Julia & Ken Photography

were our contact people throughout process. They were great at communicating and got our sneak peek and final album completed so quickly. The pictures are beautiful. We will cherish them forever.

ositive experience. It's so important to have photographers that are both logistically and artistically talented (not to mention fun!) to get the wedding photos you want and they're some of the best! We HIGHLY recommend booking with them!

with their work. I reached out to them and they responded immediately! I was shocked! I had good vibes right away. We first scheduled a zoom call so we could chat details and ask any questions before booking with them. After this initial call we could tell they were going to be the perfect fit. They are the sweetest couple and we thought, who better to capture our love than a fun, loving couple?! After booking we received the sweetest welcome/engagement gift from them and it was clear, Julia and Ken go above and beyond for their clients and are so thoughtful. My husband and I chose the package that included an engagement session. I cannot recommend this enough! Going into our engagement session Julia and Ken were in constant contact with me answering all my questions from where we should shoot to what outfits they recommend we wear. During our engagement session it gave us a chance to really get to know each other. They made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and had us laughing so much! I think our favorite direction they gave us was to "giggle kiss"! We were in awe when we received our engagement gallery. They shot with both digital and film and the results were so dreamy! They captured our love and personalities so well! The photos Julia and Ken deliver are bright and timeless which is something I wanted in time where there are so many trendy looks. After our experience with our engagement shoot it left us so excited for our wedding day! Julia helped me work through a day of wedding timeline and was patient with me while I tried to tweak things only to then go back to what she had originally suggested. Let me tell you, they really know what they are doing and know how long certain things will take, so just take their word for it! Leading up to our big day Julia and Ken were sure to check in with us to make sure everything was going okay and to see if we had any last minute questions etc. They really make you feel calm in what can feel like a very stressful time. When Julia and Ken arrived on our wedding day I was so excited to see them! They just fit right in and knew exactly where to start! They captured everything perfectly from the details, to getting ready, our bride and groom portraits, group shots with a large number of people and a handful of small children. They handled everything effortlessly and photos seemed to run seamlessly from one shot to the next! Again, we were left in awe receiving our sneak peaks just a few days after the wedding. Then when we received our full wedding gallery, (along with a personalized bottle of champagne to sip on while we viewed our photos (so thoughtful!) not even a month after our wedding we were in LOVE! They delivered on all the portraits we wanted and they also did a fantastic job capturing all the fun at our reception! These are photos we will cherish for a lifetime! If you are on the fence about booking this amazing couple I can promise you it is worth the investment! Here is a little message that I found rings so true, especially on your wedding day that goes by in a blink of an eye - "We take photos as a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone." Book with Julia and Ken and you will forever have the return ticket to your Big Day! ~The Pippins

eat job accommodating us during our almost three year engagement. Our wedding took place at Black Mountain Lodge (A-Basin) and they captured both grand and intimate photos beautifully. We highly recommend Julia & Ken if you're looking for a timeless and elegant Denver area photographer!

odating. They guided me towards my wedding vision every step on the way. We had Christy and Gavyn on our special day and they made it the best it could of been! The photos are spectacular and will bring a smile to our faces for years to come!

working together, so they do an excellent job of getting every single shot. Their editing style is timeless, light, and bright. Everything I was looking for. They have simply been a dream to work with, and helped us find many of our other vendors. They truly captured every single element of our wedding, and I have loved looking back at the photos to relive every moment of it. From the candid shots to portraits they really can do it all. They helped make what could have felt like a hectic day easy, and created a seamless timeline to ensure we got all of our desired shots. They worked with our planner to have constant communication, and were good at going with the flow of changes that had to be made. They are an amazing, thoughtful team. They made us feel so comfortable doing photo sessions with them, and it helped make our photos look even more authentic. Look no further for the photography team that will make your wedding dreams come true. They really are the best. I cannot say enough positive things about them.

ostponed our wedding twice and they stuck by us each time and ensured that they would still work with us! They always responded to emails quickly and always made us feel heard! We received our photos two weeks after our wedding and it came with an amazing personalized gift! There is not a single photo we received that we did not like and everyone was blown away by the pictures and the quality. We will use Julia and Ken for all of our photography needs in the future!

our wedding due to covid. They will also be doing our larger 'sequel wedding' next year and we can't wait to have them there. They have been so easy to work with, they made us feel so comfortable with different poses, etc., and their photographic style is so beautiful and bright. They have also been so responsive to any of our questions along the way. Thanks, Julia and Ken!!

to know us as a couple. This made us feel really comfortable which is a feeling you want from photographers that will be shooting very special and intimate moments. As these are photos that we will cherish for the rest of our lives, we really preferred photos that were natural and displayed all of the colors that we put into planning out our day. Their edits and shots really captured that. Julia and Ken are very transparent, thorough, and are very professional when is comes to the wedding business. I would recommend them to any of my friends getting married and rate them a 12/10!

ndors. The photos came back to us well before the promised date (along with a little gift) and turned out beautifully. I really could not have asked for a better experience, thank you guys so much!

e photos among the most fun and the most beautiful parts of our wedding! They are extremely responsive and attentive. We walked out of our very first meeting not wanting to even consider anyone else - and we're so glad we found them! The engagement photos and the wedding photos were beautiful. They took their time with us during the shoots and in correspondence beforehand. Then, they were so efficient in sharing sneak peeks and then to share the full albums of the curated photos - way faster than we anticipated! They got the lighting right and were creative in the photos they suggested. And, finally, the album - we are so glad we choose to have Julia and Ken help us create our first heirloom as a family. They were so on top of it and so organized and were patient with us through and through to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. On top of that, they were just extremely thoughtful. Both came to our walk-through. They helped provide templates. They thought of unique ways to make us feel like a fiances and later like a special bride and groom. They are well-connected and maintained strong relationships with our other vendors, which made things very easy for us. We are so thrilled we found them and recommend them very very highly! Thank you so much, Julia & Ken!

ographing so that everyone feels more relaxed during pictures, which was extremely beneficial for my husband who dreads taking pictures. Ken was always so encouraging throughout every photo session to keep our spirits up and Julia has the sweetest demeanor and a really good eye for detail; together they capture the best moments. Julia and Ken were very professional throughout the entire process, showed up on time if not earlier than scheduled, and made sure to capture every photo that we wanted them to. They listened to us when we had questions or concerns and made sure that we were happy with the results. We highly recommend using Julia and Ken Photography if you want to work with amazing people and have beautiful pictures!

e to have a male shooting the guys getting ready, and vice versa. Julia and Ken work so well together and got every shot that I had in mind going into our wedding! They are so prompt on getting your photos back and with all their responses. They even sent us the sweetest wedding gift to enjoy as we viewed our photos. I can't wait to continue to have them photograph our family as it continues to grow. I would highly recommend them as your wedding and engagement photographers.

right away they were professionals. They were experts at what they do, plus they were super easy to talk to/communicate with. During the planning process, Julia and Ken helped guide Michael and I in planning out our photography timeline. They also provided us with a booklet that helped us decide who all we wanted pictures with and any specifics we needed to provide them throughout the day. It made planning easy. The day of the wedding, Julia and Ken showed up on time and ready to work. They were a positive presence throughout the day while still providing us with direction in order to capture the perfect pictures. We are SO happy with the turnout of our pictures. I would recommend them with full confidence to anyone. Pictures are such a special way to reflect on your big day and you want the best to help capture those special moments - Julia and Ken did just that. Thank you, Julia and Ken! You two are truly wonderful and we are so glad that you captured our special day.

el very comfortable in front of the camera, which led to natural photos that don't look staged or cheesy. They knew exactly where to take photos for the best light and scenery. The engagement and wedding photos were perfect. I am so thankful we found them to capture our day. I cannot give a higher recommendation!

alk about their photographing style, prices, wedding advice in terms of a first look vs. no-first look and were super receptive and honest. They are both so sweet! They gave us great advice and were so helpful in creating a timeline specific for our needs. The day of our wedding the bridal party was super behind in terms of getting ready and they were so patient and accommodating. It also rained and they were able to pull off the groomsmen photos shortly before the ceremony started as the rain started to clear out. They are absolutely the best and we would definitely recommend them for your photographers!

hem on our wedding day! They were extremely responsive and easy to work with- very open to the types of poses what we wanted while still guiding us on what would look best on camera. Our poses looked natural and since we felt so comfortable we actually had fun and you can see it in both the engagement and wedding photos. Julia really understands how to coach couples through posing- which can be awkward but she made it feel effortless. I'm blown away by the gorgeous images they captured from our wedding day and I'm so glad we decided to work with them!! I'd absolutely recommend them and encourage couples to do engagement and wedding photos with them!

ment and wedding photos. They made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, as we are not typically photographed by a professional! Julia and Ken created a seamless wedding timeline, and we never felt pressured or rushed throughout our day. We highly recommend them for your big day!

first meeting they both were so patient with us as we didn’t know or have a lot of details about the wedding and offered so much help and recommendations for other vendors. We had some trouble scheduling the engagement pictures due to the weather but Julia and Ken were in constant communication with us and worked withus for scheduling. We were in the freezing snow and they never complained and if anything, made us so excited by their enthusiastic attitude. Julia was so responsive with any questions I sent out and they both were so upbeat, professional and polite during our wedding while ensuring they captured every important moment of the wedding. My husband and I were really uncomfortable about getting our pictures taken but they told us exactly what to do, were so patient with us and made us feel so special. I love looking through our pictures over and over and couldn’t be happier that we went with Julia and Ken. Thank you again!!!

eing in front of the camera can be daunting and frankly, a bit awkward. Julia and Ken made us feel so at ease and natural about it all. They give just enough posing and "direction" to make sure we looked our best, but still feel like ourselves. The playfulness and joy really shows through in the pictures. Everyone I have shown our photos to has commented that they look straight out of a magazine-- and they really do! J&K's attention to detail -- the lighting, the backgrounds, the pose -- was unmatched. Every shot they took was 5 stars. We are so very fortunate to have them capturing our special day! My new husband and I would recommend them over and over again.

hey even graciously went over the allotted time so that we didn’t feel rushed. We ended up using these photos for our save the dates, wedding website, and holiday photos. Thanks guys!

due to delays in hair/make-up) made our day even more special. The way they guided us thru all the fun poses made us so comfortable. My husband and I had genuine smiles on our faces the entire day and the photos turned out amazing! Julia & Ken are the sweetest couple and a dynamo wedding photography team. Even during the initial consultation, it's obvious that they love what they do and care about their clients. We had very high expectations for our wedding photographers and Team J&K easily exceeded all of them! Thank you again for the wonderful experience and for the amazing photos. We can't wait to rave about the two of you to all of our friends!

is amazing duo! Their work is beautiful and their photography skills are perfectly on point. Our wedding gallery was delivered so quickly with wonderful sneak peeks along the way. All the photos they captured were beautiful memories that we will cherish forever. We love Julia and Ken and could not be more appreciative to have found them for our engagement and wedding photographers!

d that they work as a team! Having another happy, sweet couple around is calming and reassuring when your big day can be quite stressful. They communicate clearly and efficiently which we really appreciated since its a busy time! Working with Julia and Ken felt like working with friends, they listen to what you want and give advice on how to make things look effortless and in the moment. They both have strong perspectives of what they want shot, meaning you get double the incredible photos! My Husband and I very much prefer to be behind the camera and that uncomfortable look often comes across in photos that other people take of us. When we got our photos back from Julia and Ken (VERY quickly I might add!) we didn't look nervous or uncomfortable at all because they really made the experience so enjoyable! We are looking forward to working with them again for our next major life events! All business aside, we now consider them friends and that's the true value in working with great people like them. We would highly recommend Julia and Ken for any of your photography needs!

most memorably, so joyful! Their inspiring energy and humor is so contagious and they deserve so much credit for making our wedding day go by so smoothly. The photos were perfect and everything we've hoped for! Julia and Ken's skill, experience, and creativity are on full display. We received a mix of beautiful portraits, getting ready photos, details and perfectly captured candid moments. We are so thankful that Julia and Ken were part of our wedding day, and we will cherish our photos forever!

estly can't imagine going through this experience without their guidance and expertise. Julia and Ken are exceptionally talented, professional, creative photographers that never lost sight of what we envisioned as our perfect wedding day. We would work with Julia and Ken again in a heartbeat. They were really amazing, and we've already talked two of our dearest friends into using them for their weddings!

them right away. We had to do research and be diligent. Then we met Julia and Ken, and we immediately knew that they had to be our photographers for the big day. They are so welcoming and warm, and we felt like not only did we want to hire them, we also wanted to be friends with them. We hired them soon after that meeting (and I talked to a much-less impressive photographer). From the beginning, the communication and coordination was excellent. They convinced us to do engagement pictures (I didn’t see the point at first), but am so glad we did. It was really great to get to know them better, and for them to get to know our slightly quirky and very playful personalities. We brought our dog and they were great with her, too. By the time our wedding day arrived, I was super excited to see Julia and Ken again! They were, again, so easy to work with and had scouted the best locations at our venue for pictures. They made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. My husband and I are not the type to thrive in posed environments, but they put us at ease for all of the portraits. I’d love it if they could come and tell me how great I look every day! All of our pictures went really smoothly, and they were flexible when it came to some minor schedule changes. They even let us scrap the sunset pictures we were scheduled to do because we wanted to spend that time on the dance floor. We were completely blown away by the final product. The pictures are beyond gorgeous, and I’m pretty sure my husband and I have never looked so good in photographs before. They captured so many great moments (a lot of me laughing) and the overall joy and fun of our wedding day of not only us, but our family and friends as well. One of my friends, who is a self-proclaimed wedding photograph snob, even complimented me on how great the pictures are. I would hire Julia & Ken again in an instant. They are clearly passionate about their art and it shows in their work and pictures.

ccommodating and helped us get everything planned out via email. We met for the first time on our wedding day and they were so kind and professional. They even managed to wrangle our whole group for a photo! We received the finished photos today and we absolutely love them! We're so pleased with the final product and it was so lovely working with them! We 100% recommend Julia & Ken!

s. They had excellent communication via email and even came out to the wedding venue visit. When Julia and Ken took our photos, my husband and I felt comfortable and relaxed. The poses always felt natural and we had a great time when we were with them. They have such warm personalities and everyone at our wedding party felt at ease when they took our photos. Both the engagement and wedding photos were beautiful and amazing; the pictures were everything we were hoping for and more! We highly recommend Julia and Ken for their superb service.

lans last minute. J&K were sooo accommodating for this late change. When we finally met J&K, I knew I had made the right choice in picking a uniquely married photo team because they vibbed so well together. The engagement photoshoot was a lot of fun, and they quickly put us at ease. They sent sneak peaks just a few hours later!! And sent us our full album in under a week!!! During our wedding, they captured detail shots stealthily. We had fun during our first look, which enabled us to take many photos without the barrage of guests. It was important for us to try to take photos with as many people as possible, so they helped us grab guests during cocktail hour. J&K stayed a little later than scheduled, to ensure that more of our evening events were photographed. Our wedding sneak peaks were available on the Friday night after our wedding--which made for a fun date night!!! The full album was ready in three weeks. The photos are ALL GORGEOUS!!!!! The colors and composition are absolutely brilliant. We got every photo we wanted, and more!! They sent us an amazing thank you gift afterwards, which was endearing and surprising because *we* owe *them* a gift for documenting our wedding in such a beautiful fashion. J&K are professional, efficient, warm, responsive, flexible, considerate, and fun. We are so happy to have met them and to share our wedding with them!

t we exchanged messages to the wedding day, Julia and Ken were friendly, professional, RESPONSIVE. and prompt. They are a lovely couple who can be trusted with your special events. J&K have full knowledge in the art of photography with the sentiment in pictures. They are budget-friendly, and the value received is worth far more. I highly recommend Julia and Ken for all events.

r wedding day (among other important life events). My husband and I met up with them in person to discuss details, and we felt connected to them right away - they are a wonderful couple and you can tell they are passionate about what they do! They were accommodating, responsive, open to our ideas, knowledgable, professional yet friendly. We were thrilled to receive early sneak peeks of our photos, which turned out beautifully! I was so happy that they were able to offer posing suggestions for us, our bridal party and families, which made the photos turn out even better. They were willing to get the shots we wanted, very patient and seamlessly worked the ceremony and reception to capture the important moments and details. Its a bonus that they are a couple, because they work together so well. I can't say enough about the quality of their work and services...I highly recommend them. Thank you Julia and Ken for capturing our big day so beautifully so we can remember it forever!

t especially teaching us the different poses. Our engagement and wedding photos look absolutely incredible. Thanks Julia and Ken for capturing these beautiful memories for us!

rnaround time (~1 week) in providing us the photos. Would love to have used them at our wedding, but we had a destination wedding. We'll definitely be going back to them in the future.

day until after we got the pictures delivered. At the wedding day, they were amazing, they helped us to get the best images to remember this important day in our lives. They placed us just in the right spot to get the best light and to avoid other people in the shot. They always had a eye out for where we were placing our hands, how our clothes were and etc. They were very open for all our suggestions and places to photograph. The pictures were breathtaking with exceptional work and post processing. Their photo style using natural lighting is beautiful. Julia & Ken were very friendly, welcoming and had lots of good energy! We totally recommend them!

or amazing photos. Their work speaks for itself, they captured all the moments of our guests and us that we missed since we were so busy greeting our guests. They did such a great job with our photos that all our friends are now using them for engagements, weddings and family portraits. Definitely book them, you will come out of the sessions creating life long friends

I will definitely use them again for the next milestone photos. :)

ocations! We are so thankful for the beautiful wedding photos and highly recommend J&K Photography.

the right wedding photographers. We checked out their portfolio - fell in love - and asked them if they'd photo. Thankfully they were available on our date! Throughout the planning process and the day-of, Julia and Ken were calm and confident, and most memorably, so joyful. Newlyweds themselves, their inspiring energy and humor was our keel, and, along with our day-of coordinator, deserve credit for making the day just perfect for us. Photos before the wedding were just what we needed to kick the day off. We couldn't stop laughing as they showered us with sweet compliments. Then as things picked up, they kicked into full pro mode, executing each phase of the schedule expeditiously, gently keeping us on track. And the photos! The photos are stunning. Julia and Ken's skill, experience, and creativity are on full display. From an epic recessional shot they planned and we immediately framed, to an end-of-the-night shot that we would never have thought of but is just beautiful, and everything in between, the moments captured perfectly are more than we could have dreamed, and we are so thankful to have them. We have looked through them several times since. Julia, Ken: you gave us an amazing gift, in the experience watching you two work, and in the photos that we'll cherish. Thank you.

an Julia and Ken doing our session. I can't wait to use them again for our next big milestone or occasion!

d definitely recommend hiring them. I thought it was so cool how they work together as a couple to capture moments from different angles, and they sent us some teaser photos right away! Thank you guys! <3

o add that I love how creative they are with their angles, poses, and their style is just perfect. If you appreciate the art of photography, you will appreciate their work. Truly inspirational!!! You can't find better photographers to shoot your engagement/wedding. Seriously.
