About this vendor
Hello, congrats on your engagement and welcome to Jule Stephans Photography! I am located in Grand Rapids, MI but I cater all over Michigan as well as anywhere around the world!
[ Currently, I am expecting our first child in August of this year, so for 2021 I am not taking clients from July-October to ensure I have ample time to rest and recover once Baby K arrives! I am booking for spring 2021 and all of 2022! ]
My goal as a wedding photographer: be there for YOU as a couple. My job is not only to capture all the best moments, guide you through family photos, and wrangle your bridal party but to ensure you are enjoying and staying in the moment on your wedding day. I make sure you aren't having to lift a finger or worry about anything. I am your assistant and your wedding photographer. I grab the tissues if they're needed, I help with boutonnieres, I make sure things are running on time or if you need a moment alone to relax! My clients can always count on me to get them through the day flawlessly and have all the best memories!
My style is a wonderfully thought out mix of natural and posed! As someone who doesn't love being in front of the camera, I get it, for some it seems scary and not so fun. But I take the time to get to know you both and let you get to know me so when we start, it's already feels less terrifying. Through suggestions, encouragement, and lots of fun my couples find their groove and forget I'm there allowing them to create these wonderful moments without my help! It's SO much fun to watch and capture my couples be together and love on one another. There is no greater joy in this job than seeing the love between two people and documenting it!
So let's chat, maybe over coffee, a brew, or food! How you met, how he proposed, and how we can make your day as wonderful and smooth as possible!
Please submit an inquiring through my website for quick responses so I can get all the necessary details from you and get you the perfect package that reflects what you want and need covered on your wedding day!

If I could give this review 10 stars I would! Julie was a fabulous photographer from start to finish. My husband and I got married in October 2020, in Traverse City MI. Julie was t...
he perfect photographer to work with during such a wild year. She was very quick in responding to any questions we had and always took the time to hear out my ideas and visions for our day. One of the hardest things for me with coordinating all the moving pieces for the wedding was the day-of schedule and Julie jumped right in and offered her expertise and advice. Fast forward to our wedding day, Julie was integral in helpling our day move along and stay on schedule but in the most calm way possible. She was incredibly professional and helpful the whole day. Our wedding photos came out AH-MAZE-ING! Seriously in love with Julie's style of photography and her approach to wedding photography. If you're looking for a wedding photographer, STOP SEARCHING, and pick Julie! You will not be disappointed!
Julie is amazing at what she does. Her photos are beautiful, and she does an excellent job at cueing the group to do what looks best. She has great ideas and is honest about what w...
orks and what doesn't. She dealt with our large and rowdy wedding party expertly, and we are very thankful.
Julie and Geoff are great! They both are really kind and helpful. They never make you feel like you are asking too much of them and are willing to go above and beyond. They also ar...
e really great at guiding the family photos which I think is super important. Our photos turned out beautiful, we are so happy! Thanks Julie and Geoff!
We had such a pleasure to work with Geoff and Julie for our May wedding. They were both very accommodating and easy to work with. I knew I wanted to work with them after our first...
conversation. Not only are they responsive but they are also very flexible with meetings our needs. And very affordable. The end result was beautiful. The way they capture our day was more than I could imagine. Geoff’s highlight video came out so awesome I must of watched it 200 times! And Julie’s photos were on-point. Most of all, I loved their blog and the final touch of them sending us a keepsake box of all our memories. It’s really nice to know that during the craziness and hectic of your wedding day that you do not have to worry about your moments being capture to the T. Lastly, having all of your proofs and footage definitely sealed the deal. We’ll be reaching out to you again in the future, I’m sure!
I like to think we are a good looking couple, but we are also an extremely awkward couple with no experience standing in front of the camera. Additionally, standing still for a lon...
g time really wears on me. Julie and Geoff both photographed our wedding. We had getting ready photos followed by a first look which was extremely awkward (for me). Julie and Geoff made everyone feel comfortable. They were extremely flexible and half the time I didn't know they were there. The best part was how organized the family photos were!
We absolutely could not have asked for any better of a team than Julie and Geoff for our wedding day. Their ability to coordinate, keep me calm (and even fed!), and organize was am...
azing!
They pay great attention to detail and find ways to make the grueling process of picture taking fun and engaging.
We would ABSOLUTELY recommend them for wedding services. You will NOT be disappointed.
Stunning photos!!! and so reasonably priced.
Julie and Geoff were the photographer and videographer for our August 2017 wedding and we couldn’t have been more satisfied working with them, along with our beautiful final produc...
ts! Julie went above and beyond in every way to accommodate whatever we asked for or needed, and was ulta-responsive to any concern, question, or requirement that we had leading up to our wedding and in the months afterwards. We received compliments from our guests as to how Julie and Geoff were able to work together and keep family organized and on-track during pictures, as well as work beside each other without a hitch. When we were out taking pictures with our wedding party, they were flexible and helpful when a location was inaccessible and there had to be a last-minute adjustment. We were so fortunate to have gone through the whole wedding process with them, as they provided some of the most personal touches to our day both in their professional work and as individuals. Thank you, you guys!
We booked Julie + Geoff as our photographer and videographer for our June 10th wedding in Traverse City, MI. Since we live in different states, we communicated via phone and email...
leading up to the wedding. Julie and Geoff were so responsive and helpful during the planning process. They made us feel so confident! When the wedding day came, working with Julie and Geoff in person was just as easy and seamless! They are a perfect team. They captured all the shots we had in mind and did such an awesome job keeping the wedding party and families in order. The sneak peeks they shared after the wedding are AMAZING!! Absolutely stunning! I love each photo and can't wait to see more + the video. Thank you Julie and Geoff -- you guys are SO awesome!
Julie and Geoff were great! They worked with us through every step of the process, listened very closely to everything we wanted and accommodated all of our wants. They were by far...
one of the easiest wedding vendors to work with and made the process fun. Our finished products came out amazing and are more than we could have ever hoped for!
All I can say is WOW! Julie did a phenomenal job photographing our wedding. She captured once in a lifetime moments and her talent shows in all of her photographs. I was so worried...
being out of town and with our wedding in Detroit, that we would not find places to photograph the wedding party. Julie went out of her way to find the most incredible and fitting places downtown Detroit to capture our wedding party. I must say that she puts your mind at ease. She was in constant communication before, during and after our wedding and was with us every step of our journey. I cannot thank Two 9 Two Media enough for making our special day even more memorable. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!
