As we were going through our photos from the wedding day my husband and I kept saying that we didn’t even realize she was there taking the pictures but they were all such intimate photos that captured the emotion from the day. photographer. When we first met over Zoom, we fell in love with her desire to photograph the day as it happens, her eye for capturing candid, real moments, and her warm and welcoming personality. She was so graciously amenable to us when we had to postpone our wedding and was gratefully available on our new day! Because of our reschedule Julia was kind enough to offer an engagement shoot near our initial venue on Capitol Hill so we could capture some of the pictures we thought we would take on our wedding day. It made us feel like nothing was missed, even though we had to change our plans. On the day of the wedding Julia made sure we had time and space to capture all of the important moments, and the small ones that may have other wise been forgotten in the blur of the day. oments. After our venue, she was the first vendor we booked. We knew that we wanted to prioritize our photographer since you’ll look at your wedding photos for the rest of your life! Due to COVID-19, we had to re-plan and then re-re-plan our wedding. Julia was always responsive, supportive, and positive. We are in the Seattle area, where she has tons of experience and knows great places to shoot. Even our other vendors rave about Julia – which is when you really know you’ve picked a good one! While rescheduling, other vendors made us feel like a checkbook, but Julia was ALWAYS empathetic and gave us as much flexibility as she could. In the end, we would have planned our microwedding around her availability to ensure that she could be our photographer. She shared a sneak peek of our photos the night of the wedding and we were able to get announcements printed from those incredible shots, and she shared our final virtual gallery within 3 weeks! We have gotten countless comments from our friends and family about how the photos are PERFECT – they feel like us, they are beautiful, and they capture our day. Choose Julia!

e sure our weekend was captured perfectly.. Julia has the ability to make her clients super comfortable, she was flexible and open to any shots or poses we wanted to play with. We had a pretty large wedding party with big personalities and short attention spans and she was so patient and flexible with us throughout the process. From the classic shots (first looks, vows, the kiss) to the small sweet moments (the giggles, the dance moves, the sneaking bites of food) - we loved reliving our wedding weekend through her photos.

I met her over facetime she put us at ease. Like many couples, we had never had professional photos taken together and absolutely dreaded the thought of overly staged wedding photos. We were also nervous about how a photographer would capture our minimalist backyard wedding. But Julia's excitement and enthusiasm for our day was contagious and the stress melted away immediately. While she was photographing us it felt more like hanging out with a good friend than anything else. She so perfectly captured the joy and emotion of our wedding day. The candid shots bring us to tears. Her vibrant colors and eye for detail highlighted the whimsical transformation of our backyard in a way we never thought possible. Best of all, our friends and family absolutely adored her (how could you not!?). I can't imagine loving our engagement and wedding photos more. I can't recommend working with Julia enough!

ughout the whole planning process. Very laid back, and never pushy. On the wedding day she helped direct us to the best lighting, and captured every moment. Since my husband and I don't have a lot of experience getting our photos taken, we were a little nervous, but Julia and her second shooter Alex made us feel comfortable. We had a blast with the whole process, and the photos are beautiful! One of my favorite parts of the night was when Julia gave us a few printed Polaroids she had taken earlier. It was so nice to take a special moment with my new husband and reflect on what a great day were were having!

through her portfolio, I was taken with how well she captures couples' personalities - she gets the beautiful, dramatic shots, but also captures the little moments in between. My now-husband and I are incredibly awkward in front of the camera, but she is so good at putting you at ease and finding positions where you can just...be together, and she'll capture those moments for you. If you love the idea of candid shots, but tend to make weird faces when you try to get them (like me), Julia will magically make you photogenic.
