I cannot say enough amazing things about Julia. To start, I found her on instagram because her photos are outstanding and really capture the spirit and emotions of her clients. She also makes you feel relaxed and at ease, which is important for the majority of us that don't feel comfortable in front of a camera! The fact that she was not just willing, but excited to travel and shoot new locations was a plus for us because our engagement shoot and wedding were on opposite ends of the country. Further, Julia is worth every penny because her work ethic is outstanding, she puts a sweet personal touch on everything she does, and she PREPARES for each session, which gives you incredible images that no one else has. She was an absolute dream to work with and her professionalism is top notch.

Our daughter and her fiancée were attracted to the quality of Julia’s work when we first started exploring our photo options for their wedding. Meeting with her cemented our resolve to hire her, as she formed an immediate emotional connection with them. She is the rare photographer who understands how critical it is for a professional in her field to make their subjects totally comfortable and relaxed during photo sessions. She flew to their home to do an engagement shoot, further developing her relationship with them and their trust in her in the process. What a beautiful set of photos came out of that meeting! At the wedding she and her assistant were everywhere that they needed to be, seemingly all at once and without becoming overly obtrusive at any point. She had worked closely with my daughter to develop a timeline for desired photos and yet maintained the necessary flexibility to work around unforeseen circumstances. Rain threatened immediately following my daughter’s ceremony, when large outdoor group photos were planned. Julia and her assistant were amazing in their organization and speed in getting all of the desired shots done, with all of the right groupings, in very little time before the rain began. All with a calm and pleasant demeanor. And every shot was picture perfect! In numerous other candid shots, she was able to capture the emotional joy of the day in ways that far exceeded our expectations. Her technical skill is top notch and we could not have been happier with the results! Her pricing is clear and fair and she was extremely reliable and responsive to emails as well.

From the first time I spoke with Julia about shooting our wedding, I knew I wanted to work with her. Her portfolio blew us away! She really got to know us, our style, and what we wanted. She even visited our venues ahead of time, planning different ways to capture our wedding day in the style that we wanted. On the big day, she put us first- she is truly wonderful to work with! Our “sneak peek” photos and final photo gallery exceeded our wildest dreams. My husband and I were both brought to tears by the work she did for us.
