Lets be honest - unless you have a regular church, who’s going to marry you is a big question. We worked with Marti who was professional and great to work with. We had no idea what to do with this aspect of our planning but Marti helped us out with examples and a questionnaire to help us think of how we wanted our own story to be told. This is the most personal part of the wedding and having a good guide helps. She was willing to do anything we asked to make it personal. We asked for short and sweet and that’s what she gave us and even personalized it for us. She also had no problems with meeting up for rehearsal at places other then the venue. She was on time and all papers were filed timely with no issues.

My husband and I just got married this past July, and Marti at Joyful Promises helped make our ceremony the most special moment of my life. In the planning process, my husband and I were pretty unsure of what we wanted. She had an initial meeting with us where she talked through options and helped us think things through. A few weeks before the wedding, I lost my grandmother and asked her to add something to our ceremony in remembrance. She was so quick to respond and so kind. At our rehearsal, she was so organized and kept my large bridal party focused on what they needed to do. Marti also helped us work through our unity ceremony and fine tune it. On the day of the wedding, Marti's words were touching and impactful as she guided us through the ceremony. I could not be happier with our choice of Joyful Promises. Beyond all of these wonderful things, Joyful Promises is very reasonable compared to some other officiant services, and Marti's modern wording made it clear that two equal partners were joining together--something very important to me. I highly recommend Joyful Promises.

Finding someone to marry my husband and I was our biggest struggle. Our moms has certain things they wanted out of the ceremony. My husband and I both grew up religious but do not practice it now. We still wanted religion to be part of our ceremony but more fitting our life. Marti is amazing and within minutes of meeting her I knew she was perfect and would be marrying us!
