’s expertise and professionalism kept me calm.... After our call I knew he had my best Interest at heart and he would do whatever he needed to exceed my expectations. My wedding was perfect and the DJ made everything so fun and seamless! I couldn’t recommend a better company to work with! Do not hesitate!

Jonathan was a key component to the wedding and reception. He was available at all times and always willing to help and give advice prior to the wedding. Our wedding didn’t quite go as planned due to the weather and Jonathan was very flexible and we dances in the rain through the night. I’ve received many texts that we had the best reception playlist! I can’t say enough great things about Jonathan and the DJ we had at our wedding, Rob. From the beginning Jonathan was extremely responsive and patient as I was planning this wedding from another state. I was also planning my wedding in a matter of two months so I was a little bit scattered but Jonathan was completely patient with me, giving me reminders but not pushy whatsoever. He was totally flexible with how I wanted to cover the bill and the timing of the event. He was reachable via phone call, text, or email which was convenient. Before the wedding I talked through details with DJ Rob on the phone twice and he was outstanding! He made so many awesome recommendations on the timeline for the reception, but ultimately still left all decisions up to me. He did an awesome job day of- he had our loose timeline but made sure to keep a good feel on the guests and adjusted the timing of things accordingly. Not only was he a great DJ, but I felt he went way above and beyond the typical responsibilities of a DJ. Rob was available to help with anything- down to carrying my food to my table for me (we had a buffet), getting me silverware, and making sure I always had enough to eat/drink. Those are just a few of the minor details he went above and beyond with! Lastly, I wasn’t sure how long we’d want the DJ to stay but Rob was open ended and once again was willing to stay later than we planned if it felt like the guests were hanging around. Rob ended up staying a whole hour later for us! All in all, I HIGHLY recommend using this company! They were friendly, patient, and all around awesome people and DJ’s.

Both Jonathan’s are just the sweetest gentlemen that you could ask for. They answer every question in detail and always do their best to accommodate every need you have! Leading up to my wedding they were supportive and always made sure I had everything I needed and all questions I had were answered! On the morning of my wedding J. Foster (our DJ) even sent me a sweet text to get me pumped for the day! What more can you ask for? For our ceremony, J. Foster kept everyone on time and the ceremony going at the right pace. The music was just the right volume and faded in and out at the perfect times (you know those DJs that cut music at the most awkward times and at full volume? Not Jonathan.). It was great! When it was time to party? J. Foster brought it! He started the party for the kids, because we had tons of them at the reception! He played everything I requested and filled in the blanks perfectly with music I never would have thought to ask for but love nonetheless! He kept people on the dance floor, which was a huge concern for me-because while we love to listen to music, my crowd isn’t the biggest dancing bunch. All this said, the biggest compliment I can give to Jonathan is after the reception was over. After all the tables were cleared and all the decor put away, Jonathan was the last vendor at our wedding. Why? He stayed behind and played my Matron of Honor and her husband a few songs (including “their song”) so they could finally have a “first dance”. They got married a few years ago and never had a reception and it was the sweetest thing for Jonathan to give them those moments. We all got to join them under the empty tent and dance in the dark and it’s probably my favorite memory from my wedding (besides actually marrying my husband). So thank you Jonathan, you’re a really awesome DJ and an even sweeter guy! It was awesome to meet you!

Easy to communicate with, understood the vibe we were shooting for, had a great set up (speakers, mix table, etc.). Very good with the crowd, literally made the evening flow perfectly with the right amount of music intermixed with the important announcements that needed to happen during our event. DJ White is a class act. 100% would use him again for any other event we might have in the future. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of a DJ. I don’t know of a better one.

DJ Foster was absolutely amazing. I had a last minute dj vendor change and was fortunate that these guys were available! They exceeded all my expectations and everything was perfect! Dear Alexandra Green, I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Jonathan in person until our rehearsal. He was just beginning his DJing at the time but boy did he seem like a pro! We talked briefly about the style of music for the wedding and my husband and I shared songs we definitely wanted or didn't want. He filled in the rest of the time flawlessly with a variety of songs. I never imagined that our guests would be willing to dance but Jonathan got nearly everybody out on the dance floor with his great personality. He definitely knows how to cater to the crowd. He was the life of the party without "stealing the spotlight" of the bride and groom. He was also incredibly flexible when we decided to do our first dance a little sooner than planned. Let’s talk about the perfect night! I feel like a DJ can really make or break a wedding reception, that’s why we wanted the best. Jonathan did NOT disappoint! The whole night was exactly what my husband and I wanted: a party to celebrate with all our close people! The entire reception was FLAWLESS. Jonathan guided the night from first dances to cutting cake and toasts, and finally to opening the dance floor for the night. We had guests from ages 2-92, and not a single person failed to get out on the dance floor. Everyone I have talked to since the wedding has RAVED about how phenomenal our DJ was! I can’t say anything bad about our entire reception, and I attribute that to the quality of service we received. AMAZING!
