She went above and beyond to amplify my vision, brought phenomenal and cutting-edge design concepts to the table, and literally made every idea I could conceive a reality. Shirley is a floral and design innovator and there’s no one else I would have chosen over her to co-design and decorate my wedding ceremony and reception. If you’re looking for a florist do not look any further you have found the perfect one!! Shirley was our florist for our wedding at the Mandarin Oriental Washington, DC. Shirley is the most amazing person to work with. When I had my first call with Shirley we went over my vision of what I was trying to accomplish and would have a follow up with her ideas. When Shirley called me back with how she thought she could execute my ideas her walk through sounded like the most magical evening and that is EXACTLY what she delivered on our wedding. Her patients through an uneasy COVID environment (even a reschedule)were not only beyond professional but extremely kind and understanding. She worked with our budget to maximize the beauty and never tried to push us to spend more than we were looking for. We made changes throughout the process and she never hesitated to make sure we were getting exactly what we had planned. We also made additions to arrangements and she went above to find us higher quality options in a similar price point. On our wedding day she was punctual and made sure everything was taken care of and placed perfectly. I cannot thank her enough for such a magical evening. It was truly perfect. Hiring Shirley will be the best decision you’ve made for your wedding. She and her talent is truly a beautiful experience unlike any other. Thank you again, Shirley!

Shirley did an absolutely AMAZING job for our big day. She is incredibly kind and thoughtful. She truly listened to what we wanted and delivered perfectly. She created a custom proposal and attended a walk-through at our wedding venue. She had some very creative ideas that added beautiful touches to our big day. Shirley really made our day so special. She is a very kind person and was patient and really listened to what I wanted for my wedding and even was able to accommodate some last minute adjustments. My bouquet was so beautiful and she really brought our reception to life with her flowers and tablescape. For me flowers were an important aspect of our wedding and I think she really understood that which I loved. We are so thankful to her and her team and so pleased we found JR flowers for our wedding. Shirley was fabulous!! She took the time to talk with my now-husband and I to see what we wanted for our wedding florals and provided us with a detailed proposal with pictures which really helped us to envision the final product. We provided her with our wedding colors and she created the most beautiful arrangements to fit with those colors. My bridal bouquet was stunning and exceeded everything I hoped for. Shirley created three different floral arrangement styles for our reception tables, taking our budget into account which was much appreciated. She and her team even re-purposed flowers from our arch to be used at our reception sweetheart table, which was another much appreciated touch! Our guests gave so many compliments on how beautiful all the arrangements were and how nice everything looked. Shirley was extremely professional, responsive, and so kind! We cannot recommend JR Flowers enough and will be singing her praises to anyone we know getting married in the future. Deciding to work with Shirley and her team at JR Flowers was one of the best decisions we made and we cannot thank her enough!

Shirley was simple amazing! She helped me come up with a beautiful design based on my vision of all magenta and fuschia flowers during the reception. I love peonies and never knew they came in such hues. All our guests loved our flowers especially the rose covered arch where we said our vows. Shirley was so professional and fun to work with. I had complete confidence in her and wasn’t stressed at all.

Our wedding looked so beautiful thanks to Shirley. So many guests commented on the beautiful floral arrangements. Shirley is a true professional and it was a pleasure working with her. She was always very prompt in her communications with us and offered us a lot of great ideas/options for looks. We also really appreciated Shirley’s flexibility as we had to make some adjustments to our order as a result of COVID. Shirley was also sensitive towards us having a wedding during the pandemic and included a complementary arrangement for us. We really appreciated that and cannot understate our satisfaction with JR Flowers and highly recommend them!

Shirley was professional, easy, and a pleasure to work with particularly as we went through different options through Covid wedding planning. She offered suggestions, sending me Pictures of ideas throughout my wedding planning process. Her work was gorgeous and exactly what I asked her for in terms of color, size and textures. Shirley was incredible to work with. We originally had booked her for our elegant wedding on 3-20-2020. COVID-19 happened and in the days before our weeding we dramatically scaled it down and moved it to our home. Shirley gracefully pivoted with all our changes. She came to our home a couple of days before the wedding and completely re-arranged our floral needs. We needed an arbor to get married in front of in our back yard, she provided a beautiful backdrop. She decorated our home with incredible arrangements and candles. Our wedding and home was so beautiful because of Shirley. When anyone talks about our wedding the beauty of the flower arrangements and bouquets are always mentioned. We couldn’t go away for our honeymoon but we were able to enjoy Shirley’s creations for days after. I can’t recommend Shirley enough, she was a true blessing to us.
