JTate Design First off, and maybe most importantly, I love photography! I am very grateful to have been able to shoot over 300 weddings since 2009 along with countless other shoots. I go into each wedding with the goal of creating a collection of memories based around who YOU are and the style that fits YOU best. Whether it is a classy & antique style wedding, a more creative & fun wedding, or anything in between, I try to fit my photos to your one of a kind celebration. I would consider myself a candid style photographer, but I can also take charge and guide you as much as you need (if you need help posing for example). You will often find me moving about grabbing different moments and angles as the day flies by. But it's about the details too! I like to capture the details that you have put so much time into making your day just right. Maybe you won’t hang these photos on your wall, but I hope you'll be able to look back at these photos as time goes on, and re-live your awesome day. The details on the wedding dress. Your guests. The cake. The venue. And so much more. Each one is a part of what makes the day special, and I want to help make your wedding more than you ever imagined it would be. I have been blessed in my life and I am so glad to be a photographer. Hiring Joe as our photographer was easily the best wedding decision we made! He was amazing for our engagement and wedding day photos, and was so helpful with both making a wedding day timeline and helping us with poses for both sessions. Joe is very professional and personable, and was a calming, helpful presence the day of our wedding! We both felt extremely comfortable working with Joe and appreciated his prompt communication. We had such an amazing experience with Joe from JTate Design for our wedding! He was so kind and easy to work with from the beginning. He was so helpful in creating our timeline in order to get the photos that we wanted, but also had fantastic ideas for photos that we never would've thought of. We tend to feel a little awkward getting our pictures taken, but Joe made us feel so comfortable and at ease we end up having so much fun with it. He struck a wonderful balance of making sure that we took advantage of great photo opportunities, but didn't keep us from enjoying our wedding and what was happening around us. He and our videographer worked so well together, and we could tell that they were capturing the day, but never felt like they were in the way. He also so kindly gave my brother (an amateur photographer) some tips so he was able to, capture some shots of us as well. We could not have been happier with our experience! Absolutely would recommend hiring Joe from JTate Design for your wedding!!

I have officiated almost 600 weddings since 2010, and I've had the good fortune to run into Joe at a few dozen ceremonies. Joe is amazing, not *just* for because of his immense talent - that much is obvious from his portfolio - but also because of his disposition. I have dealt with plenty of photographers who take great photos but whose people skills are sorely lacking - not the case with Joe. He radiates the perfect mix of calm and enthusiasm, which is exactly what you need on your wedding day (especially when you consider that your photographer is going to be in such close proximity to you/giving you instructions the entire day.) Hire him. For as happy as I am to work with him on any given ceremony, you'll be doubly so.

Joe was the best professional we hired for our wedding. He was calm, patient, and kind to all of our guests. He answered questions quickly and thoroughly. He captured moments I didn't know were happening and magically delivered us a photo of every single one of our guests. We were completely clueless for posing and ideas and Joe walked us through everything so thoroughly and professionally. He got our engagement photos, sneak peek, and full album back quickly. Joe was excellent to work with from start to finish!! Joe’s prices are what first made us interested in his work, and by the end of our wedding night, we told him we wouldn’t have wanted any other photographer to capture our big day!! Joe was always prompt, clear, and kind in all forms of communication with us. His laidback and easy-going approach fit well with ours. And that is not to say that Joe’s professionalism or attention to detail were compromised. I appreciated him adjusting my cathedral veil and train of my dress for many shots he took. Joe was on top of it and reliable without being overbearing or overwhelming throughout the entirety of working with him. On the day of, he had some unique and beautiful ideas for shots which we loved. He was also not up in everybody’s faces yet still managed to get SO MANY beautiful shots of everything on our big day. We recommend Joe to anyone looking for a professional and quality photographer who is a pleasure to work with!

Hello everyone! Just wanted to give a shoutout to JTate Design. Joe is a photographer in the Northeast Ohio area and if you're looking for a fantastic experience, please get in contact with him. Five stars across the board. As a plus size bride, photos were my greatest concern. Wedding photos are the one thing that stands the text of time, and I wanted to love them, while also knowing it is very difficult for me to accept photos of myself. I shared my concerns with Joe during our engagement session, and he listened to them. In no time my husband and I were comfortable, and Joe was able to capture all the love and joy at our event. I also adore some of the unique touches he included, showing he got to know us as a couple. All of his work was on time, and his prices were fantastic. Thank you, Joe! My biggest problem? Figuring out which ones to frame!

I can't explain how much of a big POSITIVE role this photographer played in our wedding day and making all things run smoothly! He was EXCELLENT! Joe is extremely professional and flexible. We had to reschedule our engagement shoot many times, and not once was he anything but accommodating. My now husband and I had no idea what we were doing for poses or how things should go, and Joe not only guided us when we needed to guided, but also just went with the flow of how we act as a couple, producing AMAZING photos from it - great quality photos with vibrant color and detail. Joe is also the fastest out of all the vendors we hired in responding back to questions or emails/texts, every time responding in less than 24 hours. Joe also the day of our wedding was a huge help to me, personally, as the bride whose bridesmaids and MOH were MIA half the day. Joe helped me fluff my dress, pick the twigs and leaves out of it, taught me how to hold my train and helped make sure I was safely walking on the grass, stairs, and other things he had us trek through in order to get the photos we asked for - this was above and beyond in my book! I just cannot say enough about how great of an experience we had with this photographer. We will be using him for all our future photo needs, and we HIGHLY recommend, as the value in price for the quality you get is on point!

Joe did an amazing job with our wedding photos! He was professional from start to finish- even our guests mentioned how unobtrusive he was during our event. I was afraid he wasn’t able to capture some important moments, but let me tell you, he captured ALL of them and every picture was more beautiful than the last!! When my husband-to-be and I found Joe, we were incredible pleased as his style fit us perfectly. We wanted a mix of candid and posed pictures, and Joe was able to create beautiful moments even though we were nervous posing for pictures. During the ceremony, he did not crowd the entrance or the view for others, and yet he was able to capture incredible photos. Joe really took the time to get to know us as a couple and understand what we were looking for (e.g., we wanted a variety of photos of the guests, candid photos, etc.) prior to the wedding day, and he made himself easily and quickly accessible via email, phone, and text. Overall, Joe was an absolute pleasure to work with before, during, and after our wedding day. He made us feel comfortable and delivered a plethora of stunning pictures and special moments that went above and beyond my hopes and expectations. My husband and I would highly recommend him for any occasion.

While planning our wedding, my now husband and I were scouring The Knot looking for someone whose photography style matched our vision for the big day. We stumbled upon JTate Design and, one phone conversation with him later, we knew we'd found our photographer. Joe is one of the nicest people we've ever met and he's so easy to work with as he has great ideas about potential shots and posing, etc. He photographed our engagement shots and our wedding and both sessions were full of laughs and thoughtful capturing of our special moments. Choosing Joe was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding and I highly recommend him for any occasion! Joe was excellent for our winter wedding! He was very creative with the scenery we had at the church and at a nearby park with some snow. I was a bride set on having two photographers, but couldn’t afford it and Joe showed me that you do not need two photographers to capture everything on your big day. Look no further for a photographer for any occasion! We were searching for a photographer for our wedding and we found Joe Tate through the Knot website. We were so impressed with his professionalism from start to finish. He listened to us in terms of what we wanted from him and he delivered us exactly what we wanted. He did a great job with capturing unforgettable moments and we are so thankful we went with him. He also had a very fast turn around. Couldn't be happier with the choice we made going with Joe for our engagement and wedding photos. He's incredibly professional and friendly and his work is amazing! He works with you to make sure you get the shots and style you want. On our wedding day he showed up early and we had plenty of time to get all the photos wanted and made sure everything ran smoothly. I loved that we got a CD and flash drive of all the edited photos with the copy rights and with the option to order some photos through him (at a great price and for the better quality than taking them to Walgreens). His pricing is very reasonable and the quality of photos is spectacular. Highly recommended and plan of working with him again in the future!

We had our wedding a few weeks ago, and we are so happy to have Joe as our photographer! He was wonderful - efficient, professional, friendly, and checked up with us throughout the night to make sure he got all the shots we wanted. He even helped us out to coordinate with our other vendors - there were a few times where he could read our expressions of confusion (for example "wait... what time is the cake cutting?" or "oh where is X - she needs a corsage"). He did such an excellent job for us with respect to photos, but also was around us for a good deal of the day and was phenomenal with helping everything go smoothly! We just got our teaser photos today and they are beautiful, he’s done such an amazing job and we can’t wait to see the rest! We HIGHLY recommend him; thank you so much for helping to make our day special and memorable!!!

We are so happy that we went with Joe for our photographer on our big day! He is very professional, very responsive and knows the art of photography very well! I was referred to Joe by two brides who couldn’t have been happier with him and his outstanding work. Joe consistently takes beautiful photographs, capturing the special moments you forget or miss and I knew I would love to have him for my own wedding. While all I have is the “teaser” so far, I am nothing but ecstatic with the work that he has done. He arrived early at my venue to scout out locations and document the little touches during set up. When we arrived, he had a plan ready for us but remained flexible, as we are a bit of a disorganized group. I was so impressed by the way he went with the flow with me, as I was a bit less prepared than I should have been and appreciated his understanding and professionalism. Joe really managed to stay in the thick of the action then entire night, without it feeling the least bit intrusive. The pictures that we have received from the wedding speak to his incredible artistry. They are unique, creative, professional and downright beautiful. He has given us such amazing reminders of a special day and for that, we are so thankful. If you are looking for a creative, professional, accommodating photographer, look no further.

Joe was my photographer for my wedding. I have not seen my pictures yet, but I already know he did an amazing job. It started raining as soon as we were leaving for pictures, so Joe had another plan ready to go. He found great spots that kept us out of the rain when needed. He is friendly and has a great eye for photo-ops. The price is great too!
