d they all came out incredible. She worked with us during the photo shoots to make us feel comfortable and relaxed as we went through a range of poses/settings/backdrops. She was incredible on the day of our wedding going back and forth between the bridesmaid’s and groomsmen’s ready rooms to capture all of the preparations and then had a great detailed list of all the groupings of people to get together for photos. Julie took a mind boggling number of photos and then had them edited and sent back to us at an insane speed. She truly is wonderful to work with and will work so hard to make sure your photos capture your special day.

freezing weather and our wedding was raining. Both days the weather wasn’t ideal, but she was such a trooper and did whatever it took to get the right shots, all while making it fun. We also couldn’t believe how QUICKLY we got our beautiful photos back. Less than 72 hours…. I have friends who didn’t get their pictures back for MONTHS. We were so pleased with how our pictures came out and will always recommend her to our friends and families who are looking for a photographer!

She also gave us great directions while we were taking portraits which made everything feel easy. In addition, the photos from our wedding are absolutely amazing! Both the planned portraits and the candids are frame worthy, and we are going to be obsessed with these photos forever. Finally, she had a super quick turn around with getting us our photos. She sent us the online album four days after our wedding, and the thumb drive about a week after that. She also was a real pro when it rained the day of the wedding and was still able to get us many of the outside shots we wanted for the first look and with the wedding party. At our engagement shoot she put us at ease, and even suggested some spots in Portland we didn't know about which resulted in some of our most favorite photos! Leading up to our wedding, she was organized, responsive, and responsible: she emailed me a month ahead of time to establish our timeline and "must have shots". She was also flexible in capturing a few getting-ready moments as well :) She was also extremely quick in getting the photos back to us- we had them within a week! She has an incredibly fast turnaround for photo edits, with engagement photos back THE NEXT DAY and almost 900 wedding photos back within a week. Our guests all adored her, and she was never in the way during the reception. Her photos are seriously stunning and bring out the natural beauty and joy in each subject- we all looked radiant! People who normally hate themselves in photos were reaching out to me to see how amazing they are. She does some of the staged photos that are typical, and those are great, but she truly shines in finding and capturing the candid, poignant, and funny moments that really bring the photos to life. The colors are beautiful and vibrant works of art. I seriously can't gush about Julie enough, and will probably have to find more excuses for her to photograph us in the future :) Seriously, our highest recommendation for Julie!

he has a perfect way of sitting back and capturing what is happening while also giving direction for photography. My husband and I are not people who take a lot of pictures, so we weren't quite sure what to do a lot of the time. Julie would quietly guide us with sort of a "trust me!" look on her face. All of the shots that she gave us direction on are easily our favorites of the bunch! Julie also took beautiful photos of everything happening all day and looking through them allows us to relive the day over and over. We had a beautiful day filled with so much joy and we cannot thank Julie enough for capturing that joy in photos.

one of the things I truly appreciated we had just begun the wedding planning process and had already given a few deposits so I asked if I could wait a month before signing our contract and providing our deposit. Julie said yes and that she would let us know if anyone else inquired about our date. A few weeks went by and Julie reached out saying another bride had asked about our day, I knew it was time to move forward. Fast forward to the wedding day, Julie arrived on time with no issues getting herself to the island we were getting married on. We finally met each other in person and I could just tell we were the perfect fit. Having pictures taken can be stressful and uncomfortable at times but we did not feel any of these emotions with Julie we were laughing and just having a really good time. We also had numerous friends and family comment on how great she was! I had heard many horror stories about the length of time couples had waited to get their photos back because of this I was ready to wait weeks knowing full well that the photos would be worth the wait. Much to my surprise just 4 DAYS after our wedding we received a link with every photo available at our fingertips. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer. Thanks Julie!

lopement package but less than 8-10 hours, Julie was able to give me a few options in between those two extremes. As a COVID bride the plans changed many times and Julie was always quick to respond and to roll with the revisions. She was super helpful in creating a timeline for the day which I used to coordinate other vendors and my wedding party. In the weeks leading up to the wedding she checked in on the details to make sure nothing had changed. Day of she was fantastic at handling a very large and rambunctious and possibly a little tipsy set of groomsmen, she got some amazing shots without being “in the way” or disrupting the flow and vibe of the wedding, and my one request was to move through formals fast so we could get to cocktail hour, we had a solid 40 minutes of cocktail hour left to eat and visit with guests! Our wedding was at a boys summer camp so not necessarily the most elegant setting but they way she captured these photos it looks like we are in a woodland fairytale. Probably the most important fact, she got almost 700 photos back to me in a WEEK! A WEEK!!!

She did an amazing job with our family photos but also got some really cool fun ones with our wedding party cheering in the background as we shared a kiss. That one is my absolute favorite. At the reception, again I can relive all the moments, including my uncle's family tradition of finger swiping the back of the cake! She went through and found all of these either fun or intimate interactions between my guests and got photos of that. I am actually sending personal pictures to each couple of them at the wedding with my thankyou cards, they are that good! Julie is a very fun and easy to talk to photographer. Even though this was a destination wedding at a beach that's three hours away from us, I would actually consider having her do my maternity photos down the road! Impressive work. Once we were taking couple photos she made it really easy for us, setting us up to act naturally as she got her shots. Throughout the wedding she was engaged and seemed genuinely happy to be there with us. Since we had such a tiny wedding it was really nice to have her feel like she was enjoying being there too. She made she we got all the shots we wanted. And after, she got us the photos within 2 DAYS! They were beautiful and we were very happy. I highly recommend her.
