Hello, congrats on your engagement and welcome to Jule Stephans Photography! I am located in Grand Rapids, MI but I cater all over Michigan as well as anywhere around the world!
[ Currently, I am expecting our first child in August of this year, so for 2021 I am not taking clients from July-October to ensure I have ample time to rest and recover once Baby K arrives! I am booking for spring 2021 and all of 2022! ]
My goal as a wedding photographer: be there for YOU as a couple. My job is not only to capture all the best moments, guide you through family photos, and wrangle your bridal party but to ensure you are enjoying and staying in the moment on your wedding day. I make sure you aren't having to lift a finger or worry about anything. I am your assistant and your wedding photographer. I grab the tissues if they're needed, I help with boutonnieres, I make sure things are running on time or if you need a moment alone to relax! My clients can always count on me to get them through the day flawlessly and have all the best memories!
My style is a wonderfully thought out mix of natural and posed! As someone who doesn't love being in front of the camera, I get it, for some it seems scary and not so fun. But I take the time to get to know you both and let you get to know me so when we start, it's already feels less terrifying. Through suggestions, encouragement, and lots of fun my couples find their groove and forget I'm there allowing them to create these wonderful moments without my help! It's SO much fun to watch and capture my couples be together and love on one another. There is no greater joy in this job than seeing the love between two people and documenting it!

he perfect photographer to work with during such a wild year. She was very quick in responding to any questions we had and always took the time to hear out my ideas and visions for our day. One of the hardest things for me with coordinating all the moving pieces for the wedding was the day-of schedule and Julie jumped right in and offered her expertise and advice. Fast forward to our wedding day, Julie was integral in helpling our day move along and stay on schedule but in the most calm way possible. She was incredibly professional and helpful the whole day. The way they capture our day was more than I could imagine. Geoff’s highlight video came out so awesome I must of watched it 200 times! And Julie’s photos were on-point. Most of all, I loved their blog and the final touch of them sending us a keepsake box of all our memories. Julie went above and beyond in every way to accommodate whatever we asked for or needed, and was ulta-responsive to any concern, question, or requirement that we had leading up to our wedding and in the months afterwards. We received compliments from our guests as to how Julie and Geoff were able to work together and keep family organized and on-track during pictures, as well as work beside each other without a hitch. When we were out taking pictures with our wedding party, they were flexible and helpful when a location was inaccessible and there had to be a last-minute adjustment. We were so fortunate to have gone through the whole wedding process with them, as they provided some of the most personal touches to our day both in their professional work and as individuals.
