The engagement session was an awesome way to get to know Julia and her working methods before the wedding day, itself. Plus, it gave us some great photos to use for our reception! A few months before our big day, Julia sent us a form to fill out. She asked us to include shots that would be most important to us, a timing schedule of the day, and also asked us to provide photos/names of the bridal party, parents, and anyone who would be an important part of the day so that she could memorize it to make it more personal (which I LOVED). She then setup a call a few weeks before just to review and finalize everything on our sheet so she could be prepared for everything. I will say it was a little stressful to feel like I had to have the timing details of our day decided so early. I was nervous I’d just feel rushed through the whole day trying to keep up with a clock instead of enjoying it. But we didn’t realize how important it truly was to have a schedule like that in place. And it just goes to show how experienced and professional Julia is! With that information safely in her hands, Julia and her assistant kept us moving in a timely fashion throughout the entire day. And the best part was, it NEVER felt forced or rushed. They always allowed for those natural moments and emotions to shine through, kept it lighthearted and fun, but still maintained structured. And we absolutely needed that with a larger party! Plus, she truly helped us keep focus on the main point of it all: celebrating our devotion to the one we love. Within a week of the wedding, Julia posted some teaser photos on her social media so that we could enjoy a handful until all of our images were ready in a few months. And when they were ready, we could not have asked for more gorgeous photographs. They are absolutely STUNNING! The range of emotions captured was incredible, with many of them just downright works of art. It helped us fully capture the memories and feels of our special day, and for that, I’m forever grateful. l. Our wedding was planned for November 2020, prior to the beginning of the pandemic. We were faced with some tough decisions and ultimately decided to go ahead with a small ceremony in November and postpone the big celebration for spring of 2021. Julia was so supportive of our decision and flexible with the change. She perfectly captured the intimacy of our small, sweet, family only ceremony, as well as the joy and excitement of finally celebrating with our extended family and close friends at our reception in May. Her eye for detail and ability to catch the candid, little moments did not go unnoticed. We have so many perfect images from both of our special days that we will treasure for years to come. Julia was extremely helpful throughout the entire process, from helping us choose locations for engagement/wedding photos to selecting images for our album. When it came time to look for a photographer for our wedding, I called Julia and no one else. Thankfully, Julia was available and she did not disappoint. The shots were so incredible that we decided to double the number of images in our wedding album to accommodate the best of the best. ules?! I stand by it. I was comfortable giving her rein over the day- no pun intended! Julia was professional and organized. We ended up with the most beautiful memories. She got us out on a row boat, on the clearest hour of the day. It allowed my newly husband and I to have some laughs and time alone. It was perfect!
