This venue is great for the trendy bride who loves a good party! A historic but stylish and sophisticated ballroom in downtown Little Rock just blocks away from trendy hotels and nightlife! Not to mention, the building and its rooms are just gorgeous even without the wedding setup! And a wonderful staff who is willing to work with you and your vendors to make everything perfect!
Beautiful indoor venue perfect for AR Brides that don't want "rustic." The lights are gorgeous, the caterer list is pretty extensive (lots of options), you can bring in pretty much everything and anything you want, and they're excellent at responding quickly to any and all inquiries. Only downside is the ridiculously long list of rules and "no"s. Almost all the prohibited items are included in the contract you sign at the beginning, but I was thrown a few curveballs last minute they decided I couldn't do this/that (like I apparently had to place this huge ugly utility rug under our arch because they decided day of it could potentially scratch the floor?). Overall, wonderful experience. Just a LOT of rules.
The Junior League of Little Rock was a beautiful building. We ended up having our ceremony on the stairs, cocktail hour on the mezzanine, and reception in the ballroom. It had plenty of space for all of our events! We were even able to sneak away and eat dinner together in the lovely bridal suite. The building manager was a pleasure to work with, but as someone mentioned in another review, the pricing can get a bit tricky if you need additional time for setup. Luckily, the building was not reserved the day before so we were able to get in and set up during their open hours. We would definitely recommend this venue!
The Junior League of Little Rock is a stunning, historical building that is great for holding a wedding and/or reception. We had our wedding reception in the ballroom and had plenty of room for guest tables, bar set-up, and an area for the dance floor. The JLLR staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Of note, various rooms or parts of the building can be rented in a 6-hour period of time, with each additional hour costing extra money. This arrangement made it quite difficult to have enough time for set-up, tear down, and the event itself without adding numerous additional hours to our rental. This made the rental rather expensive, but I would do it again, given the beauty and elegance of the event venue.
Absolutely amazing! The JLLR was everything I wanted. The rental manager was great to work and the rest of our vendors work there often, so that also made it easy to plan. It is a big space, elegant, and it is just a couple of blocks from the hotels. This made the location extremely convenient. Perfect!!!
My husband went with me to pick out venues and this was the one. It was everything we wanted. The big windows, the details of the room like the old floors and crown molding, the chandelier in the middle. We had a simple wedding with very little decor and the room was still beautiful. The people were very nice. I would suggest it to anyone.
Our wedding reception in the JLLR ballroom was amazing! The room is gorgeous, and it was the perfect size. The people at the Junior Leauge were always very helpful, full of great ideas, and made the planning process easy! They do have a lot of rules that you should check out before you book with them to make sure you're okay with everything (like toss items, etc), but I never had a problem. I would recommend them to anyone!
Oh-and they will let you use their venue for bridals (for free) if you book with them. I whole heartedly recommend this as well--my bridals were amazing!
Junior league has a gorgeous ballroom.
We had our reception in the Crystal Ball Room. It was so beautiful!! Joan was wonderful to work with along with all the staff. I highly, highly suggest looking into the JLLR building. You will not be disappointed!
The Junior League of Little Rock is a great place to have a reception. The building is unique, classic, and beautiful. You get to chose you own caterers and bring in your own alcohol (big money saver). The staff is helpful and organized. You can also take your bridal portrait here if you have your reception here!
The JLLR was a fabulous spot to hold my wedding reception. The women there were incredibly helpful in organzing and providing suggestions. Very reasonable.
Very beautiful ballroom!
Joan and the JLLR were absolutely amazing to work with. We had our wedding on the staircase and then the reception in the ballroom. The place is beautiful and I'm so glad we chose it
