Justin is super detail oriented and just does his thing and it’s amazing to be part of but rest assured anything that Justin didn’t get, Ashley did. Ashley also saved me by getting my maid of honor into her dress with a faulty zipper. Literally a life saver. I received 1000 pictures from my wedding and I can not find one bad one and I’m highly critical especially of pictures of myself. You really don’t know they are there and then you look back on a picture and you’re like omg they captured that moment and I didn’t even know. They are just amazing.

They are truly the sweetest husband & wife duo. They checked in on us throughout the planning process and even sent a gift card to a local coffee shop in our neighborhood a few weeks before our wedding so me and my soon to be husband could have a little coffee date. On the actual wedding day they were so calming, and just truly a joy to have around. I felt like they were a part of the friend group! They never made me feel stressed about the timeline, were always so helpful with things beyond their scope (Ashley attached my veil, and Justin tied my husband's bow tie!). They even somehow managed to print and frame a picture they captured that day and gifted to us at the end of the wedding for our first picture of husband and wife. And the pictures...WOW! Exceeded every expectation. They arrived so timely and were just stunning. They captured such special, candid moments. As a long distance bride planning a Florida wedding, she was my lifeline (and bonus, she sent me a lot of useful, non-photographer advice/tips along the way) and made sure the things that were important to us were captured in the most beautiful way. She even recommended a videographer when I wanted one at the very last minute and worked so well with him and our other vendors. And, Justin worked perfectly with the guys and was able to seemingly be in two places at once! A wedding is a very big deal and your photographs are all you have when it is over (besides memories, etc.). I am so glad we invested in a photographer that captured our big day so perfectly. I had so many vendors ask me or my maid of honor a million questions throughout the day, but Justin and Ashley knew what to do. Both are great with kids. They were a huge help in coaxing the ring bearer (2) and flower girl (5) to be a little less shy. Also, great with art direction. I thought that having pictures taken would feel awkward and posed, but Justin and Ashley made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. To top it all off, Justin and Ashley are just incredibly kind and fun people. They have the energy you want to be surrounded by on your wedding day. You will spend a lot of time with your vendors on the day of, so this is important. You can see that they are not only a couple in love, but in love with what they do. Dream team. (Also, get the album. Justin and Ashley have a sophisticated style and the albums are such sentimental heirlooms. You won’t regret it).

Not only did they capture our gorgeous engagement photos that allowed us to feel comfortable as a couple in front of the camera, but Ashley also gave me recommendations for all of my other vendors since we were planning our Tampa wedding from out of state. Their wedding expertise coupled with their open style of communication and frequent messages of encouragement and advice made our pre-wedding months so much easier and much less stressful. I would not have been able to plan a Florida wedding from Minnesota without all of their help and guidance. The day of the wedding these two could not have been more perfect. one, life events is immeasurable! We absolutely felt we were in good hands from the start and it removed a layer of stress in planning that we were expecting. Ashley checked in regularly sending helpful wedding resources, reminders and timelines to keep us moving along toward the big day! We significantly scaled back our Nov 2020 wedding to just 10 people, due to the pandemic. They were so attentive and accommodating on such a drastic change! They photographed our day and intimate ceremony perfectly, and truly captured our personalities and love in each shot! We also had a photo session a few weeks after the wedding at the Ringling Museum. They were so patient in guiding us on getting the best shots...this matters more than you realize! We got previews of both occasions within a very reasonable time. Their online viewing tool is exceedingly user friendly as well as the review tool to see their creative and thoughtful design of albums! They offer premium services and products at a very reasonable price. I HIGHLY recommend them! They are lovely people and quality human beings!

Justin has a great eye for capturing the best light and he gave great direction (without him we would've had very awkwardly posed photos I'm sure :P). They also are genuinely nice, calm and personable people- the type of people you want to surround yourself with during what can be an anxious time (especially during COVID). Ashley and Justin sent regular emails checking in on us, organizing for the big day, and offering advice/referrals for vendors we hadn't yet pinned down. Ashley even organized group Zoom calls with different wedding vendors (like a makeup artist, honeymoon travel agency, etc.) in case we had any questions or wanted to learn more. They really go above and beyond in everything they do. Know that if you hire them, you're getting far more than "just" a photographer. 100/10 recommend!

ographers, I mean I spent at least 70 hours trying to find the best photographer. I finally stumbled upon Justin (since he is located in Florida and we live in North Carolina) through a blog post on Carats and Cake. I poured over his website, as well as his blog posts. It was clear to me that Justin had everything I was looking for in a photographer. One thing I find unappealing about photographers today is that many seem to either over-saturate or over-expose their photos. One of my favorite things about Justin is that his photos are PERFECT in their exposure/saturation levels. Part of the reason this is the case is because Justin positions you in the right lighting. Our engagement session and our ceremony were outside, and our reception was a combination of indoor/outdoor. Justin managed to capture every setting and its lighting accurately and beautifully. Additionally, I knew Justin was capable of high-quality work because he was comfortable using both digital and film photography. This told me he valued the art of photography and was truly an expert in his field. Having now received our wedding photos, I can say with confidence that his images are magazine quality (which is no surprise considering he has been published many times). However, not only are his images high-quality, but they also capture "the moment." In researching photographers, I saw plenty who took beautiful photos, but many seemed to fail to capture that perfect facial expression or gesture. Justin gets it though. He captured the moment in a way that helps you relive it after seeing the picture. Lastly, Justin goes out of his way to make your time with him the best it can possibly be. From little gifts and notes over the course of our engagement, to accommodating our budget by sacrificing on his end, Justin cares more about his brides than I ever thought possible. I also have to thank his wife, Ashley, for her support and work alongside Justin. She is absolutely lovely and immediately makes you feel like a close friend.
