We had 3 flavors - almond cake with white chocolate and strawberry frosting, chocolate cake with peanut butter and vanilla frosting, and lemon cake with raspberry, pistachio, and champagne frosting. Our little cake was decorated with fresh lavender buds and sprigs - it was beautiful!!! I'm only bummed that we didn't have more left over! I guess we will just have to order cakes from Julie again in the future :)

The cake created was four tier of alternating flavors, simply iced and flowers added by Julie that were supplied by our florist. It couldn’t have been more beautiful. She has a wonderful studio for sampling and great ideas on her Instagram, to help you know that she is the right choice. The cake was so delicious...our only regret is that we never got a piece. Our guests barely left a bite!

Everyone I have known who has had a wedding in the Lake Geneva area has used her for their cake and raves about how great she is. She set up a tasting with us a few months before the wedding and honestly whatever cake or flavor you choose, you can't go wrong, everything is absolutely incredible! We chose chocolate cake with vanilla frosting and lemon cake with strawberry frosting. We chose the chocolate cake since that is my mother in laws favorite cake. She cannot stop talking about how it is THE best cake she has ever had. The lemon was also incredible and great for a June wedding. Since we got back from our honeymoon, so many people have been asking where we got our wedding cake because they loved it so much! My husband and I have been craving the cake since our wedding day. Julie makes the entire process from finding a cake to the wedding day fun and seamless. I cannot recommend her enough!

rosting options were amazing! Julie is incredibly sweet, easy to work with and made the process very seamless for us. She took the time necessary to break down our options and educate us on the amount of cake necessary for our guest count. Needless to say, the cake was a total hit! Julie took our vision for our wedding cake and brought it to life. When I saw it as we walked into the reception hall at The Standard on the day of, I was blown away. It was simple, yet absolutely stunning! I couldn’t recommend Julie enough.

Fast forward to 2020 and the pandemic hit so this type of dessert assortment wasn’t something that a lot of people might be comfortable with as it was a grazing table that people would be picking at with their hands. We decided it would be best to go with a cake. When we went to our tasting we were BLOWN away! My husband still says it was his absolute favorite part of the wedding planning process. The cake options are amazing and so so delicious and Julie is just the sweetest person. She even held our son most of the tasting for us so that we could enjoy. Our cake wasn’t only delicious it was a gorgeous monochrome white bow cake. We loved it so much and got so many compliments! We saved our top tier for our one year anniversary but we ended up eating it the day after the wedding because we were too excited! Thank you Julie!!

as Julie's cakes. We received SO many compliments at our wedding for the cake. A ton of our guests who are self claimed "anti-sweets," ate 2 - 3 pieces each, they loved it that much. Beyond her delicious cake, Julie is also extremely wonderful to work with. She was always very easy to get in contact with, offered us amazing suggestions for cake types and frosting combinations, and was just all around a pleasure. Her and her husband are just all around good people. During COVID Julie made small cakes and sold them for various holidays. We love her and her cake so much that we would drive up from Chicago just to get one of her small cakes. Really, she is amazing! Highly, highly recommend!

At the end of the day, we LOVED how we could customize the different layers/flavors of the cake, and Julie was extremely careful to make sure the cake was made in a nut-free kitchen (due to a guest's severe nut allergy). For the cotton candy, it was a HIT!! Everyone raved about what a sweet treat it was at the end of the night. And I'd be remiss to not mention the edible glitter. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

She had the standard cake flavors, but she also had available more frosting flavors than you could think of! (YUMMM) We had each tier a different flavor and cake combination which our guests loved! The cake tasted AMAZING and everyone at the wedding raved about it! Julie was also so wonderful to work with. Due to COVID, we ended up going from 300 guests, to 55 guests. Julie was so accommodating and we ended up going from sheet cakes to a four tier cake which turned out beautiful! We had some leftover cake to bring home to eat for a week and we even got an anniversary cake that we can't wait to dig into next year! I cannot say enough great things about Julie Michelle Cakes & I cannot wait to order another cake from her!!
