Julia made me and my wife feel so safe and comfortable during out engagement session and on our wedding day. We love the candid and natural photos she capture of us and our family & friends. We are so happy to have these pictures as our forever memories. We would recommend her over and over again!

Julia photographed our intimate elopement at the Seattle courthouse (with some very beautiful locations sprinkled in before/after!) and I can't recommend her more highly. She truly was such a special part of an already extremely special day. Before the wedding day, Julia was incredibly helpful with providing input/guidance on locations and scheduling to help us flush out our general idea for the day. Day of, Julia was fun, personable, and professional. And she was so incredibly skilled at ensuring we stayed on track of our timing, and helping us navigate organically through various poses and backdrops. The end result in the photos she delivered was more than I could have asked for. (As my dad said: "They look like movie posters!" and were "so romantic"). I never thought I'd want to hang pictures from my wedding all over my home, but I absolutely do now! Julia captured such special moments, beautiful locations, and the genuine emotions we felt throughout the day in an extremely artful, natural way. I'm so grateful we chose her as our photographer and would love to work with her again!

She somehow managed to be everywhere all at once. I had found Julia through a friend and followed her on instagram for a few years, knowing she would hopefully one day capture our wedding. Working with Julia was a wonderful experience! She was prompt in her responses and provided great guidance and suggestions. She got all the shots we wanted and more. We hired Julia to photograph our wedding and she was an absolute dream to work with. From the beginning, Julia was generous with her time and so easy to talk to as we worked out the initial details and then changed everything due to Covid. Because of our reschedule Julia was kind enough to offer an engagement shoot near our initial venue on Capitol Hill so we could capture some of the pictures we thought we would take on our wedding day. It made us feel like nothing was missed, even though we had to change our plans. On the day of the wedding Julia made sure we had time and space to capture all of the important moments, and the small ones that may have other wise been forgotten in the blur of the day. We cannot recommend Julia enough! After browsing through photographers’ portfolios, we were struck by how skillfully Julia captures each couple’s unique personalities and special moments. After our venue, she was the first vendor we booked. We knew that we wanted to prioritize our photographer since you’ll look at your wedding photos for the rest of your life! Due to COVID-19, we had to re-plan and then re-re-plan our wedding. Julia was always responsive, supportive, and positive. We are in the Seattle area, where she has tons of experience and knows great places to shoot. Even our other vendors rave about Julia – which is when you really know you’ve picked a good one! While rescheduling, other vendors made us feel like a checkbook, but Julia was ALWAYS empathetic and gave us as much flexibility as she could. In the end, we would have planned our microwedding around her availability to ensure that she could be our photographer. She shared a sneak peek of our photos the night of the wedding and we were able to get announcements printed from those incredible shots, and she shared our final virtual gallery within 3 weeks! We have gotten countless comments from our friends and family about how the photos are PERFECT – they feel like us, they are beautiful, and they capture our day. Choose Julia!

When we started wedding planning, I knew my first vendor before we picked a venue! After following her work for a while, I was over the moon that we got to work with Julia to capture our big day and I could not recommend Julia enough! Through all of the uncertainty of COVID-19, we always knew Julia would calm our nerves. We changed our plans multiple times and she adapted to each and every new idea and curveball that came our way. Julia has been an absolute joy to work with! She's been so understanding and truly cares about capturing little moments. Our engagement photos were stunning - we had to reschedule due to rain, but it ended up working out perfectly as we had a beautiful, sunny fall morning. Due to COVID-19, we had to reschedule the full wedding ceremony and reception and had a 'minimony' that she beautifully captured. Julia is AMAZING! I’ve been recommending Julia to couples long before I chose her to be my wedding photographer. Not only are her photos heavenly, but her professionalism and care for your big day is one of a kind. She really takes the time to make sure that she captures all of the special moments you want to cherish and takes so much of the stress out of the photography process. My husband and I ended up having a small ceremony 6 months before our planned event as we realized a year engagement just was too long to wait. So I messed Julia and she put in the extra time and care to photograph each of our special days. We've been struggling to write this review for months, because we've not yet been able to put into words just how incredible Julia was to work with! From the moment my partner and I met her over facetime she put us at ease. Like many couples, we had never had professional photos taken together and absolutely dreaded the thought of overly staged wedding photos. We were also nervous about how a photographer would capture our minimalist backyard wedding. But Julia's excitement and enthusiasm for our day was contagious and the stress melted away immediately. She was incredibly laid back and supportive of whatever we wanted to do. At the same time, she offered sage advice to ensure we wouldn't miss out on important moments of the day. While she was photographing us it felt more like hanging out with a good friend than anything else. She so perfectly captured the joy and emotion of our wedding day. The candid shots bring us to tears. Her vibrant colors and eye for detail highlighted the whimsical transformation of our backyard in a way we never thought possible. Best of all, our friends and family absolutely adored her (how could you not!?). I can't imagine loving our engagement and wedding photos more. I can't recommend working with Julia enough!

We were able to game plan a backup location for our wedding photos--which she booked on the spot during our meeting--to ensure that we wouldn't be scrambling on our wedding day. On the day, she was prompt, professional, and self-sufficient in terms of transportation between our getting ready spot and where we were taking wedding photos. Julia was beyond amazing! My husband and I are SO thrilled with the pictures we just received. They are perfect, and we got so many wonderful shots of our day. Julia was great throughout the whole planning process. Very laid back, and never pushy. On the wedding day she helped direct us to the best lighting, and captured every moment. Since my husband and I don't have a lot of experience getting our photos taken, we were a little nervous, but Julia and her second shooter Alex made us feel comfortable. We had a blast with the whole process, and the photos are beautiful! One of my favorite parts of the night was when Julia gave us a few printed Polaroids she had taken earlier. It was so nice to take a special moment with my new husband and reflect on what a great day were were having!

Julia was such a delight to have around on our special day. She came recommended by our day-of coordinator (so you already know she's great to work with), and when we were looking through her portfolio, I was taken with how well she captures couples' personalities - she gets the beautiful, dramatic shots, but also captures the little moments in between. My now-husband and I are incredibly awkward in front of the camera, but she is so good at putting you at ease and finding positions where you can just...be together, and she'll capture those moments for you. If you love the idea of candid shots, but tend to make weird faces when you try to get them (like me), Julia will magically make you photogenic. She's also quick - we had our photos within a month of our day! Take a look at her portfolio, and if that's the style you're looking for, you can rely on her to make it happen for your day. When my fiance, Cole, and I got engaged we wanted to book a photographer right away because capturing high-quality photos of our special day was a huge priority. Julia was an amazing photographer, I could not be happier with the photos she captured. I am not big into posed photos, I think they come off awkward and aren't as fun. When it came time to do the family group shots, she corralled everyone in a professional and firm way so that we didn’t have to waste the whole cocktail hour doing portraits. Julia was the BEST to work with for my wedding and engagement photos. Our wedding was an early morning start in Port Orchard. Not only was she able to make us feel so relaxed, but she totally understood my dream of PNW scenery. The photos turned out amazing. Of course, the groom, myself, and the bridal party all looked stunning--but more importantly, Julia managed to capture the genuine feelings from all of our guests. She was unobtrusive and guests acted like themselves, which made the photos truly special. Julia does photography for other life events such as maternity, labor, and boudoir pics. She would make anyone feel comfortable being photographer in these sensitive moments. I'm definitely keeping her in mind.
