In addition, he also served as the wedding officiant for season 14 of the popular Lifetime TV series, Married at First Sight. email, he was extremely responsive and friendly. We scheduled a phone call shortly after because Steven wanted to get to know us as individuals and as a couple, he also talked to us about his personal life and career life which made us more comfortable with him because it felt as if we knew him better and felt more connected. We decided to have Steven as our JP, and throughout the year of planning he was able to get to know us better and was able to use the stories we told him to add to our script, it was absolutely beautiful everything he had written. During our ceremony, he checked on me before I walked down the aisle which was very thoughtful, and during the ceremony he was able to speak very clearly and delivered some humor to help us relax because I was extremely nervous and squeezing my husbands hands. We both appreciated the funny moments to help the nerves. Since we decided not to write our own vows I was highly impressed with what Steven had written and how it represented us and our future. It was a pleasure to work with him and I couldn’t have been more happy. (Thanks again Steven for the Lord of the Rings moment, it was PERFECT).

re is one person who definitely stands out, and that is our officiant — Stephen Martins. Kevin and I are both religious. It was important that our ceremony included that fact. Steve tailored our ceremony perfectly. After receiving our first email, I knew he was the one. I felt like he really took the time to ask about our relationship and hear our story because he genuinely cared! He kept communication with me throughout the entire planning process and made sure we were on time with getting the legal process taken care of. I really appreciate this, because the closer you get to the wedding day, the more tasks you have to complete and little things can get forgotten or missed!
Steve attended our rehearsal, and immediately I knew we made the right choice. He has such a calming voice in the midst of all the chaos and gave me the best advice for the big day. Because of Steve, I was able to remain calm at the altar, look into my husband’s eyes and take it all in. I did not see anyone else in those moments, which is a gift I will forever cherish and never forget. My wedding party and guests had nothing but great things to say. Steve is punctual, flexible, professional and very genuine. He wrote out our ceremony and was able to pick the perfect phrasing for how we felt about each-other. He has a great range to customize the ceremony to what you’d prefer. (We aren’t very religious, but Steve was able to make our ceremony so deep and meaningful without religious phrasing) He coached us through the process of getting a marriage license, He verified 2 times right before the wedding that we were all set with everything and he was super willing to adjust to whatever we needed.

We didn't meet in person until the day of the ceremony, but as promised, that was OK! By that time we had had enough communication to feel comfortable and like he knew us well enough to perform a meaningful ceremony.

e laid it out as clear and concise as could be. We were also able to bounce ideas around which helped us immensely in deciding what we envisioned for that day.
Steven made it worry free by sending reminder emails throughout this process regarding obtaining the marriage license by a certain date and checking in periodically as well as calling me directly the day before the ceremony.
Steven also sent us a copy of the ceremony reading and asked us to add or omit as we saw fit. That in itself made it special to us because he added a nice little nod for my father who had passed away 2 years ago and couldn't be with us on our special day.
He was extremely personable and gracious and made everyone at the ceremony feel comfortable.
Steven made this process as smooth and stress free for us as can be. I highly recommend Steven Martins every single time for anyone looking for an officiant to perform their ceremony.

From the very first emails back and forth to (finally) the wedding day! Can't say enough good things about Steven! We had a phone conversation that lasted almost an hour and I felt so great afterward, definitely knew we made the right choice! H...
e was so genuinely interested in our love story and who we are as people. At the end I felt like I was talking to a friend. He also told me what to expect from him, 2 things I never even would've thought of but made such a great difference in our eyes...he shows up on the wedding day to officiate in a suit, which we thought looks so nice and classy as opposed to the black robes that many JP's wear. Also, when it's time for our first kiss, he slowly moves to the side so the photographer can get that perfect shot. His script was so good too, I didn't even change anything because I thought it was really perfect. The verbiage he used just sent the perfect vibe. We also recited our own personal vows to each other. After the ceremony was over and I was back having my dress bustled, he came to find me and give me a hug and told me how beautiful he thought our vows were and how in love he could tell we are. He read at such a nice pace too, I felt like it relaxed me because I really was so nervous until I made it to the alter and held my now husbands hands. Everything just flowed so nicely and was a good amount of time. So many of our guests told us how much they loved the ceremony and that it was their favorite part, which is the whole reason for a wedding celebration! It was such a weight off our shoulders to have Steven with us through the process and ensure we had all of the necessary paperwork completed on time. I don't think I could recommend using Steven as your JP enough!

I reached out in New England wedding group on Facebook and someone mentioned Steven. After reading his reviews on the Knot I reached out and he was SO wonderful to work with. He even agreed to honor the price that our original officiant was going to charge us. With less than a month to get organized, Steven did such an incredible job. He was very professional, and yet during the ceremony it felt like he was a family friend. His tone and approach when marrying us was perfect. I would recommend Steven to anyone getting married in Massachusetts (and even beyond). My fiance and I couldn't have found a more perfect officiant for us.

getting your marriage liscence & how quickly he responds. He's so professional, well spoken, & especially thoughtful. He got the venue early, with extra copies of our vows incase we forgot them, & checked in with my husband & I to let us know everything on his part was all set & to make sure there was nothing else we needed. And during the ceremony I gave him my vow book to hold & forgot to get it back from him before he left, but by the time I had gotten back from my honeymoon he had already mailed it back to me! The point is, if you want someone who cares about your wedding just as much as you do then hire Steve.

Steven Martins was always available and easy to reach. He did exactly what we wanted. He sent us the vows to review and we had a phone call appointment and all our questions were answered. He was on time and ran the ceremony perfectly.

We knew Steve was the right person to officiate our wedding from the very first conversation we had with him. He is the perfect combination of fun and serious and he conducted the most beautiful and genuine ceremony we could have possibly asked...
for. We got SO many compliments on how wonderful it was!
Not only was our experience with the ceremony itself great, but Steve was so helpful during the planning process as well! We were planning our wedding from California and Steve was very flexible in his schedule when it came to setting up phone calls which was so helpful for us and took away some of the stress from trying to plan everything from the other side of the country. He offered advice on ceremony planning and how to make sure we had our marriage license good to go to make sure there were no unforeseen problems the day of the wedding. He even called the day before to make sure we were still happy with the script he had put together (we didn’t have any changes because we thought it was perfect as written but he emphasized that we could change whatever we wanted to) and offered assistance in any other ways he could.
We could not be happier with how our ceremony went and would HIGHLY recommend Steve to any couple looking for someone to officiate their wedding.

He was appointed by the Governor of Massachusetts to serve as one of the youngest Justice's in the commonwealth. In addition, he is Ordained in every state to conduct ceremonies. With an impressive career resume, he has been recognized for his hard work and dedication by receiving numerous awards in his hometown and across the State. In addition, he also supports his community by attending many charitable events in his hometown and across the commonwealth.
