I feel compelled to share my grievances to warn others about the subpar services provided by Kim. To start with, despite clear instructions, over many zoom meetings, texts, and voice calls, It was disheartening to see such a crucial detail overlooked, especially when they had been informed well in advance. The cake itself was a complete disaster. I had explicitly requested a cake adorned in red and pink, matching the wedding colors. However, on the day of the wedding, I was appalled to find that the cake had been inexplicably decorated in blue. It was a jarring and unappealing contrast that clashed with the overall aesthetic of the event. I asked Kim immediately why the cake was blue after the ceremony, she responded that she noticed it but did not even call or text me to let me know of the mishap before the cake vendor left the premises. The planner's negligence extended to the preparation of bridal party gift bags as well. Despite having received them a month prior, they failed to prepare the bags until just 30 minutes before the dress rehearsal. Everything was organized and labeled on my end and should have been easy enough to just drop in a bag. This caused unnecessary stress and anxiety as the gifts were intended to be distributed during the rehearsal. Furthermore, when the gifts were finally presented, the planner mixed up the bags, leading to confusion and embarrassment among the bridal party. Even the rehearsal was uncoordinated and chaotic. In yet another disappointing turn of events, the wedding planner managed to give the wrong pajamas to the bridal party. It was a clear indication of their lack of attention to detail and disregard for the specific instructions provided. This mistake could have been easily avoided had they exercised basic competence. One of the most egregious errors committed by Kim was their failure to prevent an unscheduled rap performance by a family member, despite being strictly instructed otherwise on mutliple occasions. This intrusion directly contradicted the bride's wishes and disrupted the flow of the reception. It was a clear indication of the planner's inability to execute even the simplest tasks assigned to them. This was not even mentioned to the DJ, as I had asked her to reach out to them multiple times to let them know. Moreover, the planner failed to ensure that champagne glasses were provided to the bride and groom immediately for toasting as previously instructed. This oversight diminished the significance of the moment and left the couple without the special toast they had anticipated. The wedding planner ineffectively disrupted the flow for the photographer during the wedding shoot. Despite providing a detailed set photo list via email, the planner did not utilize it, causing confusion and delays. This disregard for the agreed-upon plan affected the photographer's ability to capture important moments efficiently, resulting in missed opportunities and added frustration. To add insult to injury, not a single guest received the promised carrot cake. It was an unfortunate oversight that left us feeling cheated out of an essential part of the dessert selection we had planned meticulously. By the time reception time, despite having guests seating listed, place cards were not put out which caused an additional delay. On top of this issue, the planner took it upon themselves to move place cards and flat out disregard my seating chart. My son was seated at the back of the reception hall as well as all of my other bridal party were scattered about the room. None of this was approved by me. The planner found herself in multiple conversations with family instead of allowing my wedding to run smoothly. Throughout the entire planning process, it was evident that Kim lacked required constant redirection from both the bride and the bridal party. This incessant need for guidance created an atmosphere of stress and worry, which was far from the care-free experience we had hoped for. In summary, my experience with Just Gifted was an absolute catastrophe. From the missing cake topper to the mix-up of gifts, the wrong pajamas, the disrupted flow for the photographer, the unanticipated rap performance, and the absence of carrot cake, the planner demonstrated a remarkable lack of professionalism and attention to detail. They failed to deliver on even the most basic aspects of wedding coordination, causing significant distress on what should have been a joyous occasion. I strongly advise against moving forward with this company for wedding planning. They did do some of the decor, and it came out nice. Planning and coordinating, not so much. Many things can be overlooked but the one thing I begged not to happen is all that I can think about on my wedding day and this is a disappointment that will never fade.
