Our cake was so delicious I had two slices at the wedding. Julie is also just the sweetest!! We loved her style of tasting where it is simply mix and match. It makes for such unique flavor mixtures and a completely customized wedding cake. We had 3 flavors - almond cake with white chocolate and strawberry frosting, chocolate cake with peanut butter and vanilla frosting, and lemon cake with raspberry, pistachio, and champagne frosting. Our little cake was decorated with fresh lavender buds and sprigs - it was beautiful!!! I'm only bummed that we didn't have more left over! I guess we will just have to order cakes from Julie again in the future :)

Julie Michelle was amazing from the start. At the cake tasting she answered all our questions we had in regards to the cake and let us taste as many samples as we needed to to pick what would make our wedding cake taste great. On the day of our wedding she delivered our cake and even helped incorporate our dog on the cake as we had asked her to do. After our Wedding Cake Baker Last minute closed we had to find someone to make our wedding cake and Julie came to the rescue! She made us a beautiful 5 tier cake that not only was a work of art and looked beautiful on our dance floor also tasted amazing. Julie Michelle has the best cakes easily. We used Julie for our wedding cake. She is very attentive to the details of you and your day. She offers a cake tasting in order to figure out what type of cake and frosting you would like. I would 100% recommend all her flavors however the lemon and almond cake I am biased toward. She has different types of styles for her cakes. Anyone with any type of taste or style will easily be able to find it with Julie. The day of our wedding, everyone enjoyed the cake so much that people had multiple pieces and we did not have any leftovers! We have the top tier of our cake for our one year anniversary and we are beyond excited to have it next year! We set up a tasting - simply delicious and Julie went put of her way to make different creations for us to try to ensure we got exactly what we wanted. Pure Perfection! There was never a doubt that Julie Michele Cakes was going to be the vendor for our daughter’s wedding. When we first started looking for vendors, I saw her Instagram and all the videos and posts on it. Is it possible to know that a cake is going to be amazing from videos/posts alone? I think so! Her attention to detail, the assortment of flavors, cake options, and her decorating ability is above and beyond anything I have ever seen and tasted. The wedding cake from her was absolutely the very best! It was delicious and we received so many compliments from our guests. The cake created was four tier of alternating flavors, simply iced and flowers added by Julie that were supplied by our florist. It couldn’t have been more beautiful. If you are planning an event, keep Julie in mind you will not be disappointed!

Julie is amazing! Her level of detail is impeccable. We went for our cake tasting and had so much fun with her and trying all the flavors. We opted for an almond cake with pecan filling on one layer and chocolate cake with peanut butter filling for the other. It was delicious!! So hard to choose between all the mouth watering flavors. We first fell in love with Julie Michelle's amazing designs on her website and knew we wanted to have a beautiful cake for our wedding. Julie and her husband were amazing to work with! The cake tasting was so much fun and we loved being able to create the exact cake that we wanted. We couldn't have been happier with our wedding cake! The design was exactly as we had dreamed and it was sooo yummy!! We love the amount of effort they put not only in the amazing flavor but also the presentation and final touches (like our fresh flowers). We highly recommend Julie Michelle Cakes for your wedding!!

Julie Michelle is the consummate professional for your event. She was the only wedding vendor that remained steadfast in her service all through Covid, when we planned and re-planned our wedding several times, changing the location, theme and number of guests constantly. She was patient and considerate, when it was a devastating time for a small business (especially large weddings) to remain afloat. She has a wonderful studio for sampling and great ideas on her Instagram, to help you know that she is the right choice. On our actual wedding day, she was the one vendor that quietly and perfectly delivered. We never had to follow-up and that meant a lot for an out-of-town wedding. The cake was so delicious...our only regret is that we never got a piece. Our guests barely left a bite!

I got the dream team of vendors for my lakeside wedding in Delavan Wisconsin. All I can say is if you don't have a Julie Michelle Cake at your wedding, you are missing out! Every single guest made mention of how phenomenal the cake was. We had two different types of cake and they both were amazing!!! I can't wait to eat our cake on our one year anniversary, but we will be getting Julie Michelle Cakes again!!

Julie is simply phenomenal. From the moment we reached out, she was so organized and genuinely excited to help us with our dream cake for our wedding day. I had followed Julie on Instagram for years, and was so excited to finally have the opportunity to work with her. Everyone I have known who has had a wedding in the Lake Geneva area has used her for their cake and raves about how great she is. She set up a tasting with us a few months before the wedding and honestly whatever cake or flavor you choose, you can't go wrong, everything is absolutely incredible! We chose chocolate cake with vanilla frosting and lemon cake with strawberry frosting. We chose the chocolate cake since that is my mother in laws favorite cake. She cannot stop talking about how it is THE best cake she has ever had. The lemon was also incredible and great for a June wedding. Since we got back from our honeymoon, so many people have been asking where we got our wedding cake because they loved it so much! My husband and I have been craving the cake since our wedding day. Julie makes the entire process from finding a cake to the wedding day fun and seamless. I cannot recommend her enough!

Julie was recommended to us by our venue and we could not be happier with our experience. We went in for a tasting with my parents and it was such a fun experience to pick out our cake and icing flavors (she has so many!). The cake was absolutely beautiful and tasted amazing. On top of that, Julie is so sweet and easy to work with.

We met with Julie Michelle several months prior to our wedding to choose our cake flavors and to discuss the design. Not only is her space super cute, but the variety of cake and frosting options were amazing! Julie is incredibly sweet, easy to work with and made the process very seamless for us. She took the time necessary to break down our options and educate us on the amount of cake necessary for our guest count. Needless to say, the cake was a total hit! Julie took our vision for our wedding cake and brought it to life. When I saw it as we walked into the reception hall at The Standard on the day of, I was blown away. It was simple, yet absolutely stunning! I couldn’t recommend Julie enough.

Tasting went smoothly and there were lots of options to choose from. The cake itself was exactly as I wanted and tasted fantastic. Highly recommend.

If you want variety, great flavor, moist cakes, and a decent bang for your buck this is definitely the place you need to get your cake from! The tasting was amazing and we came up with a great combo! The design - she was able to bring to life and it came out perfectly! In conjunction with my florist, it was a perfect finished touch!

Don’t look anywhere else for your cake...Julie is the best!! When we originally hired Julie, we had met her at a bridal expo and she was serving a sampler platter of all different desserts which was a new concept for them. We thought this was so cool and not being cake people ourselves we thought this was a great option. Fast forward to 2020 and the pandemic hit so this type of dessert assortment wasn’t something that a lot of people might be comfortable with as it was a grazing table that people would be picking at with their hands. We decided it would be best to go with a cake. When we went to our tasting we were BLOWN away! My husband still says it was his absolute favorite part of the wedding planning process. The cake options are amazing and so so delicious and Julie is just the sweetest person. She even held our son most of the tasting for us so that we could enjoy. Our cake wasn’t only delicious it was a gorgeous monochrome white bow cake. We loved it so much and got so many compliments! We saved our top tier for our one year anniversary but we ended up eating it the day after the wedding because we were too excited! Thank you Julie!!

Julie is justttt the BEST. She made us the most beautiful wedding cake (and a LOVELY mini cake for our original wedding date after we postponed and I contacted her super last minute asking if I could order one to surprise my fiance with—she didn't even bat an eye and made it for us even though I'm certain she was wildly busy at the time) and we didn't have any left over—everyone RAVED about it. She's also incredibly, incredibly sweet and kind (like I can't even talk about how nice she is—and her husband who works with her!) and was a pleasure to communicate with. Her work speaks for itself. I would highly recommend her to anyone, and I definitely will forever.

We had her cakes for our small wedding in 2020 and our 1 year anniversary celebration and received so many complements on how good the cake was (even the gluten free). Absolutely love Julie Michelle Cakes! The entire planning process was a dream. They were the first cake tasting my husband and I went to and we never looked back! Julie had different types of cakes and a large assortment of frosting and filling flavors for us to try, all very delicious! When we had to reschedule our wedding, Julie was so sweet and worked around our new date. We ordered our wedding cake and a groom's cake. Both were perfect and tasted unbelievable! The cake was incredible look and taste wise. We had a three tier cake and went for a simple, rustic look. The cake was exactly what we asked for. We were able to choose from 3 different flavors and mix matched flavors and each tier tasted amazing!

Get this cake! Work with this lovely woman! When reviewing wedding vendors I think about 1) the planning/communication process and 2) the final result. Julie was so impressive in both categories! She was always responsive and informative in emails, but she went above and beyond when we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID - when I was worried about finding a new wedding date that worked for all our vendors, Julie told me not to worry - she would ensure I had my cake any date we found! And then on our actual wedding date, our cake looked gorgeous, tasted amazing, and our guests have not stopped raving about it for days! You will not have to worry about a thing but having the best cake around if you hire Julie Michelle :)

I cannot recommend Julie more for your cake! We went for our tasting to her adorable shop, and we fell in love right away. Her cake is DELICIOUS. Nothing else tasted nearly as good as Julie's cakes. We received SO many compliments at our wedding for the cake. A ton of our guests who are self claimed "anti-sweets," ate 2 - 3 pieces each, they loved it that much. Beyond her delicious cake, Julie is also extremely wonderful to work with. She was always very easy to get in contact with, offered us amazing suggestions for cake types and frosting combinations, and was just all around a pleasure. Her and her husband are just all around good people. During COVID Julie made small cakes and sold them for various holidays. We love her and her cake so much that we would drive up from Chicago just to get one of her small cakes. Really, she is amazing! Highly, highly recommend!

Julie did an exceptional job with my cake and cotton candy cart. She had the cutest shop in Harvard, IL where Adam and I were able to taste the cake flavors and discuss our options. At the end of the day, we LOVED how we could customize the different layers/flavors of the cake, and Julie was extremely careful to make sure the cake was made in a nut-free kitchen (due to a guest's severe nut allergy). For the cotton candy, it was a HIT!! Everyone raved about what a sweet treat it was at the end of the night. And I'd be remiss to not mention the edible glitter. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

I would highly recommend Julie Michelle Cakes! We went in for a tasting and completely fell in love!! My now husband is not huge with sweets, so it was hard to convince him or get him excited about cake. When we went in for the tasting, we were both blown away! We got to choose any combination of cake and frosting that we wanted, which was amazing. She had the standard cake flavors, but she also had available more frosting flavors than you could think of! (YUMMM) We had each tier a different flavor and cake combination which our guests loved! The cake tasted AMAZING and everyone at the wedding raved about it! Julie was also so wonderful to work with. Due to COVID, we ended up going from 300 guests, to 55 guests. Julie was so accommodating and we ended up going from sheet cakes to a four tier cake which turned out beautiful! We had some leftover cake to bring home to eat for a week and we even got an anniversary cake that we can't wait to dig into next year! I cannot say enough great things about Julie Michelle Cakes & I cannot wait to order another cake from her!!

I can not say enough good things about Julie Michelle Cakes & the experience we had with them for our wedding. We were married at The Abbey in Lake Geneva in October & planned it all through Covid-times. Julie was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process, from the "dream" to the tasting ((second best day ever)) to the end results on our wedding day. We did a vanilla cake with sprinkles & boysenberry buttercream - honestly do die for. Our guests raved about how good it was!! We ended up eating the top tier slowly the week after the wedding instead of freezing it, it was THAT good. Can't wait to find another excuse to order a cake from them asap. Would highly highly recommend!

Julie is definitely the best for wedding cakes!! Starting with the amazing cake tasting experience during the pandemic, we knew Julie was the right baker for our wedding cake. She has so many delicious filling and cake options. It was so hard for us to choose, we picked the almond cake with strawberry filling, it was SO YUMMY! Hiring Julie as our wedding dessert/cake vendor was a great decision! She went above and beyond to ensure our guests were well-fed with dessert and also safe at the same time with the given circumstances of the pandemic. Our cake was absolutely amazing and highly recommend the butter pecan cream cheese frosting (YUM!) and she also made individual dessert boxes for our guests to take home with them. It was a fun touch on party favors. Julie was great to work with and also even made a pre-wedding cake for me to gift to my mom to try! Highly recommend!
