We cannot say enough good things about Joe! From the moment we met him, he blended seamlessly into the experience, capturing the most genuine and heartfelt moments of our elopement...
without ever forcing anything or making us feel like we were "posing." It felt like he was part of the natural flow of the day, which made the entire experience so comfortable and laid-back.
Joe’s professionalism truly shone through. He worked around our unique timeline and even managed to photograph at two different locations without a hitch! We never felt pressured, rushed, or uncomfortable. He made the entire process smooth and enjoyable especially for us not being super comfortable in front of a camera.
But the real magic happened when we received our photos. We were completely speechless! It felt like we were reliving every moment again—pinching ourselves that those incredible images were actually of us. Joe captured the essence of our love so beautifully, we couldn’t believe how perfect every shot was. We appreciate his thoughtfulness in the delivery of images with special gift and keeping this secret off social media til we were ready to share.

d planning the different events, it was most important to us to have a photographer experienced in mountain top celebrations. We decided to work with Joe and could not have chosen better.
Joe not only ran up a mountain with us but was involved in all the planning details including sharing a list of the best larch hikes, watching the weather and pinpointing exactly when golden hour would be hitting specific peaks. Even as the sun was setting and the light was fading, Joe found all the last bits of alpenglow to make us feel and look like we were the only ones standing on top of the world. He even carried heavy film cameras with him to capture the evening and we're so glad he did as they resulted in some of our favorite photos.
The photos Joe took exceeded all our expectations and we have been excited and proud to share them with all our friends and family.
Joe's skill doesn't stop on a mountain top. For our micro and macro party events, he brought an incredible sense of calm and serenity to all the wedding chaos around us. He was somehow everywhere, capturing incredible candid moments while still taking leadership to direct the posed shots we wanted.
Joe captured the differences and highlighted the uniqueness in each of our events and yet each gallery we received feels cohesive and timeless. It's impossible to choose favorites and it's going to be very difficult to determine which photos to hang on our walls.

We hired Joe as the photographer for our wedding and man did he deliver. Approximately a month after our wedding, he sent us all 1,041 photos from the day in an adorable little box containing a USB with all the photos, as well as some hand-selected prints from him, plus a little bonus gift from him that I won't ruin for any future clients. My wife and I spent the evening going through every single one of them. Every single one was absolutely stunning and amazing in its own way. Going through them really made us relive the day, along with every emotion that came with it. Not to mention that he photographed our wedding on a very rainy day. He never complained, never even mentioned the weather, and his willingness to put up with whatever the day threw at him, I believe, speaks volumes to his character and his commitment to his craft. Joe is an astounding photographer and a wonderful person to work with. I cannot recommend him enough for whatever you may need him for.

We got married at Salish Lodge and Spa and he knows all the ins and outs for photos in and around there (the event staff at Salish are on a first name basis with him).
It happened to be pouring down rain on our wedding day and he had all his gear prepared and it wasn't an issue at all. Also, he made sure that we were comfortable and knew spots that we could get to without too much fuss but still have great shots.

His pre-photoshoot communication is very clear and he gives good instructions during the photoshoot as well to direct the image without feeling too much like models. Having your photograph taken can easily be awkward but Joe made us laugh and become comfortable quickly. VID hit we had to reschedule our wedding once then had to cancel it completely and start all over within a few months. The only thing we kept from our originally planned wedding was Joe. We worked out the best new date so he could make it. We had a small ceremony and reception and the photos turned out amazing. o we! We had a beautiful day on the mountain. He made us feel so comfortable behind the camera and really it was just a fun time. Joe is very good at communication, outlining what to expect, and really getting a sense of what you want. By the time our wedding rolled around, Joe felt like an old friend. y. Before we even started planning the wedding, we’d talked about how having good photos to look back on was a big priority; we’re both pretty nostalgic and love looking back over photos. We fell in love with Joe’s portfolio: his attention to detail, eye for light, love of nature, and the way he can capture the sweet moments between a couple.
