Alan was so involved and understanding of what we wanted our ceremony to be. He followed ever detail down to the smallest part. He is very easy to talk to and to work with. If you need his services just book him now because you will relieve yourself of so much stress as Alan will have step by step instructions on what needs to be done. When we began to plan our wedding, everything seemed to be pretty easy until it came to a huge part; picking our Officiant. My wife Julie and I interviewed maybe 7 or 8 Officiants, and for whatever reason we didn't find the combination of warmth, humor, and professionalism we were looking for. Then we met Alan. From the very beginning, we knew Alan was the one for us as he seemed incredibly distinguished and professional. Instead of telling us how great of an Officiant he was, he listened to what my wife and I were looking for, and was able to provide the exact feel we wanted. As we didn't have a Wedding Planner, I was incredibly stressed throughout the process on what the ceremony would entail. Alan connected with me personally, reassured me, and was very patient and helpful throughout the process. He was instrumental in putting together a ceremony that was perfect for us and the theme of Boston and Beacon Hill we were going for. The ceremony was perfect, and Alan was exactly who we were looking for as he was professional and stoic, he got a few laughs which added to the environment, and was extremely warm and understood the romantic implications of the event. Even after the wedding, he has been incredibly helpful in the practical side of filing paperwork and changing names. Alan was very amenable to all of our hopes and requests to make our ceremony unique and meaningful. It was our hope that all of our vendors would treat our same sex wedding the same as any hetero wedding, and Alan was absolutely wonderful; going so far as to post his services on enGAYged weddings (.com). He was kind, supportive, and flexible. Provided us a vast number of readings to choose from, and then also was willing to incorporate our own visions to have every detail be a perfect fit for us. He was also very flexible with meeting us on multiple dates and locations both for our rehearsal and the ceremony itself. He was charismatic and our guests all enjoyed his humor and professionalism. We would absolutely recommend him for any type of wedding ceremony whether religious or secular and are sure you will be satisfied!

Getting married in the middle of a pandemic isn't easy, but Alan was a wonderful partner throughout the process. His kind and calm demeanor put us at ease during a stressful time. He was easy to work with and helped us make our wedding vision a reality. We wanted some elements of a Jewish wedding and he helped us find great ways to incorporate those into our ceremony.

Alan was a wonderful officiant for our elopement. We originally planned on going to City Hall and having the simplest ceremony possible so when we contacted Alan we gave very little direction and yet he provided a beautiful ceremony that felt extremely personal and specific to us. It was like he spoke the words out of our hearts. He injected the day with humor and depth. He is a well-practiced speaker and professional. We can't recommend him enough!

Justice Alan was the officiant for our secret elopement on June 22nd 2020! He was willing and able to marry us in a small ceremony after our 240 wedding was cancelled due to COVID. We quite literally could not have been married without him, and we absolutely wouldn’t have wanted to! His words throughout the nuptials were so beautiful and he spoke right from his heart to us and our guests. It was perfect and we wouldn’t change a thing, we can not WAIT to have him officiate for us again next year for our dream wedding celebration!!

Alan was wonderful! We first met with Alan at the home he shares with his wife and instantly knew he was the perfect person to marry us. At our first meeting, Alan was both welcoming and calming and took the time to explain the entire process to us. He first covered the basics, such as how to get a marriage license and what to do with it before the wedding, and then moved on to helping us personalize our ceremony. You can tell that Alan truly loves helping couples start their married lives together! He was so animated when he walked us through some of his favorite readings and unity ceremony options and was equally patient as he helped us created our own ceremony script. Alan made such an overwhelming piece of wedding planning so special and easy! We are so glad that he was willing to be part of our special day.

Alan was extremely friendly and easy to work with. We met with him initially to share what we were thinking and he shared his process. We decided to book him right away because he made everything easy. He provided us resources to help us write our own ceremony. We met once more before the ceremony and then again on the day of. We didn’t do a rehearsal, our venue didn’t need one, but Alan made us feel confident that we would be ready. The ceremony felt like us and we couldn’t be happier!

Back in 2017, my at the time fiance and I were looking for a Justice of the Peace, we were lucky to meet Alan! Alan was very flexible with his availability for our first meet. Between Alan’s calm demeanor to his overall preparation, we knew that Alan would be the Justice of Peace for us. Alan wanted to know about our theme, attendance number, location (Willowdale Estate). Due to his high reputation, he not only knew the location but had worked with our photographer, dj and wedding planner. This created so much less stress for our wedding. Alan Urich gave us so many different styles of weddings that he could do. We loved all of them, the year was now 2018! Our wedding date came sooner than we expected. Alan had always been in contact with us with reminders about certain items still needing to be done. Alan, my fiance and I had a meeting a few weeks before the wedding with a final review of everything we had gone over. Our wedding party was small enough to not have a rehearsal. On the day of the wedding, Alan was prompt and very attentive to everyone in our wedding party. Alan had talked to everyone in the wedding party before the ceremony. Giving directions on what to do. Even without meeting anyone in the wedding party, he talked to each person as if he had met them before. As for the ceremony, Alan was awesome! He was exactly what we wanted. He was clear, concise (It is what we wanted), gathered the attention of all. He was so organized during the ceremony that our wedding party worked flawlessly without a rehearsal. Alan, there is nothing I can say other than, thank you, thank you and thank you.

Alan officiated our wedding in November, 2018. He was very attentive to our do's and don'ts of the ceremony, interested in who we were as people, and was able to tailor our ceremony to exactly what we wanted. He was absolutely amazing!! Up at the alter, my husband and I both messed up our vows (nerves had settled in standing in front of 250 people) and he was able to make a joke out of it and it really made the experience so much more personable and our nerves just left. We were so comfortable with him standing up there with us!! If we did it all over again, he would definitely be our go-to :-)

Alan was very organized and friendly. He was very thorough in our first meeting with him. Throughout the process he was communicative and helpful. We had many questions and he was always available by email and offered to speak on the phone. He provided suggestions for different parts of the ceremony and was able to incorporate both Christian and Jewish traditions into our ceremony. The bridal party found him to be helpful and informative when directing our rehearsal. Alan was excellent the day of the wedding. He was timely and did an excellent job at our ceremony. Alan brought his own Mic and a Mic for the person doing the reading at our ceremony.

We chose Alan to be our officiant based on everyone else's reviews, and could not be happier! From our first conversation with him we were sold. We were planning an out of state wedding, and he made this an incredibly easy process. He was flexible in meeting with us when we were able to come to Massachusetts, and was very prompt in replying to emails and phone calls when we had questions. He provided us with sample readings and allowed us to design our own ceremony, which made it feel much more personal. On the wedding weekend, he was always there early, and helped things run smoothly with his calm demeanor. He even handled two mix-ups in the ceremony (first with the rings and second with the seating arrangement) with ease and subtlety that kept the ceremony going without any problems. Alan officiated our wedding this past October, and we couldn't have been more thrilled. Truth be told, a family friend was supposed to do the job but didn't end up working out, so we didn't contact Alan until about two months before the big day. I was a ball of nerves at this point, but meeting Alan and seeing how calm, experienced, and professional he was completely alleviated all of my fears! Alan helped us totally customize our ceremony (he even found the perfect wording for the 'craft beer drinking portion'...using beer as a metaphor for marriage!); gave us feedback on our vows to make sure they were about the same tone and length; and gave us tips and tricks for applying for the marriage license and how to request copies of the certificate. And that's all before the actual day! Alan had officiated at our venue (the Willowdale Estate) many times before, and was very knowledgeable about the layout, flow, and timing. He was a whiz at wrangling our families and bridal party, had backup copies of every reading and vow, and put everyone at ease. Best of all, he has an incredible sense of humor and had everyone laughing at all the right moments. We had SO many compliments from our guests about the ceremony portion of the wedding! Alan, we can't thank you enough!!
