Early in the night she got the party started by playing songs that appeal to every generation, then later in the night kept it going with a mix of more modern songs and classics. She knew exactly how long to play each song (she never cut any of the songs off too early), and her transitions were great. She did a great job prioritizing the songs we gave her and everything she played that wasn’t on that list fit in perfectly and showed how well she understood what we were going for. We also told her we didn’t want her to be a hype woman for the dance floor and she did not, she just let the music speak for itself. The dance floor was never empty, and after the wedding, one of the main comments we got from our guests was about how much fun the music was.

He accommodated all of our song requests (even a surprise song request day of from my maid of honor to fit with her toast!) and had spot on recommendations for cocktail hour and the reception. The energy at the reception exceeded our expectations and because of Dave’s read of the room, the majority of our guests stayed on the dance floor for 2+ hours! We are so glad we hired JTD Productions, and Dave in particular, for our special day. He was professional, so fun to chat with and such a nice person to have a part of our day. Another awesome part of JTD Productions is that they contribute a percentage of the cost to a nonprofit. A DJ is an integral part of a wedding and we highly recommend JTD Productions to other couples looking for one in the Hudson Valley.

Dave and his team can also play from any Spotify playlist that you create too, and play it in an order that makes the most sense for your party, so you can get in every song of your dreams and have it done in a way that is purely perfect! He also can fill in any extra time with his choice of songs that fit your style perfectly! 20/10 would recommend for EVERY wedding!

ot of specific music requirements for our ceremony and cocktail hour that weren't in their list of songs, but Shawn was able to get them all prior to the day. We only had a few specific requests for the reception and just let Shawn read the room and play what made sense, and I'm so glad we left it to him! Most of my husband's family is Cuban and Puerto Rican and Shawn noticed that a Spanish song got a lot of people on the dance floor, so he worked in a good amount of Spanish music to keep the party going. I got a lot of compliments about the music and my friends and family (and us!) had a great time dancing all night. I would highly recommend Shawn as your DJ, and JTD Productions overall.

e us who love music and couldn't wait to dance all night! We liked the look of JTD Productions from their website, and Dave Leonard, the owner, offered us DJs from a few different price tiers. We spoke to DJs from the middle tier and the lowest tier and we immediately vibed with MK, who happened to be the most affordable (although she may not be for long!). She totally "got" our tastes — she happens to be a Swiftie like me but she obviously caters to a wide range of preferences — and she took our ideas and requests and made a playlist that was way better than we could've dreamed up. Like, it was our taste in music but better and cooler? She even helped us come up with perfect songs to walk up and down the aisle to. She had so many great ideas from different eras and genres. On the big day, she kept the dance floor full the whole reception with guests of all ages. Throughout the process, she was also a total professional and a joy to work with. I'll always remember and treasure the music from our special day. I wish she could've played hours more. Oh the company overall was nice to work with, too. Dave sent me reminders to make payments, and they have an interface on their site for you to enter your requests which was a really fun activity for me and my husband. 100 out of 10 recommend MK and JTD.

Dave took the extra time and effort to coordinate all things music ahead of time so that everything was under control, and we didn’t have an extra thing to worry about. His positive attitude is infectious, he’s a great communicator, prompt with responses while also being patient (which we greatly appreciate because we’re not great at timely communication ourselves😅). As I’m typing this, I just got a text from one of our guests saying that our wedding was one of the funnest they’ve ever been to, and I can confidently say that much of the credit for that goes to our DJ. We couldn’t believe it when we came back from taking our couples’ photos and the dance floor was completely full before dinner was even finished being served! It was exactly the energy we wanted on our big day, and we’re grateful we had Dave to make it so.

All of the music was perfect - from the first dance, to dinner music that showcased our love for alt/indie/folk, to a last minute slow dance for my dad and grandma, and the fun dance floor hits that, and I quote, made my cousin feel like she was "dancing in a frat house basement" (HUGE compliment). Everything was perfect, and EVERYONE had an incredible time! THANK YOU DAVE!

He announced the wrong people as the bride and groom! I was livid! Our entrance officially as husband and wife, ruined, given to someone else. Then, even though we said we would allow requests, he never played a single song anyone requested and then if that wasn’t terrible enough when my dad asked for a request he was beyond rude to him even though he had enough time still to play another song. The next day, I emailed the owner to express my frustrations and how appalled we were, after a week of back and forth he says he will give us our tip money back & proceeds to send an email making excuses and blaming us basically for his DJs mistakes, I’m sorry how did we mess up the entrance to our reception? Please think twice before choosing this company for your special day. You want happy memories, not stressful, Upsetting ones.

edding twice due to covid, and JTD and Michael were so flexible with us. We were specific on our requests for our wedding reception and Michael graciously met all of our needs. We can't recommend them enough!

xperience and knew what he was talking about/doing. Even so, it is only natural to worry about every detail in a wedding, and music is a big deal obviously. We needn't have worried - Dave came through and did a great job. He had our guests dancing like crazy and the music was exactly as we had discussed beforehand - there wasn't a single hiccup I can think of musically, which is saying something. We couldn't have been happier with how things worked out, and if we were to do it again, we'd go with JTD with no hesitation. The only minor quibble I'd mention is that if you'd like Dave to DJ personally, as opposed to one of the other DJ's in his stable, it'll cost a bit more. Other than that, you're in good hands.

Our entire party was dancing the night away and when the party ended it was next to impossible to get everyone off the dance floor. 10/10 5 stars!

He even obliged an encore for 3 additional songs. The next day, 2 guests asked me for his info to refer to their loved ones while my 3 year old nephew told his mom, "My legs are still wiggly." Dave most recently worked our daughter’s wedding on October 2, 2021, providing music and MC services from cocktail hour through the sparkler exit. He is an enthusiastic professional who is a lot of fun to work with! He consulted with our daughter and son-in law regarding the music playlist and touched base with both of us on our desired timeline and flow of the evening, adding great suggestions to keep the party moving and the guests dancing. Dave responds to changing situations seamlessly. At one point a glass was broken on the dance floor and without skipping a beat, the music changed to “Walking on Broken Glass” ~ instantly diffusing any tension and keeping the guests totally entertained! In addition to the music and MC services Dave provided festive uplighting and set us up with a quality cordless microphone for clear, easy to understand speeches. Importantly, he also works effortlessly with the venue staff and is very responsive! Dave and his JTD team are top notch-simply THE BEST! I’d hire them again in a heartbeat!!

the pandemic it was pushed. The whole team was able to push to our new date no problem. Shawn was extremely nice and helpful and a welcoming vibe. He was very easy going in the planning process. I created a share document for us to exchange music ideas and it became really fun. On the big day, he was totally on point playing exactly the best song to play at each moment. He played our list, but also through in some of his own picks that fit the day perfectly. I could not help but tip them at the end of the day, they were all extremely professional and we all had an amazing time - totally worth it. People say it was the best wedding ever. Book JTD and you won't be disappointed!

We intend to have a bigger reception in the future, and we will absolutely be using Dave and JTD.

Dave was super flexible about changing dates and then worked with us to make sure that our "new" wedding plan would go off without a hitch from a music perspective. He was able to tailor a custom playlist for us using just a few suggestions to get our "vibe". He also worked seamlessly with our other vendors to make sure he hit every timing que. From our first dance, to personalized songs for the BM and MOH speeches Dave nailed EVERYTHING. The music was great, the up lights he brought added some great atmosphere, and most importantly Dave made things EASY. We didn't have to worry about anything and the whole thing came off perfect. 10 out of 10 stars!

getting fitted... countless hours on this HUGE event that we will both remember for the rest of our lives. What am are we most worried about? If people are going to have a good time. We invited 180 of our friends, families, and even a few people from work to enjoy the day with us. But our goal was always to make sure people had a good time. The folks at JTD are nothing but professionals and absolutely brought the party. Not only did the dance floor flood with people but it stayed that way the WHOLE NIGHT. All we wanted was to give a good time, and that's what JTD did. We gave them a base selection of songs and intros and Micheal did the rest. If I could give these folks more than 5 stars I absolutely would. By the end of the night, we had people asking who these guys were and looking to book for their wedding. We were absolutely blessed to have them and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone.

The most impressive thing for us was how flawless/fluid the transition was between the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Doug was prepared, and was working like a master in the background...without having to get us involved. On your wedding day the less you need to think...the better and Doug ensured that was the case. I would recommend JTD, and specifically Doug for any occasion where DJ services are needed.

Scott did the best job not only playing our requests but also reading the vibe of the room and making everyone dance in their seats during dinner and kick their shoes off on the dance floor... which was packed from start to finish. He also was super helpful making announcements for shuttles, favors, and reminders. Scott was great at communicating and was the perfect fit for our best day ever. All of our guests had the best time and we wish we could do it all over again! A few of our guests are professional DJs and went out of their way to compliment Scott on a job well done.
