Julia and her team are by far the best! We just loved their style. Julia is so kind and creative. I felt like we were on the same page all day. I am in awe of how she was able ...
to capture everyone at my wedding (200 people) without knowing all of them. Shelly followed me around at cocktail hour and captured some great family and friend group shots. Elkin ran the Photo Booth, which I would highly recommend. It's not a typical booth, it's a photographer and backdrop so you get high quality photos and assurance that no one is cut out of the picture. Julia's on the pricier side but well worth it. Pictures last a lifetime and I love every single one of mine! My sister just booked her for next year as well!

tire business. Her experience, style, organization, and desire to make the process special for her clients was really unparalleled. We wanted to work with someone we were confident would do a beautiful job and we wouldn't have to worry at all on the wedding day - Julia was the perfect choice! She approaches her work with great care and takes pride in her product. She was a delightful to correspond with throughout the process - responding promptly & clearly to emails and calls. On the wedding day, Julia took charge in a calming but commanding way. Julia has a creative photojournalistic style but understands the importance of the portrait shots for the families as well as part of documenting the event. She made sure all of the portrait shots were wanted were taken and captured the day in a beautifully and stylish manner.
We were so happy that we decided to do an engagement shoot where we developed a relationship. You can't underestimate the value of developing a comfort level and understanding of your photographer's style before your wedding day. The engagement shoot was fun to do and we were able to see Julia's high quality work, which allowed us to fully trust her to do the same on the wedding day. I was really glad that Julia set up a call to talk though the day as the wedding was approaching. It really helped to ease my anxiety over the potential pitfalls.
Julia does the little things that make you realize the caliber of her studio. From the PDF presentation "first look" she puts together for the couple to first experience the photos together to the stylish flash drive delivered in a beautifully wooden box with our names & wedding date carved on it, Julia continued to impress us with her thoughtful touches and skilled photography. We highly recommend Julia!!

ing. Julia's experience, style, and ability to make her clients feel comfortable and taken care of was really unparalleled. On the wedding day she thought of things that we forgot and really helped to make everything go smoothly, keep us on schedule with portraits, and I was not disappointed when i saw the pictures just a few short weeks later. She was a key element of the wedding day and I'm really thankful I went with her!! When you're looking for a wedding photographer, don't underestimate experience and quality - Julia has all of that. I was so impressed with the images, and I'm just thrilled with them. Worth every penny.
Julia and her team were amazing. We and our friends and families loved the photos.

wedding photo. Also, she and her assistants were never in the way of us and our guests having a great time. She was quick and efficient in taking the posed family photos and never in the way of the dance party. We have been at weddings where the photographer drags people away from the party for hours or gets in the way of dancing. We knew we didn't want that, so Julia was perfect.
She also set up a fun photo booth for us, with props. It was a huge hit and the photos were hilarious. We ended up getting an album with just those. We highly recommend that.
After our great experience, we recommended her to some friends of ours. We were guests at one of those weddings and those pictures were lovely as well. We always recommend her to our friends. She'll be perfect for your wedding too!

me to get to know me and my fiance, meeting us on a few occasions to make sure we were comfortable with her and vice versa. She was always responsive to my emails and phone calls. She took explicit notes on us, our day, our families, every detail was captured beautifully. On the day of the wedding, Julia and her team were fantastic. They never once felt invasive to our guests, yet they didnt miss a single person or moment. The presentation she put together for us is stunning and I cant stop looking through it. She knew the neighborhood well and scouted great spots for our pictures, and really did a fabulous job capturing us at our best and most natural. The pictures came out gorgeous! I've had a difficult time choosing for our thank yous and for our prints. I would recommend Julia without hesitation, and would really look for another opportunity to work with her again in the future.

ience comfortable and so fun! Everyone in my wedding party and immediate family absolutely fell in love with her as well, as she was so respectful and friendly to everyone that day. I would HIGHLY recommend Julia for your event. I don't think you'll find a better wedding photographer out there...
Julia was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is a true professional, knows how to get her job done correctly, efficiently, and creatively. She handles large groups of people ...
with ease. Her pictures speak for themselves, but when looking through the 1100 pictures we have from that day, I get a full and complete sense of what happened. Her photojournalistic sensibility is amazing and I have some incredible moments captured that would have lived in my memory only if she wasn't so good at her job. One thing that surprised me was how quickly she was able to get our pictures to us. We had them 2 weeks later - AMAZING! She's fabulous and I feel lucky to have had her document one of the most important days of my life. I feel that photography is the only thing that lasts when the whirlwind day is over. I wouldn't want to trust that to anyone else.
I obsessed over this decision..I met with so many photographers from NY magazine and called dozens more and could not decide who to book for my Manhattan wedding...until I met Juli...
a. Julia was recommended to be by a vendor of mine and once I saw her photos and spoke with her, I knew she was the one! She is talented, patient, kind, fun..she can produce the beautiful artistic shots as well as gorgeous portraits..she is the total package!!.she is the person you want with you all day at your wedding because she does not miss a beat and also keeps you calm! I had such high expectations and Julia delivered...I wanted the best photographer in NY and I found it! I cannot recommend her enough!!
I can't say enough wonderful things about Julia, her team, her work, and her products. We are thrilled beyond words.

r vendors, and we immediately fell in love with her romantic yet super urban work. We also loved her mix of beautiful portraits and fun photojournalism. If you haven't checked out her blog yet - that's a must!
Julia was delightful to correspond with (returns emails quickly, professionally, clearly) and was wonderful to meet with. What we loved about her is that she's a super cool and artistic personality and totally loves what she does without being a "pushy" photographer (we've all worked with those!), and we knew she'd fit in with the crowd at our wedding. Also, she's completely on top of things professionally and we trusted her with the important task of capturing our big day within moments of meeting her.
We had an engagement session with Julia about 3 months before the wedding which was an awesome trial run, and made my husband and I feel really at ease with our decision to work with her. It was fun, relaxed, we all got to know each other, and we got some great techniques from Julia about how to look great in photographs together. Plus, we got some AMAZING shots and a beautifully designed picture guestbook for our wedding day. I highly recommend doing an engagement session!
Julia was professional, on-time, calm, and completely in-charge on our wedding day without ever making us feel rushed, pressured, etc. Her team was wonderful, warm, and equally professional. In fact, I got really sick in the middle of taking our pre-wedding portraits with my husband and family, and she couldn't have handled it better... she never once contributed to the inevitable stress of the wedding day, she made us all feel at ease, and whenever I needed to take a break, she responded immediately, and was off photographing other people and details of our wedding while I rested.
At the wedding Julia set up a slide show presentation on a computer of some of the portraits we had taken earlier in the day. Our family and friends loved looking at the pictures during the reception, and we all thought it was a really special and creative touch to our party.
The greatest compliment I can give Julia is that she completely captured our day without ever imposing on it. Many of our guests didn't even notice her and her team, and yet she captured beautiful, special moments of everyone. She was everything we could have asked for in a wedding photographer, and every penny spent on her services was well spent!
Its been over a year since our wedding and we still can't stop looking at the pictures!!
Julia captured the wedding perfectly!

julia is an amazingly talented, funny and kind photographer. she did a tremendous job photographing my cousin's wedding at the NY Botanical Gardens. After interviewing two other ...
photographers, she seemed like the obvious choice. She works like a pro and knew great spots to get perfect shots around Dumbo, Brooklyn. With such a keen eye she was able to capture the feeling of warmth, happiness, celebration and love that was our wedding. One cannot go wrong with hiring Julia for one's wedding! Just check out her website! All our guests were amazed by her work and many of our married family members wished they could go back and have her reshoot their wedding photos! She is truly an artist!
