Wow! We are so incredibly happy to have had the opportunity for Julia to shoot our wedding. She is very thorough, having scheduled a few calls to understand what we were looking for. She was in contact with me leading up to the wedding, and so present the day of. Every photo we wanted wasn’t just captured, it was done so exactly how we envisioned it. With over 7 years of experience behind the lens, I feel truly honored to document the best moments of my clients' lives, allowing them to look back on these cherished memories for years to come. My photography approach is all about stepping back and observing couples in their natural element. I specialize in creating cinematic moments and blending them with editorial vibes to add an artistic touch. I thrive when there's a balance between natural interactions and structured posing, ensuring every shot is both authentic and stunning. I had the privilege of studying photography at NHIA, where I was accepted with a scholarship. During my time there, I immersed myself in the world of film and digital photography, working both in the studio and in nature. After taking a brief hiatus post-college, I'm thrilled to return to my true passion: capturing the beauty and emotion of life's precious moments.

d be awkward, but Julia brought a positive and relaxing energy that made the whole experience a lot of fun. I could tell that she had put a lot of effort into thinking of poses before the shoot, and even included themes my partner and I are passionate about, like reading! The photos themselves came out absolutely perfect!!! Both of us look incredible, and you can see how much fun we’re having. I’m not someone who typically feels beautiful, but the poses Julia picked complimented my figure and made me feel stunning! I really couldn’t be happier with this whole process and would highly recommend Julia Wakefield Photography to anybody who asks.

I was initially nervous because it was the first time we were taking official photos for the wedding and being in front of the camera is not something I’m very used to. From the minute we met up for the shoot, Julia’s presence and energy immediately put me at ease. She is bubbly, funny and fantastic at giving direction without actually posing you so it just felt like we were on a date and having fun. The pictures she captured truly portray the nature of our relationship as a couple and were exactly what we were envisioning! eat composition, and just a hint of drama! Her rates were really good too, great value for money as she delivers a lot of photos, which is important for awkward people like us. Even if there were photos of ourselves we didn't like, since she gave us so many, there were still a ton that we absolutely loved. Julia was also flexible as to schedule as we wanted to schedule our shoot during peak fall and had to change dates. Finally, she works so fast that we didn't get fatigued from posing and smiling. Over all, two thumbs up!
