We took three dresses to Judy’s Bridal for alterations: my daughter’s wedding dress, my mother of the bride dress, and a 1950s tulle reception dress that needed to be taken out just slightly. For under $1500 total, Judy and her team made each dress PERFECT! I’d been worried about how the ornate beading and lace on our daughter’s wedding dress would be impacted when trying to shorten it slightly. I should not have been worried! Judy painstakingly removed each bead around the bottom of the dress and replaced it in the same pattern after shortening the front. It’s seamless! You would never guess any alteration had been done. And that’s the same with the dress’ beaded straps that needed to be shortened: seamless perfection! My daughter’s dress fit her beautifully and was just stunning! My mother of the bride dress was also heavily beaded (and sequined), and it had quite a few layers of tulle and lining. Judy cut off the bottom 13” (I’m quite short!), hemmed it beautifully, replaced the beads and sequins perfectly, and took up the sleeves so that they fit nicely. I got SO many compliments on my dress! Finally, we weren’t sure whether anything could be done to make this 1950s tea-length tulle wedding dress work, but my daughter has loved it since she found it back in 2012. Judy and her team looked at the dress, took measurements, and expertly expanded the bodice by 1”. It fit perfectly and looked exactly as it had before! My daughter’s dream was to wear that dress for her reception, and Judy’s Bridal made it happen! I cannot say enough about the friendly EXPERTS at Judy’s Bridal. They are truly incredible!
