Hey hey, Julie and Rad here from Jules and Conrad Photography, a husband-and-wife wedding photography team, based in Asheville, NC (where we got married). Before settling down in Asheville, we lived in eight countries together. We spent countless days learning the ins and outs of our cameras and striving to create timeless images to preserve our memories. One of our clients (now dear friends) saw our travel photos and asked us to shoot her wedding. We fell in love with shooting weddings and elopements, and now there’s no looking back. We want to tell your story, be your cheerleaders, help you with your timeline, and be your go-to person to ensure your day feels like you.

We met in Da Nang, Vietnam but moved to Asheville in 2020. We have lived in several countries together and needless to say, we love traveling and taking photos. In our free time, you can find us hiking with our daughter, making cold brew, listening to a new audiobook, taking an online course, planning a styled editorial, doing yoga, going to see live music, or hanging with friends and family. We feel like we are the luckiest to be able to travel and document love stories for a living.

They go above and beyond and helped in ways on our wedding day that were not required of them ensuring the day as a whole went smoothly for us. I also love how Jules remembered small details about my photography style preferences (such as forced flash and lots of movement in the photos they took) and she made sure to incorporate that into the photos. I would recommend them over & over again and will definitely be reaching out to work with them again for some family photos in the future.

What we didn't know is that Jules and Conrad would become one of the highlights of our entire wedding planning process. We happily did engagement photos, bridal photos, budoir photos, and wedding photos with Jules and Conrad and it was just a wonderful and stress free process. During our engagement session we were nervous taking professional photos for the first time. Jules was behind the camera making us feel comfortable, coaching us into poses she loved and I had as inspo, and getting to know us. Conrad was close by, finding new photo spots to help the process move quickly. Our pictures looked like US and truly captured the happiness we shared and we were shocked with how many photos we received! During my bridal session I wanted to capture the details of my dress and some classy budoirs. I had never done something like this and never had individual photos taken, so Jules was a dream. She made me feel so confident, capturing the details I loved and showing me pictures along that way to help me see how the vision was coming to life. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's something I highly recommend doing if you're at all interested - especially with someone like Jules who is just the sweetest human. my photos turned out gorgeous and are such a celebration of a wonderful time of my life. Wedding day we had both Jules and Conrad and Conrad confidently moved our guests around for photos, captured so many candid moments, and many detail shots from parts of the wedding I never even saw in person! The photos are absolutely stunning and getting to know Jules and Conrad was such a happy part of our time wedding planning!

We never felt uncomfortable (which is shocking because my husband and I hate having our photo taken) and all our wedding party and families completely adored them. They even went the extra mile and gave us a ride home, which we desperately needed, when our ride to pick us up after the wedding reception never showed. be just us, turned into us and 8 of our closest family members- Jules and Conrad were so incredibly flexible, offered great suggestions, and were very easy to communicate with! For our ceremony we were in a small cabin, and we forgot photos were being taken, our families didn’t feel anything was taken away- Jules and Conrad were true professionals, and listened to what we wanted. A small, quiet, and intimate elopement Of course in true Asheville fashion, for a February elopement, it was overcast and rainy- Conrad found a great spot that Jules was able to still take some amazing photos using the weather to our advantage. They have the best advice (for two people who don’t like to take pictures), and we ended up enjoying that time. Bonus- all of our photos were edited and ready in just a few weeks!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
